Great spot to camp. Can comfortable fit 1-2 cars, and at least 2 tents. Close to a road, but surrounding trees give a degree of privacy. Bathroom is very clean, well maintained composting toilet.

Lovely spot, suitably secluded but also super easy drive to St Helen’s.
Overall it was a great experience. The downsides were the neighbors dog barking and howling at all times of the night and day. We came for the donkey and other farm noises but won't be coming back for the dog howling at 3 in the morning.
Otherwise the camp is pretty private and peaceful. Short drive to the river nearby. Good location for peaceful camping with no campsite neighbors(when the dog is quiet).

What a great little spot! We were so happy with the space - a small, flat, clear grove great for tents and hammocks, a (very clean) outhouse with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and a great location that felt "in the woods" yet close to the gas station for anything we might need. We saw beautiful stars and some very friendly deer and laughed every time we heard donkeys braying (concerning for the half second before you realize what the sound is!)
Instructions made the driveway easy to find. Also great placement for our hiking on the north side of Mt St Helens.

We loved staying at Edelgran! It felt very private, had everything we needed, and was very kid friendly. We enjoyed walking on the path around the property, the composting toilet worked great, and the campsite is spacious and well maintained. It’s in a great location for exploring Mt. Saint Helens attractions. A little noise from the neighbors, but it didn’t bother us. Definitely would stay here again if we come back to this area!

Great camping spot that’s offers privacy without being too secluded. If you like having a campfire purchasing the wood bundle through them is so convenient, and a great deal compared to what you would grab from the store. Absolutely would come back.

The perfect spot for a weekend getaway with the fam to explore trails around Mount St. Helens. Site is well maintained and although there are homes nearby, it feels very secluded. Would stay here again!

We liked this spot a lot. It’s super private and the bathroom was honestly one of the cleanest we’ve had at a campsite.
A couple things to be aware of: there’s a huge ant hill on the property (around 2–3 feet tall), so just watch where you set up. We also had a large off leash dog wander into our site at one point, which wasn’t great since our Great Pyrenees is dog reactive. Not the host’s fault, but something other dog owners might want to know.
And just a heads‑up; the donkey across the road is pretty vocal. You’ll hear it throughout the day and later into the night/early morning.
Overall, it’s a solid, private place to stay with really clean amenities; just a few quirks depending on your setup.

We had a great time camping here for the long weekend. The instruction were easy to follow and the space was well prepared. It was a very peaceful time and I will be planning to book again.
My partner and I had an amazing time tent camping at this beautiful little spot. While it's close to the road, there's not much traffic and it still feels very private. We could only hear the neighbors on a couple quick occasions, and otherwise it very much felt like being alone in nature. The site is well appointed with the handmade picnic table, outhouse and multifunctional stumps. Jonathan's instructions and communication were excellent and very helpful. Would absolutely love to get away here again.
Great camping spot for our group of (3) adults but could see this as an ideal spot for a couple. You’re close enough to civilization in case of an emergency but far enough to feel private aside from the occasional distant dog bark or donkey bray. Having a picturesque walking trail built-in was fantastic and offered a good opportunity to exercise and soak in some afternoon sun to warm during a very cold weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Edelgran!! Super easy to find even in the dark! The layout of the campsite is beautiful! We fit our car and 6 person tent there with ample space. There was a fire ban while we were there so we did not get to use the fire pit, but it looked very nice and the seating was nice to have! We used the large tree stumps as tables to play games on. The toilet was very well constructed and so much better than most camp toilet we have previously experienced. We enjoyed the walking path with our dog and loved looking at all the plants and trees on the path around the campsite. The stars were beautiful on a clear night! We loved seeing and hearing the animals who live nearby. Like in other reviews we heard sounds from the fairgrounds but it was never loud enough to bother us. Our stay here was wonderful and we highly recommend this Hipcamp!!

