Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow.
You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here!
There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental.
There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings.
There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more!
Our goal is to provide a cozy, private, get-away for people who want to be able to pack a few clothes, some bug-spray/sunblock, some food, and head off to the woods. We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to!
Your site is far from any other homes or roads, surrounded by forest, Canadian Shield, and beaver ponds.
Wildlife abounds, the night skies are clear of light pollution, and there are plenty of birds to see and hear in every season.

-- What to do around the cabin?
Mosque Lake and Ompah offer many adventures and places to discover. Go out on a hike and explore the trails in the area. Go on a photographic adventure and try to capture the best wildlife shots around the lake. Take a SUP or a kayak -available for free for the guests- and explore the islands. And if you like to prepare fresh fish-based dishes, Mosque Lake has great trout and perch fishing.
If you like to follow the winds of winter, take a pair of snowshoes available at the cabin and go across the lake and have a winter picnic. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish!
*Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin.
Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well.
*Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety.
*Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins.
* If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat.

Guest are welcome to bring their own firewood. The first crate of firewood is included with your stay, and each additional crate is $5. The firewood is self-serve and we ask you to simply let us know how much wood you have used during your stay, or leave the appropriate funds on your table at check out.
Guests are responsible for removing their garbage and recycling from the cabin and bringing it to the garbage shed. The township requires all waste to be sorted, and the containers in the shed are labelled accordingly. Please sort your garbage and do your part to help save our planet.
We do have neighbours on one side of our property and share the peninsula with our amazing cottage community. Please be courteous to our cottage neighbours. We ask that you respect them and the noise levels while staying with us.

Our Farm is located on the very edge of the Canadian Shield, so most of the landscape is a rocky, rugged, and naturally wooded. Throughout the property are numerous short, looping, walking trails that meander throughout the Sugar bush, pasture area, 3 season pond, and our farm animal "homes". These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers and plants, see and hear song birds, small animal wildlife and of course, farm life too.
We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution.
Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog.
During your stay with us you are welcome to come learn about and interact with our animals and daily farm life, if you so desire, and farm fresh eggs, maple syrup, local honey, and homemade baked goods, are also available to purchase too. (check out our "Extras" Section at booking page.

A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

Escape to The Nest, a charming off-grid tiny house with tiny wood stove, perfect for adventure! No need to disconnect - we’ve got WIFI! Make sure to enjoy the deck and nearby gazebo! Inside, you'll find your queen bed in the loft at the top of a ladder. The tiny house is surrounded by trees, and the interior has a platform couch and bench for seating, tiny wood stove, tiny kitchen, "shower" area for sponge bathing, and a composting toilet. (There is no running water or electricity). We are stocked with all bedding, towels, dishware, tea, coffee, and a French press! You'll find a BBQ and camp stove for cooking on the deck - there's no fridge, but a cooler with ice packs will be provided. Battery packs are here for charging cell phones and laptops (with USB-C and USB). The tiny home comes complete with rechargeable lamps, battery powered lights, potable drinking and washing water, and WIFI! Consider this the most indoor camping experience you can have and still be out in the woods!
You'll want to be comfortable with making a fire and keeping warm in the winter months! The tiny stove will keep you warm on the coldest winter days, but you have to keep it going. :) In the winter months, we'll get the stove started to warm everything before you arrive (and provide you with kindling and wood). When cleaning out the ashes in the stove (if necessary,) please use the metal pail outside and place the ash-filled pail back on the concrete blocks. Please note that there is no other heat source.
Check out Mill Pond Conservation Area for great hiking about 15 minutes away! Maybe Rock Dunder Nature Reserve for hiking and AMAZING views? (30 minutes).
Check out Rideau Ferry Beach (Yacht Club Conservation Area) for public swimming on Rideau Lake nearby the tiny house!

Unplug and unwind on our quiet countryside property, located just 10 minutes from Perth, Ontario. Set on a small working farm, our two private campsites are surrounded by open fields and peaceful forest, offering a relaxing rural getaway with river access just a short walk away.

