HillTop Homestead in LaHave

This century old Homestead was owned by the Huey family with a lake in front named after them.  We have been the owners for over 10 years with 100 acres of combined pasture and forested land.  We have worked diligently to conserve the land and nature around to create a peaceful nest for ourselves and others to enjoy and experience.  Explore the nature trails in the forest or walk around and discover the gardens and greenhouses and make friends with the chickens.

Blueberry Run Trail RV Site

1 private premium site for a self contained RV, Travel Trailer or Camper Van on private land with no other campers near you. No Tenting or car camping permitted. (This is not a campground. There is only 1 site.)

The site has a potable water tap, 20 amp electrical outlet and Free high speed WiFi at the site. If you require black water service, a portable tank is available to book in the addon section of your booking. The tank can hold 80 litres or 21 Gallons. If you require more black water capacity, you can add an extra dump for am extra fee and we will empty the tank and return it for the extra dump. Gray Water can be released into the drain on-site for the shower, sink water discharge etc. 

The site is a solid gravel covered surface that is level. There is a gravel pad section in front of the site that has a picnic table and a fire pit. Firewood is available for sale and will be delivered to the site upon request. There is also a NEW Hardtop Gazebo in 2024 installed on a new wood deck platform that has mosquito netting for added comfort.

The Trans Canada trail is in front of the site where you can walk, bike, ATV or horseback ride. Porters Lake, Lawrencetown Beach, Porters Lake shopping center and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. 20 minute drive to Dartmouth or 40 minutes to downtown Halifax. There is also a café within walking distance called Rose to Rooster. Park your trailer or RV and explore the trails, beaches, lakes and hidden gems this community has to offer. 

Bring your outdoor games, bikes and your camping chairs and let your adventure begin with us. If you surf, we are a surfing destination and we welcome surfers to stay with us and be close to the action (within 10 minutes.)

The site and community is L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ safe and everyone is welcome.

Cannabis is legal here and can be purchased at the local Government NSLC in Porters Lake. Please discard smoking material safely.

MAHONE BAY Trails and Shore

Welcome to Charming Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia! 

We are offering a dry camp experience with the opportunity to rent a room and bath in our home .  The room is on the second floor of our cottage - has a private entrance . The room is a unique attic styled room  with a double sized bed and a small bathroom with a shower , sink and toilet . 

The room has a private entrance and beautiful deck with an ocean view! 
Room is $100 a night 
We also have a bunk house available with a single bed and IKEA kitchen - there isnt a bathroom but you will access the bathroom in the upstairs room . 
Bunkhouse -$50 a night 

Once you arrive , feel free to take a 5 minute walk down to the shore with spectacular views of Mahone Bay and ocean front homes. You can walk to the trailhead for hiking, biking and off-road adventures. We are located 10 minutes to Mahone Bay Village, 15 minutes to Chester and 20 minutes to Lunenburg and Bridgewater.We offer a quiet rural setting where you will not be crowded by other vacationers.

Tent/Camper Camping by the Ocean!

Nestled in a quaint old Fishing Town is a 2-Acre Forest property, that hadn’t been touched since 1885! 

This land overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, with a 25ft bank at the edge of the property, and almost 100ft of private stone beach!

No running water on this property, or accessible toilets (yet) - but 10 minutes by car you’ll find a Sobeys, a liquor store, a Home Hardware, and small local shops.

Feel free to use any dead wood you find on the property (as long as it fits in the fire pit!) 

There should be a grey plastic rounded table available (just pop in the 4 peg legs), and 2 matching grey small coffee side tables you can use. 
They should be positioned at the back of the Tiny Home, just under the stairs.  Please return them somewhere underneath the Tiny Home when you are done using them so that other campers may use them :) 

30 min drive away is the infamous Martinique Beach, where people surf and more!  

Lots of hiking and site seeing available nearby as well. 

A long drive way is the entry point to the camping site. 

All I ask is that each camper leaves the property better than you found it. As you depart, another camper is most likely arriving so please keep that in mind. 

Enjoy the peace and quiet under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze!

There is currently a Tiny Home on the property being built, it is for the property owners to use only. 

Garbage pick-up in this area of Jeddore only allows one black plastic bag to be removed every 2 weeks.  Due to this restriction, I am not able to handle all the campers garbage -- please take any that you create with you.

As of May 2024 the Tiny Home has been moved to allow easy access now for trucks, RVs, and any other vehicles to be able to enjoy the property! 

There is now 120 volts at 15 amps available on the property!  Accessible on the outside of the shed, which is about 100ft from where most people camp.

Learn more about this land:Welcome to our beautiful small country-style goat farm, located only 45 mins from Halifax!You will have your choice of 2 sites. The camping area is ideal for all types of campers. RVers (up to 35 ft) can expect a pull-in site that will require some leveling. There is no toilet on-site so BYO camping toilet. Pets are welcome. Fires are permitted within local regulation. We are located just off the 102 highway outside Truro in the village of Brookfield. You will enjoy spectacular views, ATV trails, lake water sports, parks, and local village shops nearby. Our farm is frequently visited by wildlife.
