Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow.
You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here!
There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental.
There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings.
There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more!
Our goal is to provide a cozy, private, get-away for people who want to be able to pack a few clothes, some bug-spray/sunblock, some food, and head off to the woods. We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to!
Your site is far from any other homes or roads, surrounded by forest, Canadian Shield, and beaver ponds.
Wildlife abounds, the night skies are clear of light pollution, and there are plenty of birds to see and hear in every season.

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

Camping at the 103 Acre woods is part of the Marlborough Forest. It has groomed pathways in the meadow and rustic pathways through the woods for your hiking pleasure. If you are interested in backwoods camping, it's easy to do here, park your car in the driveway, grab your gear, and head to the back forty!
If camping is not your thing and you just want some private land for the day, such as a photo shoot, or just wandering around, firepit lunch or firepit dinner, just book a site. If you reserve both sites, the entire land becomes yours for the time you are here.
I only list 2 sites for camping so you will have plenty of space and privacy from any other campers. Lots of space to spread out and have your privacy. If you want complete privacy, reserve both sites!
For the tenting campsites, I have 2 available. One is in the front 40 near the playstructure and closer to the house. It's called the "Cedars". You can drive directly to your campsite.
The other campsite is a short hike into the woods and is just off to the side. It's called the "103 Paces". When staying at the 103 Paces campsite, you can drive through the meadow and park just outside of the woods. From there, there is a lawncart you can use to transport your gear to the campsite. Each campsite has a firepit for your use and is close to a shared composting toilet.
If you are staying in an RV, you can park in the driveway and still access all the other parts of the property. Tent campers can select anywhere they want to pitch a tent and enjoy the beauty of the 103 Acre woods. Depending on where you choose to camp, you might be able to drive right up to your site.
Firepit and wood available for use providing there is no burn ban. Water from the hose attached to the house is available for use. You are welcome to use the outside outlets to charge your devices. RV Electric hookup can be used for an extra fee.
I have a composting toilet in a privacy cabana. There will be sanitizer to sanitize your hands. The composting toilet is a shared facility for both campsites. Comes with toilet paper. If you prefer to have your own composting toilet, you can add that on for an extra when you are booking. It's 10.00 more for your stay.
I have a few water jugs to have water at your site if you don't have your own jug.
A compost bin is available for food. A trash can is provided for waste. Recycle bins are in use as well for paper and plastic.
I have patio table that can be used at your site if it's in the front 40. Back forty, I have a smaller more portable table that can be used. It's not too heavy to port.
Firewood is not necessary to bring, there is lots of wood locally here on the property to use, you just have to gather it up yourself. I have a wheelbarrow that can be used to transport it to your site.
There are wetlands and forests and meadows. There is very little light pollution here. Come and gaze at the stars If you are lucky, you might get to hear the resident whippoorwill, he is nocturnal. The sky is beautiful at night. Wake up to the sounds of many birds.
There is a play structure for kids with 2 slides and a bridge, monkey bars, swings, firepole, and climbing wall.
There are many things to find in the back 40. You might find a vintage car bumper, and in the spring if you look really hard, you might come across Lady Slipper orchids. They are stunning in the wild. If you want to trudge through the wetlands, be sure to bring your rubber boots. In the front 40 you can take some fun pictures with a vintage abandoned front end of an Aston Martin truck.
The 103 Acre woods is conveniently located 3K from the Rideau River and Canal in Burritt's Rapids. Burritts Rapids has a nice "Tip to Tip" trail you can hike on the island of Burritts Rapids. Also there is the Henry Street Park, which has a small beach on the Rideau River. The Rideau Trail is located nearby as well. There are many entrances to the Rideau Trail just minutes away.
Located 10 minutes or so from Merrickville. Great fishing along the Rideal Canal lock system. Merrickville has a small beach on the Rideau River. Merrickville has a wonderful Gelato place "Stella Luna". Get your Gelato and walk back to see the boats in the historic Rideau Canal. Lots of history in Merrickville and Burritt's Rapids.

There are 2 well-behaved chiahuahua's who live on the property. They will see you at the meet and greet. They will for sure welcome you to their yard. Your dog is welcome, just remember to pickup after them.

