The gravel driveway to the sites is passable with any vehicle As long as the vehicle Does not have an aftermarket lowered profile or entirely overloaded with gear. We offer camping ranging from primitive tent sites, to an actual cabin. Hikers, kayakers, canoes, Horses and riders welcome, located a couple miles from Daniel Boone National Forrest, seemingly endless trails through some of the most beautiful country. Bring your canoe and kayaks. Located 16 miles from Cumberland Falls State Park. Located 11 miles from Sheltowee Trade Adventure Park. Located 11 miles from Kentucky Splash Water Park. 11 miles from The Mint Casino!! Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

This lovely little spot sits at the end of the primitive campground area, is directly on the riverbank. It sits right next to the water access common (public) area. Its lovely tree canopy provides adequate shade and makes for a nice hammock spot. It offers a lovely view of the Cumberland River, sit and enjoy the lovely sounds and smells that mother nature has to offer. Clayton Geneva memorial campground is located directly on the KAT Kentucky Adventure Tour, just off of the copperhead trail in about 30 minutes from Sterns and the big south fork railroad. Just too many great things to list. The driveway runs behind the site which also serves as the trail to the public common water access area. Showers, flushing toilet, WiFi, vending machines, firewood, river tubes are all available on site. Do you take note that the site is the furthest from amenities as it is the last site. We are inviting you to enjoy a peaceful, primitive tent/vehicle camping experience at a lovely plot just above the sandy banks of the Cumberland River. Riverbank Overlook Site overlooks the riverbank and is not directly riverside. The river is in clear view only obstructed in staggering areas for privacy & and is approximately 100 ft away from the river bank. There are common areas directly on the riverbank for you to access the river. This site has 110 electric access, WiFi. Potable water available at the spigot near restroom. Offering a tree canopy covered, serene spot that allows for river swimming, fishing, enjoy a camp fire or just plain nothing but peace and quiet. Each site is equipt with a fire ring. The drive way to the primitive sites is a little bumpy lane that wraps around a mountain side that leads to the primitive sites. It is also one way. The drive to the site has an incline to the site. Due to the nature of the driveway it’s recommended to leave your vehicle on the topside of the property of your plan to be coming and going a lot. This is a primitive camp Hikers, Horses and riders welcome, located a couple miles from Daniel Boone National Forrest, seemingly endless trails through some of the most beautiful country. Treat yourself to an amazing getaway in this lovely little covered wagon venue, located directly along the banks of the Cumberland River. Enjoy a River view, take in the sounds of nature, birds, the flowing water. Wake up to an amazing sunrise. Accommodations would be tight for a third guest. Check in by 8 PM This cute wagon set up has a queen bed, table, bench seats, coffee pot, picnic table, fire ring, grill and a lovely deck to relax and watch the river flow. The driveway to this venue Although completely passable with most vehicles, as long as it’s not a lowered vehicle, is a gravel one lane/one driveway that wraps around the side of the hill leading you to the riverbank. There’s alternate parking on the top side of the property if you choose, but just know that the driveway to this primitive set up is a primitive path. Visit Cumberland falls, Mint Casino, Big South Fork railway, Daniel Boone National Forest, Corbin Arena and so much more… Please be sure to read/review listing thoroughly from start to finish, review all the details, review our cancellation policy and be sure that primitive Riverside camping is for you . You must cancel/reschedule seven days prior to your check-in to receive a refund. Beyond that no refund or rain check will be offered . Primitive Riverside camping is hit or miss in regards to weather and in the event of inclement weather you’re going to experience water, mud, wet, sand, elevated river levels, all of which to be expected while choosing to primitive camp Riverside and needs to be considered carefully.

