Our amenities also include: fishing rods, comfy beds, fresh drinking-water, refrigerator, 2 bathroom facilities, a hot outdoor shower, walking trails, microwave, and AC. The boat can sleep 5 guests, but a private raised glamping tent is provided for overflow if required.
Off property you will find: auto race watching (at Riverside raceway), hiking, biking, ocean fishing, and shopping activities. Downtown Antigonish is but a ten minute drive. The famous Highland Games comes in July along with the Lobster Festival in New Glasgow. The Eastern Nova Scotia Exhibition runs from Aug 27-31.

About 50m just west of our main entrance to the farm and store, you will see a farm road that is marked with "1167 FARM" address sign. Please use that road to come in and just after the little wooded section it will open up and you will see a picnic table to your right. You can park in there. If you need help with anything, just call my cell phone 902-326-1015 Please note that there could be another camper if booked, so please park accordingly. Store is located in the small white barn next to the white house. The black building nearest the camp area is my parents house - not the store, so plesae do not walk in there. ;) lol

You will turn off Hwy 4 at Evanston Rd. then turn south at Johnathan R Bouman Rd. (look for the black boots hanging on the wires above to turn at) which will be approx 2-3 kms down Evanston Rd. and is the 1st road you will come to. The site is the last driveway on the right. A rope is strung across the driveway, please unhook and rehook when you depart.... Enjoy your stay :)

Connecting with nature, watching for wildlife, hunting, and many other activities await at this 25 acre campsite. The site is perfect for recreational use and off-grid use, including tent and RV camping. Topographically, the terrain is more or less level throughout, the site is forested throughout in maturing spruce, tamarack, pine, maple birch and poplar trees. A small brook runs along the westerly boundary and continues East and North to the Mull River and Mabou River. There is also a large portion of Crown land bordering the southern end of this parcel. This quiet region has remained pretty well unchanged over the years. Highway 19 and the Atlantic Ocean are only minutes West via Alpine Ridge Road. The area is surrounded by forest covered hills, rolling farm land and valleys dissected by dozens of streams.
Enjoy the quiet country setting of this property, while still minutes of nearby towns and all necessary amenities. Rectangular in shape, this large and private site offers ample road frontage... 572.4 feet or 174.5 meters, along the gravel surfaced Alpine Ridge Road, providing excellent year round access. Here you have plenty of privacy is offered by the spruce, tamarack, fir, pine, and poplar trees on the land. This lovely treed lot is a great spot for an off-grid retreat with tent or rv camping.
Fishing in the area is very good. The nearby Mabou River and Southwest Mabou River and many other surrounding brooks and streams will provide endless fishing enjoyment. Within an hours drive of your site is the Margaree River - one of the most beautiful rivers in North America. Since the last century fly fishermen have come from all over the world to this area to catch their salmon. The North East Margaree has more than 60 pools and a length of approx. 40 km from the mouth to the sanctuary. The beautiful Lake Ainslie and breathtaking Bras d'Or Lakes are also within convenient reach of your land for those who enjoy world class boating and sailing. Fishing in the Bras d'Or Lake is also very good.
In winter, enjoy snowmobiling on maintained trails that link the trail communities across the Highlands. Cross country ski and snowshoe on countless trails around your property. Or enjoy ice fishing on a frozen bay or nearby lake. There are endless opportunities for outdoor activities all year on and around.
Two newly developed world class golf courses, Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, in the seaside town of Inverness are also within easy reach. These challenging courses are attracting visitors from around the world and offer magnificent views of the breathtaking Cape Breton landscape, with postcard worthy panoramas vying for your attention.

This 5 acre private campsite is located right off highway 316 very close to Tor Bay Provincial Park, which offers a lovely beach and trails. Basin Brook Camp features a driveway quickly leading to a flat area suitable for a trailer or tents. The property overlooks a wilderness area with stunning sunsets and quiet moonlit nights. It has a cleared area in which blackberries, raspberries and blueberries grow. At the back of this cleared area is a marked trail leading to the shoreline on Gammons Basin. When we arrived, it was clear that backing into Pam's spot was going to be tricky with our 16ft travel trailer. The lawn is sloped and the road quite narrow. It took us some time to make sure our trailer wasn't going to tip over. We managed it and also managed to stop local traffic while doing so. No one was there when we arrived but later on Pam's daughter showed up. It seems she is the one to be managing their site which may need some more effort. Pam is lovely and came over to meet us and offer help with whatever we might need. Her dog and ours had a nice time playing which was sweet. All in all, a starter hosting situation with an ok view in a closely housed neighborhood. Beware the slope when you are backing in.

What a special place. Brians property has everything you need to be comfortable. It is very peaceful. He has a very nice area to relax and a large picnic table for meals. The electricity was very helpful for cooking on our skillet. His directions were excellent! I would recommend using Apple maps vs Google maps- Google wanted us to swim across the river to get there but Apple was spot on!

Anne and Steve were very friendly and welcoming. We found their beautiful, sprawling, hilltop property without any problem. The view from our site (#1) was great, despite the heavy clouds and rain. Our travel trailer and truck have a total combined length of 48 feet and we were able to get parked easily, however, I think that any longer combination could find it challenging to get parked.
