Herron Point Farm Stay

We stayed on lakeside camp 3. It is exactly as in the photo. We sat there with drinks both mornings to listen to the life on the lake. So many birds and a pair of Whistling kites living in one of the trees. Paul was a very friendly host. There are about a dozen free range chooks wandering about and they generally just hung out with us. We also wandered down to the wetland area to spot more birdlife. Was a lovely peaceful stay. The camp site is flat and large with a firepit provided during camp fire season. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely, quiet paddock with the biggest firepit I have ever seen!! Looking straight out over the fire onto the dam. Gorgeous! Woke up to some lovely Emu walking around our swag.

Peace and acres of space.

This is the property if you want peace and space. With no other camps in sight and acres of beautiful wetlands with an abundance of birdlife, it offered a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The stillness, the open skies, and the feeling of having the whole place to ourselves, accompanied by a massive fire pit, made it incredibly relaxing. A perfect spot for anyone seeking an escape.

Peaceful getaway

A peaceful getaway, lots of birds, some making nests in the hollows of dead trees which was great to watch. His alpacas, sheep and emu are a joy to see. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Herron Farmstay, last time was at his old location. Paul is working hard to make subtle changes to his new campground for the benefit of all, but keeping it as natural as possible for campers to enjoy. His directions were spot on & he was super helpful when we got in a spot of bother with the caravan on site.

Really enjoyed the 2 days at Heron Point Farm stay, it's very quiet and the lake is lovely with the sun setting over it. Paul is a great host, and very obliging when our travelling companions got bogged and recovered them with the tractor (twice).

Thanks Paul for the enjoyable stay. Nice and central between the hills and coast. Parts of the property are still being developed and improved which is great and its a peaceful spot to camp.

We've found our new Go To Place

Our campsite near the lake was superb. It provided a lovely view, privacy and a chorus of sounds during the night and early morning. Surrounding us was open farmland, with another camper of in the distance, with their own fantastic view of the expansive farmland. A small part of the rack was a wee bit challenging and fun, after a recent downpour of heavy rain, but Paul is well advanced in his plans to negate any issues accessing the property. In fact, we spent some time chatting with Paul one morning and you can't help but be excited by the plans he has in place. And more about the environment and improving what's there, as opposed to more camping sites. It's no small job, but the passion he shares in infectious. In the distance are herds of cattle, an emu, some lamas, chickens and lots of birdlife, and swans and ducks on the lake. Mobile reception for both Optus and Telstra wasn't an issue. Flat and level land is nice to set-up on and you need to be fully self sufficient. A nice 30-40 minute drive to Lake Clifton, Mandurah, Pinjarra etc, made it an ideal base. But you could quite easy, not move at all, and just enjoy the peace and quiet without a bother. A campfire with plenty of wood was a bonus. We were so impressed, we booked for another trip in a few weeks time

Our group had a great weekend at the Waggoners camp 1. Paul was a great host, allowing me to add people along the way, along with recommending we swap sites to accommodate a larger group. The site was flat, clean and quiet. We also made great use of the supplied fire pits! We will be back.

We spent 3 nights at the wetlands site. It was awesome, very peaceful and a treat to have nature on your doorstep. Lots of life on the water and in the air. Paul was an amazing host. I can highly recommend.

A peaceful campsite surrounded by nature. Ideal for those wanting to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. Large sites, well spaced for privacy. As with most hips, there are no facilities, so it’s best suited for self-sufficient campers. The quiet atmosphere and natural setting make it a perfect escape for those seeking a quiet retreat. Great communication with the host Paul. Would stay again.

The Gums (Camp 3)

A nice quick get away so close to home. The property was well maintained and delightful. The other camps are close and visible but we didn’t feel closed in and all the kids got together and had a blast jumping between camps.

Great caping spots tucked away amongst the trees. Tricky to find if you do miss a turn like we did and enter the wrong gate. Paul was very helpful and accomodating though. Will be back! Cheers!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at this farm stay. It was peaceful and quiet, the perfect spot to relax. There was a little dam where our dog could swim, which he absolutely loved, and nearby wetlands where we could sit and watch the swans. A lovely, relaxing place to park our caravan and unwind – we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely place to relax

We stayed in Alpacas 5 for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. Campsite was clean and tidy, had shade and sunny parts. Was flat and easy to park our van. We enjoyed the firepit, we did bring our own wood but there was plenty of wood available. Whilst there was 54 acres the campsites are within 200m of each other but that wasn’t a problem for us. The alpacas and the one sheep were quite inquisitive and watching them was a nice part of the stay. They also would walk through our site, which was cool. Communication from owner beforehand was clear and we knew where to go easily once we got there. A lovely place to go and chill and relax. Although it says you are free to walk around the property we were a little confused at where the property ended and where the neighbours properties started and we obviously didn’t want to trespass, that would be our only negative as we love to bush walk.
