We have a 6.5-acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a dog named Jack and a few cats. Our property backs onto Hayward Lake which is great for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. There are hiking trails to Ruskin Dam and around Hayward Lake. You can also enjoy fishing/floating across the street at the Stave River. Located north of Mission, BC, Hayward Lake offers an array of outdoor recreation for all seasons. Popular for its sandy beach and swimming in the warm summer months, or for the non-motorized boating making it ideal for Kayaking and canoeing year-round. There is also a specialized dog-friendly beach area where you are sure to make a splash and enjoy a fantastic summer spot together. Please note that the trails to the lake from our property are not OUR trails and we are not responsible for grooming them. They are in fairly good condition and is a forest hike. We have 7 campsites to choose from, we hope that you enjoy your stay! Site 1 - Is located at the top of the property, behind the stables. It shares a pit toilet with site 4, which is nearby. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. These two campsites are perfect for larger groups. These two campsites are closet to the trail that leads to the lake. Please note that the trail is not our property and belongs to BC Hydro…it is simply an access to the lake. It is a 3 minute hike to the beautiful lake. Some of our other campers may be walking through to access the trail. Site 2 - Is located on one of the deep corners of the driveway. This is a future glamp site location. Under construction. This site faces the Stave River (west) where you have gorgeous sunsets. Site 3 - Is located above Site 2 at the next deep corner of the driveway, also facing west. This is also a future glamp site location. PLEASE NOTE THAT SITES 2 AND 3 ARE JUST OFF OUR DRIVEWAY, SO PLEASE EXPECT SOME MINOR TRAFFIC. THESE SITES HAVE A ROUGH TOILET SYSTEM - 5 GALLON BUCKET WITH WOOD SHAVINGS AND SNAP ON TOILET LID. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. Site 4 - Please see the notes for Site 1 above. Site 5 - Our WEE LITTLE CAMPSITE. This is our smallest campsite. It too is located on our driveway; just adjacent to the driveway. Late spring and early fall you get beautiful sunsets. This site is good for 2 adults only (NO KIDS). It is located just above a large downhill slope. It too has a Rough toilet system / compost toilet. Site 6 - Is a field site located at the top of the driveway. This is currently our largest campsite. It is a good spot for larger groups. Has a compost toilet as indicated above. Again - bring your own toilet paper. OVERFLOW SITE - This site is reserved typically for campers with small children as it is located in our fenced in yard. No pets are allowed in this area. This has a compost toilet so please bring your own toilet paper. Please note that we provide a 5 gallon jug of water from the local artesian spring. Please use what you need and contact us if you need more water. Our home is run on a shallow well and often have very limited water in the summer months. Final note is that all sites are strictly non-smoking.

Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, and more! The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here. We look forward to hosting you!

Our 33+ acre, picturesque, tranquil property is situated in the Tamihi Recreational Area just south of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Three sides of the property are heavily forested with the Chilliwack River bordering the fourth side. It's only 20 minutes from town but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. The property has a 20 x 60' covered picnic area, a large beach suitable for swimming in summer and fall, and it is also a world-class fishing spot. It has unlimited mountain trails and logging roads for ATVs, mountain bikers/hikers and with Class I - IV rapids, is also a fantastic area for whitewater kayaking and rafting. The national kayaking team trains just up from us and Chilliwack River Rafting is very close by. We occasionally host weddings in the meadow and covered picnic area as well. Your QUIET, well-mannered, leashed (at all times) pet is welcome as long as you pick up after them. There is a minimum of 3 nights on long weekends. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! We are in a very sensitive, natural environment & want it left exactly as you found it so it can be enjoyed by others. We've unfortunately had children cutting down small trees, ripping moss & bark off of trees & damaging playground equipment. For some reason Hipcamp doesn't show my individual sites, so I will list them here. Some say Adults only (a minimum of 19 yrs)due to sharp drop offs to the river and undercut banks that would be unsafe for children. SITES: Site 21. Decourcy Meadows is a peaceful forested site within a short walking distance to a safe local swimming beach. We are an RV-only campsite. The site is level and can accommodate vehicles up to 40ft in length. Electrical, sewage, and potable water hookups included. Amenities include a picnic table, wifi and a fire ring and some fire wood supplied at no cost. If there is a campfire ban in effect we will provide a propane campfire. The property is about half natural forest and so it's not unusual to see local critters, large and small peeking out! There are several hiking trails in the area and local parks as well. There are 3 artisans on Decourcy Drive. The world-famous Crow and Gate pub is 4 km from here and the historic Wheat Sheaf Hotel (Pub) is about 5 km. Local restaurants and Cafes, Groceries, Pharmacy are 5 km. We are a quiet country getaway located 25 minutes from Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. Duke Point Terminal is about 20 minutes. Picturesque town of Ladysmith is about 25 minutes south and the very Unique town of Chemainus is 35 minutes and very worth seeing.

This beautiful property is located only a minute's drive from the beach or enjoy a stunning 10-minute walk down the trail. Also located only minutes away is an amazing trail network for all your hiking and mountain biking needs. You can also take advantage of our onsite massage, daily yoga and home-cooked meals. Pets are welcome, all poop must be picked up, our 2 dogs Rolo and Nala have their own fenced yard but love making new friends. Pinecone Burke Provincial Park

Up the old logging roads of Burke Mountain, Pinecone Burke Provincial Park offers opportunities for hiking and e-biking across natural trails or swimming and boating in Pitt Lake and Widgeon Creek. In the winter, try backcountry cross-country skiing or snowshoeing across the park. The only kind of camping allowed is primitive wilderness camping, so adventurous campers must remember to bring everything in (including their own water) and haul everything out. Pinecone Burke campers should also prepare for winter conditions without the use of campfires, which are prohibited. The park features marine access for boat-in-boat-out camping, hunting, and fishing with appropriate licenses.

Minnekhada Regional Park

Adjacent to Pitt-Addington marsh, Minnekhada Regional Park is a popular destination for trail hikers, birders, and wildlife viewing enthusiasts throughout the year. Campers enjoy cycling on paved roads and across Pitt River dykes. Tent campers, RVers, and glampers will find primitive campsites and modern ones with electrical hookups and water lines. Some even provide double and queen beds. Minnekhada is pet-friendly, so long as the pups are leashed and campers bring pet waste bags.

Colony Farm Regional Park

Camping near Colony Farm Regional Park gives quick access to fields, hedgerows, and wetlands to explore on foot or bike. Birding is a popular activity in the park, which hosts over 200 bird species. Take in the sights of wide open fields and towering mountains on the shores of the Coquitlam River, or ride a trusty steed through the marshes and cap the day with a picnic at the provided tables near the community gardens. Many nearby campgrounds offer waterside camping, accommodating RVers and tent campers alike with potable water, showerhouses, electrical hookups, and gravel or concrete pull-through pads. Campers with electric or hybrid vehicles in need of a charge can take advantage of the single charging station in the main parking lot, which is free to use with a two-hour time limit.

The best time to camp in Coquitlam is July or August, when average temperatures reach no higher than 23.5°C. Summer is the most popular time for visitors, so be sure to make a reservation in advance or get there early enough to snag a first-come, first-served site.
