Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. It truly is a " Hidden Oasis " . I really appreciated the quick response back from Laura to my inquiries and too the suggestions she gave for things we could do in the area during our stay. The setting could not have been nicer with large mature trees, a pond you could walk around and large clearing to gaze the stars at night fall. Comments already made about the large fire pit & welcoming large compositing outhouse and paddle boat (s) by the pond edge. Our boating Cat was absolutely fascinated with the pond and racing around the large cedars. Lots of reviews nothing not one negative thing could be said!! Melanie & Ryan were fantastic hosts! They were kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The place is beautiful, and the lights make it magical and easy to navigate around at night. The yurt was gorgeous. My friend and I visited at the end of October, so it got very cold at night. However, the mattress heating pad worked wonders, and Melanie was incredibly kind to offer us additional bedding. Thank you for a great glamping experience!

This was a great location, really beautiful spot. It's secluded and quiet and they included some firewood to start which was really nice. The pond was smaller than expected, and we were hoping it had some fish but I think there was only 1 or two smaller fish in there. They have a paddleboat there which was nice and a small floating dock. Grass was cut very well and property maintained well, the drive in was pleasant. Instructions were sent clearly. Bathroom was clean and it was nice that they were selling firewood for a really affordable price.

It's a nice and scereen spot with lots of space. I wish I could have stayed a few days longer to just sit by the pond and play with fire lol. The host was really nice! He checked in on us all and was very accommodating. The bridge being out dosent show up on Google maps so pay close attention to the instructions to get there quicker. Had a great time! Would go again!😀

Lovely private spot for camping! The hosts were nice and quick to respond to messages. The property was well kept and clean, including the outhouse. The other two sites were occupied on our first night but they were a decent distance away so it still felt fairly private. Would definitely recommend!

It was pretty and campers across friendly and the owners were great, friendly, good communication. The outhouse was supplied with extra toilet paper and sanitizer and comfortable space inside to place flashlights in the dark. They checked up on us when we left to ensure our stay was good.

We would DEFINITELY come back again, it was a very very good experience, private, quiet, easy to find, close to the towns, beaches, and Awenda conservation area. Erin is very kind and welcoming. We had a great time, it rained a lot during our stay but that did not at all affect our trip as there are lots of trees and it was easy to protect our tent with tarps and such. The only downside was the amount of sand that we had in our tent, shoes, and car which could be avoided with our own effort lol My advice for the next campers at this Hipcamp spot would be make sure you bring a small outdoor rug to help with the sand entering your tent, some toilet paper and lots of water! Thank you for having us stay at your Hipcamp location! We hope to return sometime and try out the cabin! :)

I loved camping on Laura's land! We happened to be the only campers there at the time but the other sites were a great distance away and you have a lot of privacy. My dog was exhausted when we left and loved having the freedom to be off leash during the day. My kids loves the pond and the paddle boat. Site #2 had tons of shade. Can't wait to come back!

Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!
