This is a very flat and well-organised place, and it’s easy to get to. It’s close to the village, where you can find toilets with showers and a water refill point. The area is quiet and peaceful, but also great for families. There are books and games available, and plenty of open space for kids to run around or ride their bikes.
You can buy homemade products from the farm or nearby areas, like jam and honey. There is also a lot of useful information about things to do around the area. Safety is well covered, with a snake bite kit and a fire extinguer available.
The best part of our stay was the wildlife. After three weeks trying to see a platypus without success, we were very lucky here. We saw a rakali at dusk and two platypus at sunrise. One of them was still swimming and playing later in the morning. Check-out is at 12:00, and the platypus was still there when we left.