Edelgran Forest camp has to have been in my top ten most peaceful and beautiful sites I've ever been! Site is incredibly well maintained and having the sites story posted makes each little bit feel even more special from the handmade table even to the handmade out house (which by the way is one of the cleanest out houses I've experienced). The host wasn't kidding either about wildlife being in every corner, on their maintained trail we saw all sorts of birds and chipmunks and in the morning tons and tons of deer it was truly special! Site was easy to get to thanks to Johnathan instructions and I would 100% recommend this site to anyone and already can't wait to make our next trip to edelgran!
Jonathan was a very responsive and helpful host. The camp felt very private, despite being pretty close to the road. The outhouse was very clean and smelled of cedar. Great location for the underutilized South side of Mt. St. Helens. However, the camp was not quiet. Donkeys, roosters, neighbors chatting until 10:45pm, and the announcer for local roping competition starting at 8am disturbed sense of privacy. Overall a great location, and we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t recommend if you want quiet.
Me and my girlfriend had a lovely time here, A small driveway up to the sight with a nice clearing, along with a little walking trail around the property.
We camped in what ended up being the middle of a heat wave but the trees kept it much cooler than expected! Plus there are plenty of mountain roads and sights nearby if you're up for a nice drive. Lovely fire pit area and great outhouse set up, greatful we got to stay here! Thank you very much!

Great spot! Plenty of space for our 2 tents. Trail was fantastic and we walked it often, saw 2 deer one morning! Would definitely recommend staying here.
I really loved this site. It's just off the road so it's great for folks with mobility issues/health issues who want to get away but can't hike far.
You can pull right into the lovely, private, space & set your camp up without lugging anything.
There is a nice picnic table, fire pit, log seats and an actual old-timey wood outhouse (a one seater) that is clean & low odor due to the wood they used.
There is also a little trail that leads to a really long (miles) trail. My Frenchie & I could only manage a little ways but it's lovely!
It was easy to find, clear directions, very clean & well laid out.
2 things of note tho - 1.bring your bug spray (mosquitoes) 2. The Cowlitz gun range is close enough you can hear it echo thru the little valley. It didn't bother me or my pup but I have friends who would be very bothered (vets, specifically). Otherwise, I 💯 recommend this site.
The site is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It is very quiet and extremely private. So much better than a public campground. The outhouse is adorable and it was nice to have a place ‘to go’. The host Jonathan is very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the several very large piles of dog poop around the perimeter. (Possibly from a previous guest.) They were hard to pick up because they were in spiny bushes and vines and the flies around the piles were horrendous.
Other than that, this might be the best place I’ve ever pitched a tent. 🏕️
The hosts were super communicative, provided clear instruction and answered our questions promptly! We loved the campsite, it's very private and well maintained. The campsite is about 30 minutes to Mt. St. Helens learning center and Coldwater Lake! Highly recommend everyone to visit if they're in the area! The lake has shallow part that is kids friendly. The water is clear and refreshing. Many were kayaking/paddling there. We had one of the best camping trips over the weekend!
Note: You MUST bring bug spray. Wear long sleeves and pants if you can, the mosquitoes here is no joke. We learned the hard way.
The campsite is spacious and super private. We setup 3 tents with room for 2 SUVs and still had plenty of room for Frisbee games and the picnic table/fire ring area.
The outhouse was very clean, though a bit of a squeeze for larger bodies and taller folx.
We saw deer, horses, a donkey, birds, and rabbits. The little store at Toutle Rd was amazing, too. So many fresh fruits/veggies.
Great campsite. Perfect for a retreat with a small group (we had 5 and a dog).

Really awesome site! My dog and I had a really peaceful few days out here. Wind through the trees, rain on the tent, perfectly clean outhouse. The firepit and log seats are awesome. Cute little short trail attached to the site. Would absolutely love to stay here again!
That outhouse may just be the nicest outhouse I've ever been in lol. The camp was easy to find and so quiet. We watched the stars and had a romantic couple of nights without kids. It was a good time, a good price, and a great site.
Look for the metal cable gating the entrance between the two addresses mentioned in the directions. The ground at the tent site is mostly soft moss . Plenty of space for tenting. Bring waders in case the trails puddle up. Peaceful site in the rain. Outhouse 5 ⭐️ If you need essentials there is a gas station up the road called R & D Liquor Store.

Had an amazing time on Jonathan’s land. Nice and quiet area with a beautiful trail connected. Very clean outhouse and plenty of firewood for the campsite. Hope to visit again!
