Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. Unplug from everyday life, escape and reconnect with friends and family in nature.

Site 1 is the closest to the river (50m) with grass currently developing. It’s also pet friendly. The river is swimmable and you’re able to fish in it as well. If you’re lucky, you can catch cobblers and red fin perch. During marron season, you might get lucky with that as well. When campers come to Murray Valley Camping, they’ll have a true back-to-nature experience. It’s peaceful and full of tracks and getaway spots. Whether you’re into hiking, swimming, animal watching or just reading a book by the river, we cater to every lifestyle.

Big pool 2 is an extension to the Big Pool. It’s right by the river, full of shade, adventure and relaxation. Take your kayak out on the river, go for a swim, a walk or just layout under a tree with a refreshing drink and your favourite book. The perfect spot to get away from the summer’s heat. It’s cool, calm and relaxing. Your fur friends/babies will love Big Pool 2 as well so don’t leave them behind.

Great camp nice area had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the area host was great and very welcoming only issue was the flies but guess you get that around that time of the year water was nice and had a enjoyable stay would be coming back

Kimberly and Michael are great hosts. Everything was communicated well and firewood and eggs were delivered as expected. Rubbish bins and camp fire spot provided. Beautiful spot. Peaceful, no internet, no humans. Completely isolated and offgrid. Plenty on water in the river for a swim. Easy access for a small/medium van up to approx 19 foot. Conveyor belt in the distance was no issue. A peaceful get away. Doing it again.

Very comfortable site, short walk to river. Nice shelter provided and on site rubbish bins. Site was flat, felt very private and a good size. Instructions to find camp and site were very clear. Sound of conveyor was not annoying (at least for us).

Loved this site. Completely isolated from other campers. Private, peaceful and picturesque. Nice little walk along the water in the bushland. The ground is VERY hard, was only able to get the tent set up a little in front of the bins, no biggie. Would be worthwhile bringing some heavy duty pegs, had a few casualties. The conveyer wasn’t constantly running but when it was it was subtle and actually nice to drift off to sleep to. Flies were friendly and there are bull/meat ants roaming around, bring some Bushman’s. Pay for the firewood add on or bring your own. There is some to collect around camp but it’s mostly small branches and bark. Our host come by to welcome us a little after check in, very friendly 😊 Will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Excellent private camping spot for small a camper van. The site has gravel which can be slippery so you need to take care while walking. The river views are excellent and will visit again.

We had an excellent experience camping at Murray Valleys Campground. We stayed at site 2, which proved to be an ideal location for our tent camping needs. The facilities were well-maintained, including a convenient portable toilet on-site. The campground’s proximity to the river was a major highlight, and we particularly appreciated the kayaks provided by the hosts for guest use. The fire pit at our site allowed us to enjoy campfire evenings during our stay. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, which greatly enhanced our overall experience. Their hospitality and the quality of the campground have inspired us to plan a return visit. We highly recommend Murray Valleys Campground to anyone seeking a well-equipped and scenic camping destination.

Great site! Completely private, you have your own track to your site so there's no overlap with the other sites at all. The ground is a bit hard in places but there's a nice soft spot near the provided bins. The owners were super nice as well, dropped by around check in time and offered extra firewood and checked if we needed anything. I will 100% be back 😃

Great spot at Rapids Corner. Site large enough for multiple set ups. We had 3 vans - 2 down the bottom and one up the top. The river / stream is great for kids & dogs, they all had a ball. The hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Access was fine (19ft and 22ft vans) the exit is a decent hill with a few turns - we got inbb no and out with no issues. Best part is it’s true bush camping and no others to be seen. Be sure to read / watch hosts videos that are sent for directions as it makes sites straight forward to find.

A memorable camp

Big pool
What an eventful camp..... We had to move from the first 2 camping spots due to them still being too wet and with very soft ground. The third was a currently unnamed site but was a perfect spot for the 3 generations of campers (2 separate families totaling 12 people). Plenty of room for the under 4s to run and use up their energy and peaceful enough for the older ones to enjoy some time chatting by the fire. We couldn't see any other campsites and only saw a couple of others when they were out walking. While we did not get to camp at Big Pool, the area looks spectacular and we will certainly be back to enjoy a long weekend camping by the water. A big thank you to Michael and Kimberlee for assisting in extracting us (can't elaborate as "What happens at Big Pool, stays at Big Pool!! But hopefully the tractor has made it home by now!!) and getting us to a dry camping area to enjoy the weekend. Michael and Kimberlee have setup a wonderful camping area on their property and certainly look after their guests.

Great spot! Water flowing, shade, bins supplied for rubbish. Highly recommend. Was a little tricky getting our 22-foot van out, but well worth it!! Will be going back again next year!

Great little spot, third time we have been and it never disappoints, relaxed after doing a long hike (roughly 8kms) with the dog each morning. Water was flowing more that it has on the last 2 visits. Highly recommend this spot

Murray Valley Camping – Rapid Corner What an amazing spot right on the water! This large site gave us plenty of room, and we chose to set up close to the river, which was in flood at the time. Michael and Kimberlee kindly dropped by to deliver the wood and fresh eggs we had pre-ordered — highly recommend ordering both! Once they left, we didn’t see another soul for the rest of the weekend. Just fresh air, peace, and quiet. Our fur kids had an absolute blast splashing in the river (and rolling in the mud!). We would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, private getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at the Murray Valley Campground. Combines a sense of isolation with the comfort of a locked access gate. As in other reviews there is the drone of the bauxite conveyer in the background but it doesn't take long to not notice it. Camp hosts are very pleasant and obliging. Will be back.
