Escape to a bush retreat within this unique lifestyle property. Situated on almost 27 acres of bush, trees and wildlife. The Gates of Heaven’s boundary goes down and runs along the dasher river. Beulah is a small township on the north-west coast of Tasmania south of Devonport, Tasmania, under the foothills of Mount Roland, Tasmania. The closest town of consequence is Sheffield, Tasmania. The hamlet of Lower Beulah lies, perversely, higher up the foothills of Mount Roland, to the south of the main township.

The property has abundance of native wildlife to seek find and enjoy or avoid depending on the dangerous nature of some. The Dasher River is best accessed from the bridge on Beulah Rd. Please be aware of your impact and supervise your children and keep dogs on a leash.

The Gates of Heaven - Big Tre 1 for self contained campers/RV’s - drive in and set up, you will have access to all fire pit areas, BBQ and fresh drinking water. Sites are free range - you will be given direction on arrival -gravel and grassed area - open shared environment- you are free to explore the property which has trails and tracks woven throughout. There is two designated fire pit sitting areas where you are supplied firewood to burn. The property has abundance of native wildlife to seek find and enjoy or avoid depending on the dangerous nature of some. The Dasher River is best accessed from the bridge on Beulah Rd. Sandy’s Gates of Heaven truly lives up to its name. I was lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful property all to myself, and it was absolute bliss. The firepit added a perfect touch, and the trees sprinkled with soft lighting created a magical setting for stargazing and unwinding. Sandy was incredibly accommodating, and her attention to detail made the stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more—already looking forward to my next visit!

Big Tree 3 - Grassed Tent Camping
The Gates of Heaven camp on private property is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the township of Sheffield. It is surrounded by thick bushland on a quiet road, which gives a feeling of solitude. The basic camper is provided with a fire pit, tables, chairs and seats, information sheets on the flora and fauna of the site and several options for parking and setting up camp. It was my first time solo camping, and this place worked well for me. Thanks Sandy!

We found this a great location. We only stayed one night, but felt it’s a place we would return too. Great flat sites , quiet and peaceful yet still close to town if needed

We enjoyed the relaxed peacefulness of this camp spot. Surrounded by bush and bird sounds. The Camo is close to the road but was quiet still. The weather was beautiful while we were there so we didn't take the opportunity to make use of the fire pit area provided. We enjoyed a wander around the property and explored some of the tracks. The camp is just a short drive to Sheffield, Railton, Kimberly and even Mole Creek which would make it a great base to explore the sites around the area.

It was serene and peaceful. Very good communication from the host and a brilliant location. Only 10 mins from Sheffield town. Loved the way it's designed to allow for privacy

Overall we had a great stay, great fire pit and sites were level, would be great for camper vans, the only down side for us was the ground was so rocky we couldn't put our awning Pegs on the ground and the trucks travelling the road started at 5am and were very noisy as the sites are close to the road. Thanks 😊

We loved the grassy camping area nestled among trees and ferns. It was a nice shady site for hot days. Water was available from the rainwater tanks and we had a wonderful evening around the firepit.

Great spot in a gorgeous area. Was great being close to Sheffield for tasty coffee and food. The site was gorgeous, just check the land before you set up. Down in the grassy area was beautiful but we ended up moving sites because of the ants. Sandy’s instructions and guide were super helpful and the night sky view was just stunning from under the Big Tree. The fire pit was so awesome with complementary wood to burn. We really enjoyed this stay, would definitely come back again.

The privacy was amazing we had a group of 4 vans and were the only ones there. The area with fire pit is great. The only down fall was the dirt. As it was windy dirt was blowing everywhere. We had a dog that also get very dirty and dusty. Some grass to park on would improve things. A bit further to the river that what we imaginef
