Located halfway between Brookton and Pingelly, this family-run regenerative farm, is situated along an offshoot of the Avon river. With 30 years of re-planting native trees, it is abundant in wildlife and natural flora and fauna. The campsites are spread out on a wide-open grassed area, with options tucked in amongst the trees also. There is plenty of space. Campers are welcome to explore along the river and throughout the treed areas. All campers must be completely self-contained and take all waste with them. There are however bins for rubbish provided. Firewood can also be purchased during the time of year fires are permitted (can be booked in Extras at time of booking). This is a running farm so all gates must be shut, and no pets allowed. The property is only 18km from Boyagin Rock Nature Reserve, great area for exploring, and 7km from Brookton for shops and essentials. We had a great time staying at McCabe farms! The kids had a ball splashing in the river and seeing the farm animals and we enjoyed bushwalks and the local country pubs. We'll be back!

I stayed here recently with my kids and we had such a great experience. The location is perfect for relaxing but still offers plenty to do. There are beautiful walking trails nearby, safe areas for the kids to explore, and lots of space to just unwind. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, with respectful campers all around, and it never felt overcrowded. I’d definitely recommend this spot to families or anyone looking for a simple, peaceful camping trip!

We had a great stay at McCabe farm and will definitely go back. Our kids loved riding their bikes around and the highlight for them was exploring the river area. Boyagin Rock is super close and a fab hike for our kids. There was such an abundance of wildflowers when we visited that it was if it had been landscaped. We also visited the Bedford Arms in Brookton and the Exchange in Pingelly. The farm tour wasn't available when we went unfortunately, as it was a busy time for the farm.

The camp was as described and campers very well spread out. Loved waking up to see the cows and sheep. Close enough to Brookton to go to dump point at caravan park. Some lovely country drives were done for day trips.

Great Hip camp. Plenty of flat open spaces which would still seen private during busier periods! We tucked up against the trees and watched the sun rise and set! Cheers.

Spacious and peaceful

We had a lovely time here. We extended our stay to enjoy the sunny weather. We bought a load of wood from the self serve shed near the gate and there was masses of dry kindling underneath the gum trees so we enjoyed a roaring campfire in the chilly evenings. Lachlan was easy to contact when needed. Thank you Lachlan and Tiahn.

Fairly flat camp sites

Sign posted so finding place not a problem. Large open areas fairly flat making set up easy. Lachlan brought over the wood ordered not long after we arrived and when we wanted more it was no hassle. Giant haystack was climbed by all adults and children, view was worth it. Lamb sold at the house was fresh and extremely tasty. Already planning another trip. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great farm stay. Absolutely recommend the farm tour on Sunday, kids loved it. Nice big open space to setup and hard ground for the kids to ride their bikes. Lachlan's lamb was great too - so fresh. The Brookton pub was great for a meal and drinks (best parmis I've had). Will be back.

Another great visit to McCabe farm. The land is an open flat paddock with plenty of room for the campers and kids to play. It was great to do the farm tour with the kids, they had a brilliant time milking Molly the Jersey cow and feeding the baby goats. Lachlan and Tiahn are great hosts who are always happy to help. We made sure to grab some lamb roasts from Lachlan on the way out!

Perfect off grid camping to unwind from everyday life and connect with nature, whilst also being close to two towns if needed. It wasn't busy during our stay and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The farm tour was the highlight for our children, they loved milking the cows and goats.

Lots of room and space to set up … Lachlan was very helpful and brought us the firewood we preordered Prob needs some better signage to tell ya where to setup but other than that lots of small deadwood around you can use too

Great little find, Lochy was an amazing host, great communication, and quick responses to texts. Plenty space between campers, although no designated sites as such, however Lochy opened up a second paddock over the long weekend to ensure that everyone could spread out nicely. Nice views of the trees and surrounding paddocks, appreciated being able to light a fire as the cool nights have set in, and plenty firewood available. So peaceful and quiet, and the stars were unreal! The farm tour was awesome, great for kids, really informative and interactive, lots of fun learning about a busy working farm and getting to meet all the animals - feeding baby miniature goats was a highlight! Great location close to Pingelly and Brookton for supplies or a drink at the local pubs, and we had a nice little walk up Boyagin Rock one of the days. Will be a perfect winter spot once the river is flowing, for exploring all around. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome stay over the Easter break. Farm tour was lots of fun. The lamb we bought was delicious and a great price. Lots of room for all the campers to spread out. Lachlan is a great host, highly recommended.

Very Peaceful and relaxing Easter break Lachlan the host was very easy going The wife milked a goat on the farm tour highly recommend especially if you have kids Lachlan's dogs Angel & Dog are 2 of the most lovely natured Animals gets a 5 star rating from us. Well done Lachy we will be back.

We had a great time at McCabe Farm. Selected a perfect spot out of many sites available. Lachlan was very helpful bringing in firepit and firewood. We will definitely go back again!

We needed a spot close to Perth for a quick overnighter to get a break. Found this and it looked ideal. Quick and easy to book. The camping area was easy to find, was so flat didn't even need to level the Van. Despite there being a few other campers, it was big enough that you had you own private space. We didn't make use of the Farm Tour but did see them come and pick other campers up. Will be going back again for sure.
