The Sanctuary is a stunning Bush Retreat high up on the Darling Scarp with incredible views to the ocean . Surrounded on 3 sides by state forest , the land is a nature lovers delight teeming with birdlife and kangaroos. Relax at your campsite and feel the beauty of the land creating a wonderful sense of calm and peace, enjoy the glorious sunsets and in winter a campfire , wander through the forest , or cycle along the adjacent Munda Biddi trail. Your campsite will be private and well away from any others. Adjacent to Lake Brockman it provides easy access to those who might like to fish or waterski. LOCATION DOES NOT HAVE A STREET ADDRESS. YOU WILL RECEIVE A GOOGLE MAPS LINK TO THE PROPERTY. PLEASE ENSURE WE COMMUNICATE PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL THANKYOU.

A stunning vista awaits you at this campsite high up on the hills of the Darling Scarp with expansive views south to Lake Brockman and west to the horizon with the ocean glimmering in the distance on a fine day. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and brilliant night sky’s -perfect for keen star gazers! Here you are surrounded by nature -waking to the beauty of birdsong, watching the kangaroo, and feeling the peace and calm of the forest. This site is a large, flat gravel area suitable for motorhomes , large caravans and RV’s. It has good access into and out of the area and is our best site for friends travelling with 2 camper vans.

A very secluded site with stunning views to the western horizon and ocean Snugly nestled into the hillside surrounded by peppermint trees, it’s our most secluded and private campsite. Protected from the easterly wind by the peppermint trees. A flat sand/gravel site looking northwest through the valley and west to the rolling hills as far as you can see. The ocean is a glimmer in the distance. Enjoy being nestled in nature, waking up to and ending your day with beautiful birdsong.

Absolutely stunning views and sunsets. Great and level sites and easy to get into. Great communication and directions from Andrea. Some of the best view camp spots I have stayed and will definitely be back.

Had a lovely stay at the ocean view campsite, amazing views, enough trees and foliage for privacy without detracting from the beautiful sunsets and looking out over the hills and valleys. Easy access to the property with directions provided. Will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner rather than later 😁 Thank you ⭐️

Excellent site with great views, the communication from Andrea was excellent with clear directions. Central location with loads to see and do in the local community, I will bring the family back in the near future, thanks for a great stay, even though the weather was not great.

Absolutely stunning campsite! Secluded, sheltered and the views were absolutely gorgeous! Directions were clear and Andrea met us when we arrived and gave us a background of the property which was very interesting. The free firewood was a welcome and unexpected bonus. We will be back many times for sure!

Outstanding and for our first Hipcamps booking we have been spoilt. Thanks Andrea for your hospitality and perfect directions. Wood was under cover so it was dry while it rained. Will be back again and the view is nuts.

Wonderful stay over Easter long weekend. Close to Logue Brook, but far enough away the party noise was a distant hum. Large flat site, out of view of other sites. (Ground extremely hard for pegs at Ocean View however). Host Andrea wonderful and refunded our previous trip that we had to cancel at the last minute even though she was under no obligation to. Highly recommended.

Thanks Greg and Andrea for sharing that great spot at Peppermint Tree site and your property in general I highly recommend this site if you like privacy, stunning, and I mean stunning views out to the ocean Had 3 nights there it will be at least 5 next time and there will be a next time The hosts were awesome ( thanks Greg for the drill) communication and directions A+ - good sight for tent and campers - big caravans maybe not There are a few sites for camping however you’d think you were alone and very private and sheltered - this will be a regular spot for us in both winter and summer months - Plenty of firewood to collect no need to bring any - great bird life right next to the dam 15 minutes from Harvey - and those views ! This is a five star hip camp for those who go off grid, just look after it

Nothing specific for the host- it was just very dusty (fine powder dust) but is due to the dry time of the year. Site is very private and was great to be allowed a small camp fire - thank you

Peppermint Tree Campsite
Andrea and Greg were great hosts. It was very easy to communicate with them, they made sure we were set up and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The property was incredible, close to lake Brockman but far enough to have privacy and be able to enjoy our own space. The sunset and clear sky full of stars made our experience much more amazing!

Our two day visit to the Sanctuary Peppermint Tree site was wonderful. The views and sunsets were spectacular. The site was spacious and secluded with plenty of room for our 20 foot caravan. Andrea provided very clear directions which made finding the site easy. The proximity to Lake Brockman made it easy to go for a swim and cool down when the weather heated up. We can highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary.

We had a great stay at the Lake and Horizon view site, we had room for our 18ft van, no problem. This is beautiful property with beautiful rocky outcrops, kangaroos, stunning sunsets, if you are looking for a quiet secluded place to get away from it all, I would highly recommend. Our host Andrea was so helpful and the most hospitable person you could imagine, even had a visit from her Border Collie Rosie she is just a beautiful girl!! Safe to say we will be returning. Thanks Andrea

Great views , great for a nice walk through mother nature lots of room for privacy close to the lake, even the teens enjoyed themselves host our wonderful people great to get along with . Definitely caming back 😁

Very peaceful and private, we stayed in the top camp spot so had an awesome view. Loved hearing all the bird life, including the Black cockatoos!! The kangaroos were cute too.

The camp is very close to Lake Brockman/ Logue Brook Dam without being in the middle of the busy/ noisy areas. The views are amazing with glimpses of the ocean and dam as well as spectacular sunsets. Bothe Andrea & Greg were very accommodating and helpful during our stay.