Tent camping on Amber’s land was all around a great experience. The campsites were good sized and clean, flat and spaced out enough. Old stump, hammock haven, sycamore cove and rivers end we’re all right on the water, you can’t walk straight down from each campsite, but there were two access points on either end of the lower sides that are easy and seconds to get to. The first night the water on the river was quite high after very heavy rains, so the access points to the river or more slippery and hard to get in the river, but after that when the water went down some, they are big rocks to wade and swim around, and put chairs for fishing. The first two nights, I stayed at hammocks Haven, only planning on one night, but added another with the visit being so amazing, then added a third night and easily shifted campsites to old stump when a friend of mine came down with her two and four year-old boys. The campsites are perfect for families, couples or singles. The porta potties that are easily accessed from the lower campsite or cleaned to perfection and the flush toilet and shower. Closer to the upper sites were both also clean. Amber was welcoming and super helpful and responsive, she even came down and jumped my friend‘s car! We fed the donkeys and miniature horses which was fun and also ordered the Firewood bundles and it was tons of firewood for $15, can’t be beat. I will definitely be staying again and I’m hoping to put together a group of teacher friends to go!

Was an amazing place to just be with your loved one. Quiet and secluded from all the hussle and bussle of life. Highly recommend it if you ever just want to get away with your plus one or just some needed you time. But please don't be fooled thinking it's just for singles or couples. With a small air mattress placed under the raised Queen bed the youngsters now have their very own fort and resting place. It sits roughly 20 yards from the Cumberland River where we fished and swam then spent the evening relaxing under the trees by our small fire.. the host(s) Myke and Amber were amazing as well, they checked on us throughout our stay and offer a wide variety of services to make your stay even more comfortable. When the wife and i broke camp and slowly headed back to our busy lives simultaneously we said as we hit the black top.... Let's book this place again on our anniversary.......

What a great experience?!?! Amber was amazing, and the communication couldn't have been better. The site is plenty big enough for three tents, a table, and chairs around the fire pit. Awesome spot on the river and the water is shallow enough to walk across. We put kayaks in at Redbird boat ramp and floated the 2 miles back to the campsite.

This part of the woods was seriously gorgeous and special. Very secluded and absolutely beautiful at sunset. We enjoyed the rushing river sounds and the firefly’s. Super clean port-a-potties and shower house available.

We had an absolutely amazing weekend!! The Hammock Hanger spot is so pretty, shaded and the perfect place for a weekend camp. The bathrooms were well taken care of and clean and the other campers were respectful and quiet. Amber was so accommodating and kind, let us take a tour of her animals and feed them and we loved meeting her baby fuzzy cow!! Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you Amber for everything!

It was an adorable spot but we did expect the camp sites to be a bit more spaced out with how it was described. I do have to say it was very clean and well kept! Even the porta potty was decorated! So many fire flys too!

There was level ground for tent camping and a nice fire pit! There’s also a great gravel path to the river and a flushable toilet/shower with hot water! There’s also places to throw trash away, and the spot was very beautiful and clean.

We stayed with Amber June 1-8th, So peaceful place. Beautifully kept campground. Amber was a lovely host. We definitely will recommend this site. The only downside was the shower needs hot water.

Riverbank Overlook with Electric ⚡️
My granddaughters and I camped at Riverbank Overlook for three days… the campsites are well taken care of as are the restrooms. One of my girls slept all night in the hammock, we all took turns enjoying it during the day, it’s an absolute must have! Very relaxing, peaceful and quiet place to camp…oh, we all loved the animal encounters with the miniature horses, goats, and rabbits! Thank you so much Amber for providing such a safe fun place to camp! Thank you for sharing your family’s land with us! My girls and I will be back when the weather is cooler!

Riverbank Overlook with Electric ⚡️
Me and my buddies tent camped at the riverbank outlook, it was nothing short of amazing. Less busy and more lowkey than a state park, close to many fun things. Amber was a great host to us and made our stay better by always being on the case with firewood and being genuine. The place has such an amazing nature, after a long day of disc golfing and kayaking it was so nice just floating in the river. Give this place your money if your thinking about it, you can tell Amber loves seeing families and friends just enjoy and have fun together. ❤️

Amber had a great setup! She was kind and personally showed me around everywhere. Due to unforeseen reasons, my tent completely breaking in the rain, I did not get to stay the whole time. Amber was amazing and did not charge me for the kayaking that I had wanted to do. I would highly recommend visiting this location!
