Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome. The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. We love to host people for time away in the fresh forest country air. Many enjoy their time here hiking, fishing or just hanging out reading a book, playing some games or relaxing. You are more than welcome to use our canoe and kayaks, just be sure to wear life jackets, your safety is a priority to us. Dunchurch is well known for its amazing trails such as the Wild Cat ATV Trail only 10 mins from the front door of the Cabin. We are happy to allow you to use the area at your leisure however, please note you must have your own ATV’s and insurance for riding recreational/motorized vehicles, we do not provide coverage for this. If you are considering guides for ATV Trail riding, please let us know. We are happy to make separate bookings for this on weekdays or even weekends. There is an Outhouse just steps from the Cozy Cabin front door to be used for your bathroom needs (just note there is no running water in either the Outhouse or the Cabin). There is a wash station beside the Outhouse for cleaning up, washing dishes or meal prep. Loads of private parking for vehicle(s), recreational toys or other. Inside the Cabin is a queen bed and twin bunks, down filled couch, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, bar size fridge and some games are included for your enjoyment. Whitestone is also well known for 11 lakes within a 5 km radius of the property. Just a wee reminder of what's Included/Excluded: Excluded: Life jackets, bath/kitchen towels, dishes/cups/mugs/utensils, cooking tools, paper towels, garbage bags, bedding (sheets, pillow cases, etc), cleaning supplies, charcoal for the bbque, firewood, lighters or recreational toys. . Marten River Escapes offers six waterfront campsites with 30 amp hydro service and three non waterfront campsites, one with 30 amp and two with 50 amp service. A couple are seasonal sites, most are transient sites. All have access to potable water faucets. A shared comfort station with flush toilets and showers with hot on demand water is centrally located. There is no sewer connections but we do have a honey wagon and guests can access dumping into our onsite septic tank. We also have one rustic glamping cabin in the campground area and a new 14 unit building under construction on the southeast portion of the property. There is an on site restaurant offering dine-in, patio seating, and take out service. (seasonally operated - hours vary depending on the season) In addition to the amenities available on the campsite you will also have access to enjoy the common shared areas of the property. Our property boasts 1000' of waterfront surrounded by crown land. We have a new shared dock with Muskoka chairs and a (typical Northern Ontario) swimming area in our semi-secluded bay. We recommend water shoes for those who go swimming and to bring a fishing rod (and fishing license) if you want to give that sport a go. A sunshade pergola was just added to the main dock area with several other seating areas scattered around the property providing relaxing water views and spectacular sunsets, all available for your enjoyment. There is a large open area to enjoy a game of frisbee or other lawn games. We also have a few water toys. A canoe, a kayak, a peddle boat and two small (fishing type) motor boats are available for a small rental FEE. You must have a valid boaters license in order to be able to rent the motor boat. All water equipment renters must sign a renters agreement prior to use. Due to sizing and proper fit, for safety we do recommend guests bring their own life jackets/pfd's but we do have some that can be used. We have a private boat launch and for a small extra fee you can reserve a dedicated boat slip space during your stay for your own personal watercraft. Boats or other water toy equipment are NOT to be left on the shore. A few local public boat launches into different lakes are also nearby. For those powersports enthusiasts (ATV's, SXS etc.) there are 100's of km's of crown land trails accessible from our property. We do NOT rent ATV's. There is space to park ONE passenger vehicle along with your rv/trailer or tents on each campsite. VERY large trucks will limit the usable lawn space available on the site. Extra passenger vehicles and/or equipment trailers must park in overflow parking.