We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb.

Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge.
This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

Welcome to Camping with a View!
Situated in Myers Cave, Ontario famous for its stargazing opportunities. Your tent site overlooks two lakes, where you can see and hear rapids while enjoying the peaceful sounds of loons and nature by the fire pit.
There is a cabin on site however it is not for use, other than for sitting on the wraparound porch for a better view or to get shelter from the sun/rain.
Included in the price:
- access to the site (2 flat areas for smaller sized tents)
- firewood (please keep the fire controlled)
- canoe/paddles and two lifejackets for you to use
- ability to use the wraparound patio at the cabin to sit and get out of the sun/rain
A path down to the water makes it easier for you to get to the canoe (please leave the canoe and paddles as you found it, flipped over). Fishing and swimming are great closer to both sets of rapids. 2 lifejackets are kept in the outhouse if you don't bring your own.
Firewood is included so please do not cut trees! There is a pit toilet on-site for your convenience. There is also a small grill that is left by the fire pit for cooking with the fire.
Please note it is recommended that you have a 4X4 vehicle in order to access the site (maintain 20-30km/h going up the steep driveway). Take the driveway up two steep inclines and park at the dead end.

Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow.
You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here!
There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental.
There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings.
There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more!
Our goal is to provide a cozy, private, get-away for people who want to be able to pack a few clothes, some bug-spray/sunblock, some food, and head off to the woods. We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to!
Your site is far from any other homes or roads, surrounded by forest, Canadian Shield, and beaver ponds.
Wildlife abounds, the night skies are clear of light pollution, and there are plenty of birds to see and hear in every season.

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

Camping at the 103 Acre woods is part of the Marlborough Forest. It has groomed pathways in the meadow and rustic pathways through the woods for your hiking pleasure. If you are interested in backwoods camping, it's easy to do here, park your car in the driveway, grab your gear, and head to the back forty!
If camping is not your thing and you just want some private land for the day, such as a photo shoot, or just wandering around, firepit lunch or firepit dinner, just book a site. If you reserve both sites, the entire land becomes yours for the time you are here.
I only list 2 sites for camping so you will have plenty of space and privacy from any other campers. Lots of space to spread out and have your privacy. If you want complete privacy, reserve both sites!
For the tenting campsites, I have 2 available. One is in the front 40 near the playstructure and closer to the house. It's called the "Cedars". You can drive directly to your campsite.
The other campsite is a short hike into the woods and is just off to the side. It's called the "103 Paces". When staying at the 103 Paces campsite, you can drive through the meadow and park just outside of the woods. From there, there is a lawncart you can use to transport your gear to the campsite. Each campsite has a firepit for your use and is close to a shared composting toilet.
If you are staying in an RV, you can park in the driveway and still access all the other parts of the property. Tent campers can select anywhere they want to pitch a tent and enjoy the beauty of the 103 Acre woods. Depending on where you choose to camp, you might be able to drive right up to your site.
Firepit and wood available for use providing there is no burn ban. Water from the hose attached to the house is available for use. You are welcome to use the outside outlets to charge your devices. RV Electric hookup can be used for an extra fee.
I have a composting toilet in a privacy cabana. There will be sanitizer to sanitize your hands. The composting toilet is a shared facility for both campsites. Comes with toilet paper. If you prefer to have your own composting toilet, you can add that on for an extra when you are booking. It's 10.00 more for your stay.
I have a few water jugs to have water at your site if you don't have your own jug.
A compost bin is available for food. A trash can is provided for waste. Recycle bins are in use as well for paper and plastic.
I have patio table that can be used at your site if it's in the front 40. Back forty, I have a smaller more portable table that can be used. It's not too heavy to port.
Firewood is not necessary to bring, there is lots of wood locally here on the property to use, you just have to gather it up yourself. I have a wheelbarrow that can be used to transport it to your site.
There are wetlands and forests and meadows. There is very little light pollution here. Come and gaze at the stars If you are lucky, you might get to hear the resident whippoorwill, he is nocturnal. The sky is beautiful at night. Wake up to the sounds of many birds.
There is a play structure for kids with 2 slides and a bridge, monkey bars, swings, firepole, and climbing wall.
There are many things to find in the back 40. You might find a vintage car bumper, and in the spring if you look really hard, you might come across Lady Slipper orchids. They are stunning in the wild. If you want to trudge through the wetlands, be sure to bring your rubber boots. In the front 40 you can take some fun pictures with a vintage abandoned front end of an Aston Martin truck.
The 103 Acre woods is conveniently located 3K from the Rideau River and Canal in Burritt's Rapids. Burritts Rapids has a nice "Tip to Tip" trail you can hike on the island of Burritts Rapids. Also there is the Henry Street Park, which has a small beach on the Rideau River. The Rideau Trail is located nearby as well. There are many entrances to the Rideau Trail just minutes away.
Located 10 minutes or so from Merrickville. Great fishing along the Rideal Canal lock system. Merrickville has a small beach on the Rideau River. Merrickville has a wonderful Gelato place "Stella Luna". Get your Gelato and walk back to see the boats in the historic Rideau Canal. Lots of history in Merrickville and Burritt's Rapids.

