Great location. Kids loved feeding the animals and exploring the walking tracks. It was packed for the March long weekend but our spot around the lake had some privacy which was good.

It was a busy weekend at Old Mac’s farm but Lucas was able to find a spot. Facilities were well maintained and staff friendly.

Easy to find, plenty of spaces to choose from with each site more than adequate so you aren’t parked on top of each other. Amenities were always clean and the whole check-in/check-out process was online and a beeeze.

Seemed ok. Didn’t really like that there wasn’t a proper site allocation. It seems if you don’t race to get an unpowered site early, then it really is up to the site gods to find a spot. I thought there might’ve been a lot of distance between sites as well.
My bad though. Old Macs farm has got all favorable reviews, so maybe just not for me.

It was fantastic! So central to Launceston and surrounding Tamar Valley areas. We stayed 4 night altogether. Beautiful grounds surrounded by little lakes. Toilet facilities were great! Lots of animals for the kids. Great sized sites and Lucas was super friendly. Book on HipCamp or pay on-site. Arrive - pick your site and all done! Highly recommend. We stayed in unpowered site.

Really lovely spot tucked away. Really well kept campgroup. Super easy instructions to find a spot and set yourself up. On the ball communication for any questions I had. I would definitely love to return for a longer stay.

Great place to base yourself for a bit of touring around Launceston.
We spent 3 days here, and could have easily done 3 more.
Having access to water on unpowered sites was great too.

We had a fantastic experience at Old Mac’s Farm in Launceston. It’s a beautifully kept, family-friendly place with a really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The kids absolutely loved getting up close with the animals, and there was plenty to keep them entertained without feeling rushed or overcrowded.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals, which made the experience even better. Everything was well organised, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to enjoy the day at your own pace.
A perfect spot for families, visitors, or anyone wanting a wholesome day out. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Old Mac’s Farm to anyone visiting the area.

What an amazing place to stay. It has everything you need from animals to picking your own berries. Wonderful cafe and not far from the city centre. So organised.

Great spot -big camping ground but sites were still relatively private. Kids loved farm animals and we also enjoyed restaurant on site for breakfast.

We have been travelling Australia for 3 months now and this hipcamp is the best one we have been too. So much space, massive sites, water available for unpowered sites. Our kids had a great time and the pups loved it. Very good pricing and maintained really well. Thanks for having us.

We loved Old Mac’s Farm. So many areas to camp in that are suitable for all different types of self contained campers.
We travel in a small camper and found a lovely sheltered spot. Love it that you can have a look around, choose the spot that suits, then check in.
This place is so well organised, clean and the check-in system is seamless using Hipcamp or the self check in booths. Firewood, fire pits, potable water are all so easy to access.
A lot of work goes into managing a place for us all to enjoy. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