Onyx’s Haven comprises of a 50 year old cedar log cabin situated on just under 400 acres of serene forested land that wraps around Duncan Lake in Nipissing Township. This solar power supported off grid property has allowed our family to escape from the hectic pace that fills our everyday life. A place to totally disconnect and unwind without the bother of email, social media and whatever else often pulls us away from what’s most important in our lives, making meaningful connections with those most important to us. And for times we need to work we can connect through the cabin's satellite internet while the kids play. Being truly off grid also means NO running water, instead we harvest rain water for general use, and the lake is just steps away too. You need to BRING drinking water. Our off grid log cabin features NO indoor plumbing, instead have two charming outhouses. The 1km gravel driveway does have a few protruding rocks, slow down, enjoy the fresh air and drive with care. [Absolutely NO HUNTING OR TRAPPING permitted on the property]. CABIN FEATURES: 3-bedrooms comfortably sleeping 6 (Linens NOT provided), kitchen with a modern propane stovetop, fridge + freezer, living room with indoor wood stove for cooler nights (a bundle of stove wood complementary, extra available for purchase), BBQ, outdoor fire pit, open deck with picnic table, satellite internet (for a fee) and charming outhouses. As we are located in beautiful northern Ontario, do EXPECT bugs. We had a great time at Light House Landing! We celebrated our 6th anniversary at the cabin and it was a great experience, we woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise on the lake! Jim, Alyssa and Fran have created such a welcoming environment and were great hosts (like texting to tell us turtles were hatching on the beach one morning or showing us how to feed the chickadees). The cabins were very nice, clean and on the water. We would highly recommend this little slice of paradise

We loved camping on Jen’s land! The directions were clear, the trailer was very clean, cozy, and very comfortable. My kids loved seeing the farm animals and we all loved hiking to the waterfall and seeing the beautiful views of nature. The bonfire with marshmallow roasting was a highlight too!

We rented a trailer at Kim's campground, and the amazingly everything was tidy and clean and Kim responded promptly to our requests, it was just three of us and we rented a 6 person trailer, ample space, equipped with heater and fridge lots of lighting. Kim's attitude was friendly and assuring that if you have a problem that can be addressed she will attend to it. She had a stargazing activity set up for everyone. I strongly recommend this camp ground. P.S: the power outlets don't work in the trailer and for you to be able to charge your phone you sould have 12v plugging.

Cabin #1 is great! Beautiful and solidly constructed cabin, great deck and privacy outside, very comfortable bed and cozy gas fireplace all made the stay comfortable and enjoyable! We wish we could have stayed longer and we will come back!

I would recommend this cabin to anyone who loves being in the bush. It is very peaceful and relaxing. This cute little cabin is well equipped with everything you would need to be comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating in every aspect. There was no issues finding this campground. There is a beach just minutes down the road at Eagle Lake Narrows. I will camp here again. I would highly recommend this property even for tent camping.

A beautiful spot with excellent accommodations. Michelle provided such a perfect spot, set up in a way that was easy for us to be comfortable and enjoy the nature around us. The area is gorgeous, and we enjoyed hiking trails in the area and sightseeing. There is also a town close by with everything you need. I highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Nature's Harmony Wilderness Retreat

Jennifer is lovely! So helpful & great service. The property is beautiful and off the beaten track. If you want to get away from people and unplug, this is the place for you! When the description says no cell service, it’s not kidding. I did a solo trip, and to contact my husband I had to drive about 8 minutes up the road on hwy 533 just to get 1 or 2 bars of service. Some things to be aware of - the Little Dipper dome is right next to the Big Dipper dome. There’s a swath of trees between the two sites, but they don’t really provide much of a sound barrier (good privacy, though). Unfortunately, my neighbouring campers were quite loud, which wasn’t ideal. It’s worth noting, that in summer (I stayed in July), the dome gets uncomfortably hot inside during the day, even with the screen door open, air vent on, and curtain closed and stays that way through the entire day, until the cooler morning/evening hours (enjoyable inside when cooler). The hosts provide all the essentials, which is awesome! The composting toilet did not smell at all, and was clean/no flies. I loved the nature sounds very much. The only thing I didn’t like, was the amount of bugs. Bugs don’t usually bother me, but even with bug spray they were incessant, which ruined my plans to soak up nature while there - since the nature experience was my whole reason to go, I was a little disappointed by that. But I definitely will stay again, maybe in a different season (when there’s less bugs).

I struggle to find the right words to describe what an AMAZING time I experienced at Lighthouse Landing. The location is beautiful, with an abundance of wildflowers, pristine waterfront access steps away from any location on the property, and cabins that provide the right balance between comfort and practicality. More importantly, Jim, Alyssa, Asher and Fran (Granny) make the place what it is, Superb! They are friendly, inviting, caring, thoughtful and kind. Somehow they get the balance right between being available to ensure your enjoyment and providing an environment of peace and privacy. My five days four night at this location reminded me of the healing powers of nature, a beautiful setting, and amazing hosts.
