Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Cobbah-downs. The views were amazing and property is so peaceful. It did rain on the Saturday morning despite the weather report and having the Stockmans Bar for some extra shelter was a definite bonus, as well as a flushing toilet, especially since we choose to take our camper trailer. Waking up to the cows checking us out was super cute. We optioned to have the bath and firewood. We kept our fire going for our entire stay (even lit the one inside the bar incase the rain returned) and the experience of sitting in the bath and looking out across the property was priceless ( please make sure you follow Steven's directions re: bath). I really enjoyed my birthday weekend here and look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Our family & dog had a wonderful time at Cobbah-Downs with so much space to spread out, run around with the bonus of it being all to ourselves.
We really felt like we were looked after by Steve who a cheery happy host who is more than accommodating, checking in that we are all settled and needed anything.
We sat at the 'Stockmans Bar' over looking the fire pit while the kids cooked marshmallows.
It was hot while we were there so we went off and explored a couple of rivers near by which really made us feel like we were in the middle of the bush.
We woke up on the last day to a field of cows and a friendly goat who wanted to join us for breakfast.
Cant wait to book our next trip back.

Awesome rustic hut with decking and seat area to take in views across towards the Mitchell River National Park. Steve was quick to provide info about the location and recommendations for things to do in the area and everything we needed to know to access and be comfortable at the camp. Nice large flat area provides plenty of room for camping and the fireplace, provided firewood and toilet are great facilities. Will definitely be planning another trip back to Cobbah Downs.

Absolutely fantastic spot! Kids loved having the cows come up and wander through the camp. Steven was a great host and made sure to come up and greet everyone and make sure everyone was settled in.

It was a wonderful experience staying at Coobah Downs. Plenty of level ground with views of the rangers, very quiet and having the flushing toilet, stockmans bar and firewood available was simply amazing. Would highly recommend to all the grey nomads out there.

Steven's campsite has everything you could possibly want (and more!) when camping. A flushing toilet, the "stockyard bar" to shelter in when the weather turns (complete with an indoor fireplace!) and a wood fired outdoor bath. We loved our stay - Steven was a wonderful host, helpful and responsive when we had questions. We even had a visit from some friendly cows and a billy goat during our stay.
We loved our stay so much, we're already thinking about when we can return again! Thank you for having us!

Such a beautiful spot and incredible hospitality! Steve even helped us get unbogged (hot tip: don’t drive your Toyota Hiace van over the paddock 😂)
The wood fired bath is a dream come true and the stockyard bar is so fun. We want to come back for a big party some time 🔥 🐄 🍻

Amazing location, stunning views thay provided many beautiful sunsets and sunrises. It was so peaceful and felt like you were in a world of your own! Steve was a great host with excellent communication and very welcoming. It was a great spot to explore nearby areas. Great to have a flushing toilet and fire pits at every site. There was ample at every site, we had 2 sites for our 2 grouos but ended up camping on one as there was so much space. Friendly cows and cheeky goat made for a perfect camping trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Steve’s place. The views were incredible and the camp sites were nicely spaced for shade and privacy. The facilities are great too, and Steve is a very friendly and accommodating host. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Such a beautiful spot with stunning views. Added bonus was the two well behaved horses that came for the occasional visit. Loved having the bar area and fire pit to relax around. It also provided great shelter during a heavy storm!!

We're a family of 4 and loved our time here. We'd highly recommend this site for anyone who has some camping experience. The flushing toilet is very clean and communal fire pit and stockmans bar are awesome. Steve is a great guy, very easy to get along with!

Great spot with long views. Good jumping off spot for Fargo and the high plains. The Blue Pools is not far and well worth checking out on a warm day.
The camping area is a pretty exposed area, I'd advise to check the forecast for strong winds if your planning a stay.

Cobbah-downs is made for the ultimate camping weekend. The property has a bunch of friendly cows who come and say g'day, there's a large fire pit to sit around, you can seek cover form the rain on the deck of the 'Stockyard Bar', there's a flushing dunny and the property is accessible and set against a view of the rolling hills of Gippsland, not to mention the very helpful and friendly host Steven (legend) who checked in and made sure we were settled in (even arrived on horseback which made us feel like we were getting the full country experience!).
We couldn't recommend this place more and will definitely be back with a few mates next time because there's ample space!

Steves place was amazing! The bush hut was really nice and clean with a cosy fireplace inside and a big deck out the front to sit and watch the kids play against the picturesque mountain views as the backdrop. Plenty of room to park the vans and a flushing toilet just like home! Down the hill there is a wood fired bath and cows roaming around the paddocks, we couldnt have asked for a better 3 day break to be honest.
