I was greeted on arrival and shown the appropriate camping spots. Caretaker was super nice and friendly. The campsite has all the right amenities- fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave so it’s easy to organise your food. Also a pizza oven and barbecue. Owner came over with muffins on my first morning which was super nice. Chicken seemed to undo my tent pegs while I was away during the day. Overall great stay with lovely views.

The website advertises $5.00 for electric hookups. If the request does not get submitted properly, they charge you $10 on-site at check-in. Water is also only included if you pay for the electricity. But you can’t use the water at your leisure because the handle for the faucet is not attached. Apparently people take the faucet handles??
They advertise a kitchen area, and when you arrive you are instructed to use your own kitchen, and only use theirs if absolutely necessary.
If you use the shower, you are required to mop
the floor because the shower door is too short.
WiFi is also advertised, but it is a weak signal.
If they don’t want you to use their amenities, which we’re all run down at best, don’t advertise them.
Thankfully we were self contained and did not need to use their kitchen.

Unfortunately we were unable to make it for our stay due to car issues. I sent the host a message explaining the situation and had no reply.

The caretaker was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. We met the friendly chook.
There was no sink in the camp kitchen.
Only the one bathroom with one toilet and shower. No soap or mirror. We felt that the facilities would really struggle if they were more than a few campers there.
We felt that this campground was a bit expensive for what was provided compared to other campsites on our trip

This is a fantastic campsite only 35 minute drive from cradle mountain visitors centre! The lady manning the site was wonderful, set us up with everything we needed and showed us the best place to pitch our tent! The hot shower was beautiful after a long day walking, and the small camp kitchen area was a nice place to take refuge from the cold of our tent! It had a couple plug sockets so you could change your phones or portable charger, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and a table and chairs. There was an undercover outdoor bit too with a bench, bbq and pizza oven . The resident chicken Mrs.Chook was very sweet and friendly, she’s a vocal girl but loves pecking at your shoes bless her! Would highly recommend staying here!

A beautiful place, perfect for camping! The toilets and showers are excellent, and the kitchen is spotless. The lady who welcomed us was very kind and friendly. The surroundings are stunning to explore, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone, 100%!

Cethea was a great place to camp nr Cradle mountain. I booked on the day and was really impressed by the kitchen facilities, power outlets and hot showers. It was winter and cold and I was really touched at being offered a hot water bottle and felt very looked after. 100% recommend.

I had a lovely stay at Cethana Campground. The area is quiet and peaceful—perfect for relaxing. The toilets were clean, and the hot showers were a nice bonus. There’s even Wi-Fi, which was great to have. Everything felt well looked after, and it’s clear the owners care about the place. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a calm, well-equipped camping spot in the area.

There is a decent bathroom and a simple but nice kitchen. The campground is flat and suitable for tents. The owner is friendly. I saw Pademelon wandering around my tent in the night! It is definitely recommended!

Management were so welcoming and friendly. Really loved our conversations, such a wise women.
The campsite had all the basics. Just would have been an improvement to have a sink in the kitchen, but one nearby in the amenities building did the trick. Loved the paddymelons hanging about.

The main toilet, only shower, trough and handbasin were located in one small room. It became very busy at times. The shower leaked water onto the floor and soon became a mess. There were 2 other toilets at the nearby cafe, however they didn't have lights. The camp kitchen didn't have a stove or sink.

Easy to find and I was greatly warmly upon arrival. The kitchen, bathroom, and laundry are basic, but they were clean and well maintained. The hot shower had good water pressure and was much appreciated after a long day exploring the sites around the area

Very nice Camp to a good Price. There were hot showers and great picnic area. Wendy made sure everyone had a nice stay and a good camp spot. Highly recommend since it's a short drive to cradel mountains

Great little campsite. Clean shower and toilet, drinking water, and kitchen facilities. Short drive to Cradle Mountain. Wendy was absolutely lovely and super helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely amazing people! Such a beautiful stay, clean shower and toilets. Pizza oven works just ask for a little hand if needed :)
Cafe just up the street open Wednesday to Sunday as well for nice little meals. Miss Chook is the resident chicken but super friendly! We will definitely be returning

Staying at Cethana Campground was some of the best nights of my trip. A somewhat small unsuspecting place, with everything you need. The hot shower, flushing toilets and kitchen facilities were particularly welcome after spending so long camping. The camp is pretty close to a road but I didn't have any issues the couple nights I stayed there. Could get a bit busy though so best to book ahead if possible even though it's not required. A very friendly caretaker and lovely wildlife to boot. Would definitely stay here again, especially with how close it is to Cradle Mountain and how good value it is. Big thumbs up 👍🏻

Good, clean facilities including one hot shower. BBQ worked well after a bit of tinkering. Fridge froze our milk because my partner played with the thermostat, would advise not to touch it!

Good spot to stop off on the way to cradle mountain. Has wifi. Had a shower and a toilet. There is also a camp kitchen with basic equipment and a pizza oven if you feel inclined.

This was my second visit to Cethana campground - it’s a great choice for affordable camping relatively near cradle mountain! Mrs Chook the chicken is a fantastic host 😋

Loving camping spot nestled in the mountains. Good shower and toilet, with extra toilets next to the cafe. A cute chicken wanders about the campsite. Electricity but no water connection.

Great camp site with power, water, and kitchen. There is a great walk from the grounds to do as well. Dale was great to talk to and made excellent coffee.

Great little property. Very welcomed by Wendy and served great coffee by Dale on our first morning. Facilities (shower, toilets and camp kitchen) all in good order. Great base for exploring Cradle Mountain.

Facilities were good and clean. The site is closer to a road than I expected, however road noise was less than I thought it would be. Unfortunately there was an incident with someone driving in *site is open next to a road* and parking. The owner of the campground came out swearing, and screaming at them. She was very rude and abusive to the people that drove in who were French. They were extremely polite and apologetic. Unfortunately this really made us uncomfortable and we spent the rest of our stay on edge. The owner did come an apologise to us later about what had happened, which we appreciated. That kind of behaviour is not acceptable and we would not return.

Dale was not contactable before the trip. Wendy on site was lovely. Unfortunately my experience was soured by the fellow campers around. This made accessing the facilities hard, difficult to sleep, and lacked certain things I was hoping for from the listing. It may be a good experience for someone else, it just was not for me and I wouldn’t recommend it.
