Weekend Trip to Decourcy Meadows

tammi and I both felt that decourcy meadows was a really nice spot and location . it has all the services needed for a pleasant stay with anything from a tent to a medium sized unit, our 24' c-class fit with lots of room to spare. our dog enjoyed the open field to run and exercise in and it was a short walk to the beach for some exploring at low tide. Rod and his wife are retired and are very deserving of a star host rating. we immediately felt like family.

Jim's place was awesome! Not only is Jim a great host with little added extras like a fridge you can use, BBQ, badminton/frisbee and "happy hour", but his property is in the most stunning location! Highly recommend a stay here, we'll hopefully be back!

Weekend Trip to Pachamama "Mayne Island" BC

Our stay was great! Halit had a tarp set up for us upon arrival in case of rain and the octagon tent pad area had everything you needed including water, a table and electricity. Thank you for the detailed directions and great communication!

We enjoyed the tranquility on Rod’s land. Thanks to Rod’s suggestion that we had a nice trip to Westwood Lake. Rod and Joyce are excellent hosts.

2 nights at Red Bell Farm

Beautiful location right on the Cowichan Valley Trail system. An easy ride to explore the great vintage shops and cafes in historic downtown Duncan. Gary was easily reached by phone when we ran into an issue with our RV, and offered solutions. We especially enjoyed the peaceful pond complete with frogs, dragonflies, lily pads, and a seemingly unlimited array of friendly horses next door. Would recommend to others, the only caveat being the raucous peacock that woke us from 4-6am each morning. Earplugs recommended!

6 nights at Decourcy Meadows

One of the nicest places to stay😀. Looking out into the beautiful forest and shrubs next to our 12 metre motorhome, picnic table, and a fire pit with lots of wood to burn. Rod and Joyce were fabulous hosts! We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Nice place to park for a couple nights. Reasonably quiet neighborhood (except for a lot of birds!). Rod was a good host. Picnic table and fire ring with wood was ready. Nice walk to a pretty public beach. Short drive to a great pub and a nice kayaking lake. Would recommend.

Great space, lots of room to roam and all services easily hooked up. Jim is an awesome host and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant. Street getting to property is a bit steep, but you're only minutes away from Ganges! No view from the pad but awesome shared deck with great ocean and mountain views. Very quiet, if you want to party may not be your place.

Had a wonderful stay! The campsite was great! Rosemary was absolutely lovely and so sweet! The other guests and their furry friends were also incredibly friendly, would return again if I’m ever on the island! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back and welcoming getaway!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Fan Palm, and it was a fantastic experience! Andre and Rosemary were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location of the campground is perfect, and easy to get to. The amenities provided were top-notch. Everything was clean and well-maintained, convenient access to water and electricity, everything was designed to make our stay hassle-free. One of the highlights of our stay was the presence of adorable pups and the ability to bring our puppy! The hosts' friendly dog and a few other pups added an extra layer of charm to the campground. They were always around to greet us with wagging tails and playful antics, making our experience even more delightful. Overall, Fan Palm is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, excellent amenities, and wonderful hosts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience. Thank you all!

12 nights at Decourcy Meadows

Rod and Joyce are a lovely couple. They’ve created a great spot to camp on their property. Although you are close to the house the site faces into the forest so you have lots of privacy. Really nice touch that Rod leaves a big container of wood for your use. We had lots of campfires. Wifi was a bit sketchy but once Rod got an extender it worked like a charm. We filled a carboy with water at the grocery store for drinking water. Make sure to visit the cedar farmers market on Sunday, really big great market.

1 night at Fan Palm Farm

Rosemary was able to welcome us for 1 night after a last minute request. Beautiful spot with lovely camper neighbors and a cute goat. Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Fan Palm Farm

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this newer Hipcamp. The owners are super friendly and helped us maneuver to the ideal site for our 21ft Sprinter. There are several sites available and we were pleasantly surprised they had full hookups (listing only mentioned potable water access ... they are in the process of updating it). The nearby hens and a rooster made for entertaining company during our stay! The sites are away from the road and we could only hear a tiny bit of traffic during the day. At night we could only hear nature. There are 2 adorable dogs on site who love visitors. There were a few other campsite guests and we enjoyed swapping travel stories with them. The premises felt very safe and peaceful. Make sure to check out the many farms nearly in Saanich, the farmers markets, and the amazing hiking trails in nearby parks with their mountain vistas and ocean inlets. The only very slight item to be mindful of is that the turn to get through the entrance gate is a little bit tight. We made it just fine with careful mirror checks. I believe a 2nd access point may be available for longer RVs.

6 nights at Decourcy Meadows

We stayed with Rod and Joyce for 12 days and had the greatest experience, and made life long friends of them. The site is beautiful and easy to maneuver.... and full service! The surroundings are serene and best of all, the hosts are wonderful people. I look forward to our next chance to visit them!
