Hosts are very helpful and communicative. The camping spot is great. It is very quiet and private. You are near Paris Mountain State Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail for outdoor recreation.

Cozy Cabin on Wheels
The cozy cabin on wheels was the perfect spot for a Thanksgiving weekend camping trip with my son and dog. The cabinet itself was adorable and you could tell a lot of thought was put into the amenities. Even though it froze while we were there, we were snug as a bug in our little cabin. I loved that my dog could be off leash and play with the hostās dog and cat as well. Although the house was not far, we felt we had all the privacy we needed. Our host was just a message away from answering any questions we may have had and gave lots of local recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Marks place was WONDERFUL. He was such a thoughtful host and took his time to show us through the campsites as well as his garden and even showed us chanterelle mushrooms (they tasted wonderful). I will 100% be coming back.

We loved camping on Markās land. Mark was super nice and very helpful. There are a couple of campsites to choose. The short walk in to the spot by the creek was very nice. We would definitely stay at this site again.

If you want the true hike in experience, highly recommend the creek side sight.
If not, there's a drive in spot as well

The site is beautiful and itās secluded and surrounded by trees. I was there during hurricane Helene so I didnāt actually stay in my camper, but no trees fell over and everything was fine. Mark was very accommodating and looked after my camper while I wasnāt there. I will stay there again.

We loved staying at Markās land, we tented below the trees. He gave clear directions where to stay and provided options. This spot was near out Caesars mountain hike. The sunset colors and night sky were beautiful. We recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved the roughing it camping, this was the best camping experience we have ever had. Mark was the best , he was polite and respectful and very helpful, he had a fire built for us when we arrived and didnāt come around bothering us like a lot of people do . This was absolutely amazing and we will be doing it again š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©. Five stars Mark āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Awesome place! I enjoyed staying here so much. The old growth forrest is magnificent with a stream running through. And Mark's hospitality is amazing, he shared some veggie overflow from the lovely organic gardens. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our little retreat here. Thank you Mark!

This was our first hipcamp and I have nothing but good things to say. The location was very conveniently located in TR, situated nicely between the mountains and the city (Greenville and TR). It is very easy to find and also very quiet, which is nice. The trails behind the pad were great for our dogs and the view of the mountains was beautiful. Mark was wonderful, responsive and helpful throughout our stay!

I always feel like home at Mark's. Very peaceful land, and Mark is always accessible and available for his guests with everything needed and beyond. This is my to go place in the area when I need some time to recharge.

What a delightful property! I had a space right next to a deck that I was able to use. There are trails that you can explore, and Mark is an awesome host. It's at the very end of a residential area, and is close (within a few miles) of all Traveler's Rest has to offer. Great location, great property, great host - you can't go wrong!

Next to wooded area. Dogs loved running around. Our kids loved exploring the trail right next to our camper. So close to Greenville. Would come back.

Iāve been traveling across the country with my girlfriend for over a year and half and weāve stayed in all kinds of places. I have to say that Mark was one of the best hosts we have ever experienced. He was kind and generous with everything his land and property had to offer. There were trails and fresh water streams to explore along with an organic garden to make the freshest of salads. Plus youāre super close to the charming town of Travelers Rest and Greenville where you can find some delicious food and restaurants. Mark was also extremely accommodating to our two pups which made everything that much better.
We loved the area so much that my girlfriend and I have decided to settle down not too far away.
We highly recommend Markās property as a place to stay along your journey. You will definitely get the best of everything.

This is our second booking at this property. The land is very private and quiet but close to everything you would need in town. Mark was an awesome host who responds VERY quickly. You can really tell that he cares that his guests have a good stay.
We will definitely be returning.

This is an awesome place to stay.
The Grounds:
You can choose to camp in a nice flat area tucked away from the home but accessible to the car (grassy area) or you can choose to hike a very short distance down a well cut hiking trail on property to choose your own campsite.
We hiked in and found an amazing spot right near the creek that runs through the property.
There is a firepit up near the grassy area that is a common area firepit. We chose to camp in our hammocks with tarps and had plenty of options on property to choose from.
The grounds are extremely quiet and peaceful and we slept great each night.
The Area:
It took us only 7 minutes to drive into the town of Travelers Rest and then 19 minutes to drive to Greer. Greenville was about 22 minutes from the campground. Highly recommend going into Travelers Rest and grabbing food at Farmhouse Tacos, the Whistle Stop (they had live music the Saturday night we were there). We also enjoyed a wonderful drink and chat at the Tasting Room. With so many incredible places within a short drive,you certainly won't go hungry or thirsty!
We will definitely be back. In fact, we have already booked another night to stay at this quiet and convenient location. When you are camping you REALLY are relaxed but when you head into town, you have all the amenities at your fingertips. It is the best of both worlds.
