Our property is located right in the middle of the beautiful Bass Coast and allows easy access to all the stunning beaches, walks and wildlife that this part of the coast has to offer. We are 2 minutes from the Bass River which has calm water and is great spot for kayaking and swimming. If you are looking for a beach then Kilcunda & San Remo are only a 10 minutes drive away. We are also close to Maru koala & animal park and the famous Penguin Parade. San Remo has a number of café and restaurant options and the Bass coast has a number of beautiful walking and bike riding trails all within easy reach.  Five years ago we set out to find acreage because we were relocating a spectacular house. The property had to suit our future Home. We always loved the Bass Coast, many treasured childhood memories of Phillip Island and surrounds. So we found this lovely property by a miracle and decided to move to Bass - 5 years later here we are.  This area is rich in Australian history, beautiful beaches, undulating hills, wildlife, the list goes on. A great lifestyle for the whole family. We are literally a living proof, with 3 generations living under one roof. We would love to share this experience with others.  Our large, grassy sites are the perfect place to set up camp after a day of exploring and to enjoy the ambiance and the serenity of the starlit sky. You might be lucky enough to spot a shooting star. Seasonal farm fresh produce can be made available. Try some of our delicious Free Range Eggs, Pure Aussie Honey, and our local Dairy produce. If you'd like us to Pre order a BBQ pack from our local butchers, just give us 24 hours notice. Other essentials are available at our store. Due to restrictions in the area, we are unfortunately unable to allow fires at this time. Anything else we haven't covered, just ask your hosts Desmond & Barbara.

      60 dolars for a space with no toilet no anything is too much... Just a plain space next to the route with a lot of noise. You should put the price down.

      Grassy site is close to the highway. however noise inside the campervan is not too loud. Seems pretty expensive for an unpowered site without any toilets or showers. For a simple overnighter it is fine.

      Everything was good, the space is comfortable, Desmond was friendly. The only issue was that it doesn't have bathroom, otherwise there are a petrol station 2 min away.

      We really enjoyed camping on Des and Barbara’s land, they were very accommodating and direction were very easy to follow. The farm was so clean and tidy with beautiful green grass under foot. Like a carpet! A good central location to explore the area with Philip Island close by.

      Perfect central location to see Phillip Island and Bass Coast. Easy access, lovely people to deal with. Nice grass and plenty of room for a family of 6 with a van and a dog.

      Was the only available camp spot in the area so had no choice as we were planning on riding the Bass Rail Trail. Camp site is between the highway and the house and there is traffic noise 24 hours of the day. There are other areas on the property that would be more suitable as campsites. Hosts were very friendly and hospitable - site was grassy.

      The location was great, we visited Philip Island and the host was happy enough that we were turning up late, and was very welcoming. The camp was well maintained and with good cooking facilities. Enjoyed my stay 👌🏼

      I'll be honest and fair with my review. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful; the site was well-grassed and pleasant. However, the location alongside the highway was pretty noisy, but the traffic faded at night, so we could sleep. The location was good, though, as it’s close to many beaches and not far from Phillip Island. There is no toilet and it is the main problem of the tent sites. The nearest toilet is in 2 minutes by car at the service station, but you wouldn't go there at night that's why campers should find "the cosy bush" to pee. It's not comfortable when you are travelling with children. My proposal to the hosts is to make the toilet somewhere for people in tents. There is a huge house for rent near the tent sites and an area for the toilet plus all the infrastructure for that. Anyway, because of these disadvantages, the place is not popular, so we could rent the tent site urgently.

      The camp site was very noisy as it’s located right next to Bass Highway. Did not get any sleep. The camp ground itself was great. Location was also good as it’s close to many beaches.

      Host Des was very welcoming and helpful, the site was well grassed and pleasant. Unfortunately the location alongside the highway was pretty noisy, which spoiled the experience a bit.

      Lobed the room to move. We were lucky enough to camp in yhe back paddock, the kids could run on the nice grass. We were there Easter weekend and it was wet and windy. The ground held out well with all the rain we had. Barb and Des were lovely host. But has others mentioned the road noise from the Bass Highway is loud. So be prepared for that.

      Very close to Phillip Island so great location. There is a lovely BBQ area with a full sized BBQ for campers to use. Lawns are immaculate, ideal for rent campers (like us). Hosts were so accomodating and extremely welcoming. Whilst there are no toilet facilities, public toilets are 2 minutes down the road so we had no issues.

      Awesome place heaps to do in the area. You might be beside the Bass Fwy but we were lucky to meet a great bunch of people. Barb and Des were helpful , kind and accomdating.

      Best. HipCamp. Ever. :) at least for me so far. The hosts were truly wonderful people, and the weekend I was there (Australia Day Weekend), there was a very enjoyable group of other campers. We all enjoyed each other, and the hosts enjoyed the group as well, across several days. As for the setting, it was a very well maintained property, with lush grass to camp on (shoes off); no mossies or flies, and plenty of space for all the campers at each of the sites on the property. I would definitely stay there again (even if I was just solo and the hosts were not around).