• RV-accessible site with a level pad, picnic table, and fire pit
• Tent-only site tucked into a quiet corner of the property, also with a fire pit, picnic table, and private outhouse
Both sites are spaced for privacy and come with access to a shared outhouse and a scenic stretch of the Mississippi River just a short walk from your campsite The river is ideal for swimming, paddling, or simply relaxing by the water.
The campsites are located on our small working farm, home to friendly goats, pigs, and chickens. You're welcome to keep your distance, but if you're curious, you're invited to say hello to the animals or stop by our little on-site farm store for fresh eggs, local products, and seasonal treats.

3 nights at Brass Point Farm Bunkie
We took our 7 month old son here on his first camping trip. It was perfect! We just put a pack and play on the single bed. So great to have more space and shelter and less packing than a tent. Very peaceful. There were lots of great places in the area to explore.

2 nights at Black Maple Farm
The Stargazer Bunkie was an excellent choice. The location beside Tango's pasture was relaxing and it was fun to watch him prance around and whinny. we even heard him snoring beside our campfire one evening. The stars are plentiful on a clear night and the firefly's are fun to watch as well. Bring mosquito spray as they are pesty. I'd recommend this spot to anyone wanting to get off the grid for a few days.

We had a fantastic stay at Fen's campsite! Fen was very friendly and welcoming. The tent was clean, spacious, and well equipped. We really enjoyed using the bikes and canoe to explore the peaceful island. It was a unique and relaxing getaway, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet nature escape. This appears to be a wonderful place to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of the wildlife and forest, offering a truly peaceful experience. It seems there is an abundance of propane and firewood available, and the bunkie itself is very cozy. Furthermore, there appear to be many activities in the surrounding area to ensure a delightful stay.

Honestly the sweetest little get away spot- we had the stargazer bunkie. Lisa is an amazing and honest host who truly went above and beyond for us. They have all the necessary amenities and the farm animals are truly a blessing- the horse kept us company. Close to near by restaurants and other great attractions, we had a very comfortable sleep. I can’t begin to explain how beautiful Agape Gardens are with carefully thought out landscaping , privacy, tranquility and excellent sites for camping or cabin stays.
The warmth and generosity of Jennie and Jeremy and their delightful homestead made this stay all the more memorable. The wild spa with wood fired sauna and hot tub was fantastic!! I highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens because the beauty and personal renewal it offers in a stunning setting is worth everything. A place to revisit for sure!!

If you're looking to get off the grid go and relax at Lisa's Stargazer cabin. It was so relaxing. The opportunity to see the stars so bright is exciting. Her horse Tango which is next to the cabin is a joy to watch. We didn't interact with the goats or chickens but we walked right by them on they way to our spot. If we're back in the area I know I'll try to book this spot again.

Weekend Trip to Eco Acres Farm
We loved our stay at the Acres Eco Farm’s Robin’s Nest ! We stayed 2 nights and we were really sad to leave.
You have the shower and toilet little house literally a minute away if you don’t feel like going to the outhouse ;)
Plenty of wood to pick up on the floor around the property to make a fire in the fire pit.
The cabin had the essentials to cook and it made the difference for us
We also rented the canoe for the day and had the best time paddling and swimming in the lake it’s a must !
We had the chance the chance to meet Lauren and she was adorable. Gave us some fresh mint, camomille and calendula flowers to make some tea. Along with some delicious wild berries !

Had a very pleasant stay at Agape Gardens. The tent is clean and nicely furnished. The sauna was relaxing and I highly recommend the delicious breakfast sandwich. It can get cold out there at night so maybe bring a sleeping bag. I'd also recommend a lamp or flashlight of some sort for the walk from the tent to the bathroom in the main house.

Beautiful land by the river. Chris and his family were the perfect hosts. We had the cabin for two nights and it was perfect. Everything in the kitchen for cooking was supplied and Chris also brought down a battery charging our cooler.

Very cool spot to camp! Lovely little island getaway. Tent is spacious and well equipped. Fen made sure we were setup with kayaks and bikes. You can't swim off the dock as there are too many weeds, but there's a small (rocky) beach a short bike down the end of School Rd that the kids really enjoyed swimming at. At Fen's recommendation we spent an afternoon at Big Sandy Bay Beach on Wolfe island and it was definitely worth the drive!
