Falls Cottage is a well-equipped, picture-perfect story-book cottage surrounded by pretty-as-a-picture cottage gardens. It is located only a ten-minute walk from the town center of Marysville and en route to the beautiful Stephensons Falls. The cottage offers a cozy log fire in winter, two living areas, and a large under cover back deck with a barbecue to watch the stunning sunsets on summer nights. Falls Cottage abuts a state forest and is central to a host of bush walks, waterways, and stunning scenery. **Spring special - book two nights and get the third night half price. Book three nights and get the fourth night free** A delightful, fully equipped fairy tale cottage offering up to a maximum occupancy of four. Here you will find everything you need to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break away from the hurly-burly of city life. With a practical and liveable layout with options to either share space or spend some 'alone time', Falls Cottage offers two living areas and two levels, as well as the picturesque wraparound verandah and pretty cottage gardens with an abundance of visiting birdlife to brighten your day. Suitable for two adult couples or a small family of four. Please note bedding arrangement is one queen and one double bed. Amazing bush walks start almost at your back doorstep and there are tracks to suit both novice and more seasoned walkers. Stephensons Falls is a mere 45-minute walk away (5-minute drive) and the beating heart of the town center is also a 10-minute walk away, offering shops, cafes, and restaurants. An amazing base from which to explore or sit on the large back deck and watch the sunset, hopefully with one of the spectacular sunsets the area is famous for! Should you wish to extend your stay and add on an extra night, please ask about our special offer for an additional night's stay at a heavily discounted price. This is proving extremely popular with our guests once they are settled and enjoying the peaceful surrounds of the area. Additionally, Falls Cottage manager Debra also runs a wine tour business, visiting both local destinations as well as the Yarra Valley. Guests at Falls Cottage who wish to book a wine tour will receive a 10% discount on the price of their trip. Please contact Debra on the number listed on the Air BNB phone number or visit the Bespoke Driven Tours site for package details. Guests have complete access to the property except for the garage which is locked. There is a carport at the front of the property however for our guests to use. There is a shortage of wood supplies in the area due to the permanent closure of Victoria forestry operations. With this, our firewood delivery is not expected until the middle of May. In the interim, only a limited amount of firewood will be provided along with firelighters and kindling. You are most welcome to bring your own firewood to burn but this must only be dry hardwood (NOT PINE AS THIS AFFECTS THE FLUE AND WILL CAUSE A FLUE FIRE DUE TO RESIDUE DEPOSITS UP THE CHIMNEY). Paper and cardboard are also not appropriate to burn in a wood fire. The local Marysville supermarket sells bags of firewood for approximately $22 per bag if you need to purchase more than what is supplied. We also ask that you DO NOT empty any ashes from the firebox. These are needed to ensure a warm, efficient fire. We thank you for respecting our house rules and hope you have a wonderful stay.
