When you reserve your tent/rv make sure to select the day you want to check in until the day you are leaving.
For example, to stay all weekend, select Friday to Sunday. To stay only Friday night, select Friday to Saturday. Selecting only one date will not reserve the date you want as it expects a start and end date to select any given date or date range.

Big Belle Farm is surrounded by large hayfields on the front of our property and at the back behind where the concert will take place.
Tenters will be camping in the front fields and RVs will behind the concert field.
When you come onsite there will be someone to meet you who will point out the locations were you can setup your tent or RV.
There will be event Portable Toilets on site and access to water near the concert grounds.

This is a space to slow down. Camp by the river with your tent or fully self contained RV, and enjoy the peaceful river reflections and sounds of nature.
Roughing it, but not too rough. Solar lanterns illuminate the path to the water. Your stay will be completely private. The yard is fenced in case you have a dog.
Close to town but far enough away to feel rural. Reception but no wifi at the river. Set up a slack line or hammock in the daytime, explore the region, and enjoy a fire at night (currently there's a fire ban, scheduled to lift in October).
The river is fantastic for kayaking, canoeing and SUP. You can rent them in town, or BYO. I have one paddleboard available (and two life jackets) if you want to explore the water.

This was one of the original homesteads in the Margarees. There was an old sawmill on site which was used to build the house and barn. It was sold to a man who started renovations for a summer house but ended up listing it for sale. I purchased it and completely renovated the 100-year-old house. Shortly after, my brother and I started an outfitting company with no plan of building a campground, but in 2017 we saw a great opportunity for building something unique. We wanted to keep a backwoods camping feel, but yet create it around a hostel-inspired environment. We launched June 1, 2018 and are in full swing now. Minutes from Northumberland Strait and beautiful Big Island BeachSite has access to River for Kayak or canoe launch which leads into Merigomish Harbour. Walking distance to convenience store and NSLC outlet. Easy drive to Cape George ( The Mini Trail ) and close to New Glasgow or Antigonish. We have beautiful orchards and blueberry fields, if you are here in July or August you can probably pick blueberries for breakfast. There is excellent biking and hiking nearby. The site has beautiful views of the surrounding area and very peaceful and quiet. You will have access to drinking water but no bathroom facilities. We are located between New Glasgow and Antigonish along the beautiful shore road called Route 245. Also, 10 minutes from TCH heading to Cape

This is one of the original properties for the area. Owned by one lovely family since the 1700's until your current (very lucky) host. The house was the post office from 1861 to 1961. One of the rooms was the hospice for the area... SPOOOOOKY!!!
There is a culvert from the 1700's on the property from where the province moved the highway sometime before the 40's. Neat!
Reggie took over ownership in 2020 and is keeping things as original as possible, but adding his touch, like his battle axe travel trailer, Franny, which makes her home in the driveway. She's worth a visit!
- TENT ADVANCED LEVEL LAKESIDE is by far the most beautiful; however, it is a small area, located on the edge of the property, and I can't be responsible for the neighbours to a certain extent.
Fort Nova is your home for as long as you choose. Let's get campy!
**KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE MAY BE OTHERS STAYING THERE** But there are multiple areas to choose from, including: the lawn, living amongst the pines, a forest clearing, or even lakeside (it's rough back there). You can have complete privacy and feel free to reach out to me at the house if you need anything.
For those with RV's, there is an exterior outlet and a water spigot, but please remember, others might be staying there so we need to play nice and share!
On the property, there is:

We own 58 acres of forest centered on a very old shale pit near Crescent Beach, Nova Scotia. Our long-term mission is to regenerate the landscape, returning all of the property to a forest in time. We hope to establish small camping compounds for family, friends and guests who would like to stay with us and enjoy the amazing scenery of Nova Scotia's beautiful South Shore.
Located just below Huey Lake, our property is watered by a stream that flows from the lake, through a series of tiny waterfalls in a gorge, through beautiful pine, maple, and oak forest down to a meandering wetland that drains into the Petite Riviere watershed.
Beavers are active in the area and have already begun the process of returning the old quarry to the wilderness. Their activities have created deep ponds where once there was a pit dug from the land for the shale that is abundant in this area. The beavers dammed and diverted the stream which has created a pond and wetland system at the lower end of the property. If you are very quiet in the early morning you may get to see Castor as he busily swims about his watery home.
Located near some of the most beautiful features of Lunenburg County, our property is a 5-minute drive from Crescent Beach, Risser's Beach Provincial Park, and Petite Riviere. Opportunities to cycle, hike, swim, canoe, kayak, surf and sail are all around us.

This property is located on River Inhabitants which is a tidal river going in and out from the North Atlantic 2x a day.
Located near the village of Cleveland and off Evanston Road. (Not sure why HC states it is near Antigonish?)
Great fishing and kayaking but be mindful of the tides.
Cell phone reception is sketchy.
No wifi available.
Located nearby is a ranger tower to view the area and the stars above.
Best to get all your supplies in Port Hawkesbury if u are just arriving on Cape Breton.
Strait Richmond Hospital. is 10 min. away if needed.
Please be mindful of our garden and young fruit trees.
Please pack out all of you garbage as we do not have local garbage pickup... garbage can be disposed of in local towns.
The town of Louisdale offers free potable water and dump station (located next to Babins Yamaha).
The site is located near Cleveland NS. But unfortunately a snow plow knocked down the street sign a few years ago an despite complaints to Richmond County no sign has been replaced :(
You will turn off Hwy 4 at east at Evanston Rd. then turn south at Johnathan R Bouman Rd. which will be approx 2-3 kms down Evanston Rd. which is the 1st road you will come to. The site is the last driveway on the right. A rope is strung across the driveway, please unhook and rehook when you depart.... Enjoy your stay :)

This 5 acre private campsite is located right off highway 316 very close to Tor Bay Provincial Park, which offers a lovely beach and trails. Basin Brook Camp features a driveway quickly leading to a flat area suitable for a trailer or tents. The property overlooks a wilderness area with stunning sunsets and quiet moonlit nights. It has a cleared area in which blackberries, raspberries and blueberries grow. At the back of this cleared area is a marked trail leading to the shoreline on Gammons Basin. Along one side of the campsite land is Basin Brook, which is a tidal stream that can be accessed easily by the road. Deer have been seen on the property, and moose, otters and seabirds nearby. Basin Brook Camp is quiet and secluded with no neighbours in sight.
Please note that this is a drive on and off site so a trailer would need to be backed in. There is no room to turn around.

We absolutely loved our time at this site! The greatest views to fall asleep and wake up to, walking on the beach at low tide is a must! Our dog absolutely loved running and exploring along the beach.

Two small gravel sites up a small driveway. Could have used some weeding and tending - a bit after peak season. Nicely appointed with some solar lights, chairs, and steel wheel fire pits. No sea view but GREAT star views, and a couple miles from a quiet and fantastic public park sand beach.

Dans hipcamp was a perfect spot to roll into after a long drive from VT. We stayed 3 nights n could easily have stayed longer but for the urge to explore other parts of the coast. It’s near the beach and services in Petpeswick and has trails to explore also. Dan is the best ever communicator I’ve experienced with any Hipcamp or AirBnB reservation! Would definitely stay again.