There are 2 well-behaved chiahuahua's who live on the property. They will see you at the meet and greet. They will for sure welcome you to their yard. Your dog is welcome, just remember to pickup after them.

The Ridge Retreat is 6 acres of beauty topped off with amazing waterfront and an awesome new dock. A gravel road has been prepared from the road access right down to the lake. We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb.

Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge.
This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution.
Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog.

Welcome to Camping with a View!
Situated in Myers Cave, Ontario famous for its stargazing opportunities. Your tent site overlooks two lakes, where you can see and hear rapids while enjoying the peaceful sounds of loons and nature by the fire pit.
There is a cabin on site however it is not for use, other than for sitting on the wraparound porch for a better view or to get shelter from the sun/rain.
Included in the price:
- access to the site (2 flat areas for smaller sized tents)
- firewood (please keep the fire controlled)
- canoe/paddles and two lifejackets for you to use
- ability to use the wraparound patio at the cabin to sit and get out of the sun/rain
A path down to the water makes it easier for you to get to the canoe (please leave the canoe and paddles as you found it, flipped over). Fishing and swimming are great closer to both sets of rapids. 2 lifejackets are kept in the outhouse if you don't bring your own.
Firewood is included so please do not cut trees! There is a pit toilet on-site for your convenience. There is also a small grill that is left by the fire pit for cooking with the fire.
Please note it is recommended that you have a 4X4 vehicle in order to access the site (maintain 20-30km/h going up the steep driveway). Take the driveway up two steep inclines and park at the dead end.

Literally the best experience. We camped in -30 temps and Jacob made sure we didn’t die 😁 all jokes aside, it was a very warm and welcoming environment. Great animals, felt safe, had an awesome adventure and made memories that will last a lifetime. He’s got the best goat - I thought I already wanted a goat but now I’m convinced 🤩 we love u timbit

This place offers a lot of good things. It’s close to the store in case you need something. Place is quiet enough to relax. You can also walk around Meg’s property. And Meg is very hospitable making sure that every hour/minute that you spend here is worth it. I’m looking forward to coming back especially when the weather is a little nicer and warmer.

Thank you Meg for the stay and hospitality. I stayed for a night and was driving from Quebec City. Meg waited till my arrival and also arranged for camp fire before I arrived. She communicated throughout the stay and was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing as I was driving back to home. She updated me with weather forecast which was very sweet of her. Her two dogs are adorable, especially wearing ring light at night. So cute! Meg is friendly and kind. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Meg’s land is absolutely beautiful. I have stayed at many Hipcamp properties and this is by far my favourite. You are surrounded by natural beauty all around. Meg is an excellent host and was incredibly helpful. From the moment I arrived she made me feel at home. It is easy to tell that she is passionate about her property and loves to share it with fellow nature-lovers. I definitely recommend spending the extra couple of bucks to have the composting toilet; It was very convenient. The location is also very convenient. It allows you to be away from it all, but only 15-20 minutes from anything you need or want. I highly recommend Meg’s 103 acres for your next camping trip to the area. I know I’ll be back!

