This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. Chris was very generous host. He provided us an abundant and complimentary supply of firewood. It made our evenings effortless and cozy. We will definitely return!

Joan is a wonderful host. Very thoughtful of her guests. Her land is beautiful. All of her sights are private and have a fireplace and picnic table. Her dogs Sid and Onyx are beautiful friendly dogs. We had a dog with us and they play all weekend. We are looking forward to going back within the next couple of months.

Loved our time at Joan's place. First time using hipcamp so had no idea what to expect, and it was awesome. I plan on returning many times, it is PERFECT, for cyclists who want to use it as a base camp or are through riding. Had a great time, 10/10 will return!

Renee & Randy your property is beautiful. We loved walking all your trails with our dogs. The thought you both put in to the little details like the dog library was so cute. The sunsets were gorgeous and we loved sitting on the floating dock every morning to drink our coffee. If anyone is looking for a get away weekend to disconnect this is the place to go!

We loved camping in the bunkie at Pine the Sky. Joan was an amazing host, super friendly, very accommodating. She has two beautiful dogs that are very playful. The campsite is very cozy and the views are beautiful! Will definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to Cabinco - Northern Bruce Peninsula

My wife, our dog, and I had a great time staying here for 2 nights. The trailer is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. We would definitely consider coming back in the future. The only downside was that the site we chose offered almost no privacy, and the neighbouring site was very crowded and noisy with over 14 people, two tents, and three cars. I was under the impression that trailers usually have a maximum of 4 guests, so this was a bit unexpected. Overall, a good experience and a nice spot, but something to be aware of depending on the site you choose.

Joan was accomodating and welcoming. She was easy to talk to. Anything we needed she was quick to assist. The cabin was small but wide enough to fit 3 people (and a dog), it wasnt too cold in the cabin and electric source is provided for. If someone is looking for camping but would like to skip the setting up of a tent part, then this place is good for you

Cabinco 8 was nice. We were able to launch our kayaks directly out back of the cabin which was convenient. The cabin was clean and spacious. Our youngest grandson and his parents enjoyed fishing off the main dock. It was also very affordable. Thanks again

Weekend Trip to Rowley's Saugeen River Adv. Acres

Excellent campsite, the river access is a great spot with stairs going down. Do wear good water shoes for the large rocks. We made a raft of four donuts and floated down the river to the conservation site. Very fun, the trek up river was a task as the river seems slow when going down. Have fun! Next to the field we saw lots of butterflies and stars!
