It was a great spot to pitch a tent and unwind after a few days of fishing some Haliburton lakes. Easy to get to and Jennifer was a great and helpful host. The location is very scenic with the marsh and pond nearby and beautiful tall woods surrounding the site. We didn't get to meet Jennifer (we were too busy fishing all day) but she kept in contact and provided firewood as needed. The only downside I could think of was the barbecue on site didn't seem to have any propane, which was no big deal. We brought our own and actually didn't even know there would be one provided. The outhouse was a bit rustic, but for two guys living off the land it was a luxury to have a toilet at all. Lol. Would definitely go back!

Our stay at the Robyn's nest was very enjoyable! Ronald and Robyn are great, friendly hosts that have maintained a beautiful property. Not only have they provided a fully functional washroom on site, but they take the time to clean it regularly. There are also many things to do nearby. We will definitely be back to spend more time here!

Easy directions. Flat site to camp on after a short steep hill access.
Deer, wild turkeys, loon & more
Right across the road from a beach where you can swim and a white water racecourse where you can watch people playing, and or racing in the rapids.
A clean washroom as well.
I short drive in to town makes it one of the best places I’ve camped.

What a treasure! From such a warm welcome by Ronald and his wife, the beauty of the land that we camped on and the raved about bathrooms (yes they are soo clean!)
Hubby and I wanted to stay longer as this HipCamp is nested between Horseshoe Lake and Minden's Wild Water Preserve- literally at the end of the driveway!
Lots of activities /games available on property for you to use at your leisure.
The ambiance from the rapids was dreamy

This site is perfect for those passing through Halliburton, or just wanting a getaway from the city and connecting with nature.
I only stayed 1 night with my biker friends, so we rode to the site. Site is extremely easy to find, and we are just a short trip to the main town for groceries or restaurants.
The night time is where it really brings out the beauty of this site. The trees make a perfect vignette to the night sky, and we spent HOURS stargazing.
Our host Jennifer was a saint! She’s super responsive!
The only rough part was riding through the gravel/dirt roads, but that is nothing to be worried about. If you’re a good rider, you’ll manage.

we loved tent camping at robyn’s nest, great campsite and slim shady is highly recommended (and not just because of the name). bathrooms were clean and the lake was just a stones throw away from the site, with a easy access boat launch. 10/10 would book again!

Ronald and wife are very accommodating and friendly, they don’t mind spending time just to check if guest are all good and having fun!
Very clean, quiet, and washroom is well maintained, Area is just a walking distance from lake and river. You’ll never get board in the camp site, they set up plenty of activity that all ages can play with, mini park for kids as well,

Robyn’s nest is one of the best camping sites so far. Both couple are very accommodating, kind and they’re always making sure we’re doing well in our site.
The washroom is well maintained, clean and smells good. So many fun activities/games they prepared to make your day fun and enjoyable experience.
The site are just a few minutes walk down the beautiful, calm Lake and Stunning Running water River that you surely gonna enjoy the cool water from the river.
I definitely recommend the Robyn’s nest to my friends to come and visit the site.

We went camping for the weekend at Robyn’s Nest with our dog and it exceeded our expectations. It is a great location, with the water just across the road as well as the rapids. You are still minutes to the town as well for any last minute items you may need. Robyn and Ron were so kind, coming around each morning and evening to ensure everyone had everything they needed and check in on how everyone’s stay was going. There was plenty of lawn games, privacy between all the sites and the bugs were not bad at all! The bathrooms were a great addition as well, very clean and well maintained. We would definitely come back to Robyn’s nest! Thanks again Robyn and Ron for your hospitality - you guys are great! ☺️

We had a blast at our unique camp site. The hosts were absolutely lovely. Ron met us upon arrival and brought us to our site. Was very peaceful and private. There were lots of games to partake in as a family. Was able to swim just across the st. The water was clear and

We had an amazing time camping at Robyn's Nest! The highlight of our trip was how close the campsite was to the beach, just minutes away. The grounds were clean, quiet, and offered plenty of activities for guests to enjoy. The washroom was a huge plus: spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for.
During our weekend stay, we spotted a groundhog, some turkeys, a few cows, and even a deer! Nature all around made the experience even more special.
We’d highly recommend Robyn's Nest to anyone looking for a quiet and fun getaway. Thank you, Ronald!!

Ronald was a great host. Welcoming and helpful the entire stay. The campsite was clean, the available wood was dry, the washrooms are VERY clean. Many games provided. Close to a fantastic little lake. Great walks/ hikes in the area. Would definitely go back. Only comment would be that the campsites are not overly private.

My boyfriend and I brought our Kitty with us for the weekend and had the best time! There were a bunch of outdoor games for us to play, the bathrooms were very clean and the Host were extremely friendly! The beach is right across the stress and there is a beautiful trail looking at the tides. I think you would need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill , but other than that you are set. The morning we left , the cows came right up to our tent behind the fence and it was magical. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend!