Beautiful location, it’s as quiet as the description makes it out to be. The campsite area that was provided was well kept and tidy. Some of the amenities were not available due to the lateness of the season and were disclosed prior to arrival. It’s a pull-in site that I feel limits the overall length of vehicle and trailer to get brother location so I’d recommend you check with the host about that if you’ve got a larger rig and may need to coordinate things. I’m relatively new to backing in trailers and I got it parked without any damage (and no spotter). I didn’t have an opportunity to explore the land as much as I wanted, there’s so much to explore. Eric was very welcoming, and provided ample firewood.

First of all, id like to thank Brian and Jen for welcoming us on to their land. This was a fantasfic experience. Brain ended up meeting us and welcoming us to his area. He then took all of our stuff to site with his side by side.
This spot was beautiful, set up extremly well and maintained and very quiet. We had a canoe to use, and although the water is shallow and weedy, a canoe here was a great time. We paddled and explored various islands.
Night time the stars we great although the moon was too bright for them to truly shine, we were able to see saturn and its rings using our telescope.
On our 4th and final day, brian and i had agreed on a time and he met us, using his side by side once again to cart our stuff back. He even helped us scour the site to make sure we didnt leave anything behind.
Overall, it was an acceptional stay and the hospitality and kindness of Brian made it a trip to remember.

We had a great time at The Ridge Retreat! The campsite is beautiful, well-maintained, and the views are amazing. The fire pits were perfect, and we really appreciated how easy it was to set up camp near the road at the top of the hill. That spot is very convenient for loading and unloading gear, though being close to the road does mean you’ll occasionally hear passing cars and nearby dogs. Next time, we’d probably choose a spot closer to the water for more privacy and atmosphere.
The trail leading down to the water and lower campsites is long with steep inclines, so be prepared for a bit of a trek. We brought a wagon, which made transporting our things manageable—without it, carrying everything would’ve been tough. The dock and water setup are absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our days down there soaking in the views, and our dog had the best time playing by the water. We didn’t swim ourselves, and while we didn’t catch any fish, just being by the water was incredibly relaxing.
The host was wonderful—very friendly, accommodating of our late arrival, and made sure we had plenty of firewood. Overall, we’d definitely recommend The Ridge Retreat to anyone looking for a scenic, peaceful camping experience with a balance of convenience and adventure.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful location. Everything that we needed was taken care of. Rachel was an excellent host and I can't say enough about how helpful Brian was at making sure we were looked after. I will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend!!!

Weekend Trip to Glamping - Intimate Cabin & Campsites
My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time! Choleena and Larry were the perfect hosts- super helpful, non-intrusive and even told us we could check out at anytime on our last day. The cabin was also great, very clean and well taken care of. Super close to Perth which is a very charming town. We would certainly love to return!

The pictures truly don’t do this spot justice! It’s very beautiful and spacious. My mother even took a photo of the outhouse because she couldn’t believe how clean and nice it was 😂. Very private and quiet space. View of the water was definitely a hike but absolutely worth it. An excellent time was had by all! Already planning to visit again! ☺️

It was an amazing spot to stay, the outhouse was super clean, it was very quiet and peaceful!
It is definitely a hike to get to the water from where we decided to put our tent up so we will definitely remember to bring the wagon next time, to make bringing things up/down a bit easier.
We brought our dogs and they LOOVED It - soo many squirrels to chase and they loved jumping off the dock
Overall super nice spot!

It is basic place to camp for the night ; next to the host house . It has the basic with electric and compost toilet which was clean . And it was peaceful as I was the only one at the place . That was good for me since I have dogs that like to play around without a leash

This is our second visit this summer to Tiny Village Woodlands. Such a nice park! Very clean and well cared for. We loved this site. It is a large site, with good privacy. It has an upper and lower level which is right on the water. The incline between the levels is steep, which may not work for some but was fine for us. Monica is a great host, very friendly and accessible if you need anything. We have nothing but good things to say about our visit.

He has everything you could possibly need on the campsite, and the outdoor shower is a great touch!

Our 3rd visit was as beautiful as our first two visits. The squirrels, owls, loons, deer, snakes, and toads were exciting to see and hear. Staring quietly into the woods was mesmerizing. We love the peaceful place and privacy. Eric keeps the place in great shape, and goes the extra distance to help with any questions or problems.
