Jake is a lovely host with lots of helpful recs for things to see and do in the area. The land is a nice location for fun day trips in the area.

Overall we had a nice experience, however Jake was unfortunately unresponsive to my messages (I had asked for advice on where to put our tent, as the field is on quite a slant). Luckily the neighbours were super helpful! The grass was quite long across most of the field.

I loved camping here. It was quiet, beautiful and easy to get to. Jake was helpful with directions and instructions as well as giving advice on where to go to in the area.

James property is absolutely beautiful!
We were driving the great ocean road and it was one of my favorite drop offs.
In addition he had great communication. Getting onto the property was easy and he was very accommodating and sweet.
I would definitely come back!

Thanks Jake it was a lovely quiet space to stay. Only downside is lack of flat ground but Jake is very accommodating to make sure you find the right spot for you.

Nice secluded spot with a lovely view! Was especially nice in the morning. Host was really welcoming and gave us some good local tips too! Will definitely be back.

It was just a field, not very flat and no amenities. Jake was helpful on the phone but we didn't meet him in person.

Whilst it was a little confusing knowing exactly where the camping spots were at first, we found a lovely shaded spot underneath a couple of lovely eucalypts. Jake is a very obliging and enthusiastic host and emphasises that the block is a farm block. I suppose when I see “Otways” in the name, I mistakenly assume the block is more of a Forrest than an open paddock. Whilst the rd was quiet, it felt a little close for our liking… but overall, it is great for a handy stopover in an area that is hard to find caravan spots.

We loved staying at Jakes property, we came past a little later than expected and were pleasantly greeted by Jake by chance next door! The property was so lovely and quiet with enough space for a few campers and shared with some sheep wandering the field. The views and sunset were beautiful and it was a very peaceful and pleasant stay. Jake also suggested some places for us to visit the next day and his suggestions really made our trip. Would highly recommend this camp spot - big thank you again Jake!

The spot was nice and quiet, very peaceful thanks to the low numbers of groups allowed. A great view of the hills in the morning too and all a convenient distance away from Colac without any difficult roads to get to.

Had a relaxing stay in my little tent. I was in camp spot 2 which was fine for my little 2wd to access and flat enough for my tent. Jake was a great host with quick and easy communication. He wasn’t on the property but gave me all the info I needed and answered any questions when ever I needed.
The location is quite basic, it’s a field, but has nice views and good vibes.
It’s Also close to the beachy rail bike track which Jake suggested as one of the things to do close by as I brought my bike along ( I recommend driving to the start of it due to the hills, even though it’s quite close by )

Jake’s camping site was in a beautiful setting up on the hill, overlooking farmland. The location is handy being in-between Colac and Forrest and is easily accessible no need for a four wheel drive. There are three well spaced, private camping spots, located in one paddock. The owner was very prompt and helpful. We’d definitely return!

Great location. The stars from here are amazing. Also hot tip, if you don't have your own toilet, Colac cemetery has an excellent public loo.

The site is what HIPCAMP is all about. Site was easy to find, just of the quite road enough. Jake was very easy to communicate with. Site is sloping so Caravans will need at least 150mm ramps to level van. 3 locations to choose from ( in best order) 1. near old house on left hand side 2. Top right of block under trees near road ( best summer spot) 3 Bottom of block near waterhole. Idea spot for a overnight stay or a couple of nights.

Scenic, humble, easy drive, so many amazing nature and farm sounds in the morning. Would stay again. Id recommend setting up near the trees, opposite side of the neigbours house.
