Ground is rocky (it is a new property and we are working on it) so car or rv camping is ideal however you are more than welcome to set up a tent. Pet friendly aslong as they dont chase the chickens!

Good place to rest your head for the evening if road tripping. However definitely not suited for tent camping as the ground is very uneven and rocky. Relatively private and good tree coverage. They do have a table and a tarp which can come in handy!

Great place to park my truck for a couple of nights. Protected, shady, quiet, and peaceful. They had a table and a tarp there if I had needed them, which was a nice touch.
It was super dry, so didn't have too many bugs (I could see them being pretty bad if it was wet out). Didn't need to set up a tarp or anything, but plenty of trees to do so if you need to. Also great places for hammocks!
It's perfect if you are staying in a hammock, small camper, or vehicle. I'm not sure where I would have found a non rocky/rooty/rutty place to set up a tent if that's where I had been sleeping, so keep that in mind if you are tenting it. It was great for the set-up I have!
The neighbors house felt a little close, but where and how I parked still felt very private with the angle of my vehicle and the trees. I think I was just more surprised than anything as I didn't notice it in the pictures.
Great spot for a few nights!

With kids
We enjoyed the solitude and feel of being in the middle of nowhere, even though we were very close to restaurants, the lighthouse and Roosevelt campobello int’l park. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and make sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again! The kids loved seeing the rabbits, pigs and cats!

Such kind and generous hosts! It was a joy to hear about the adventures of Laura and Zoltan’s homestead and get to taste the beginning of their beer from their new brewery. Zoltan and Laura were flexible when I made a mistake in my booking dates and made me feel right at home in a cozy tenting spot. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a chill camping spot and some knowledge about exploring the area!

We had to cancel last minute and Taylor was very gracious to us with a refund. She seems like a wonderful host and was communicating with us about the weather and road conditions prior to us deciding on canceling.
