Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

When entering Pine Ridge Camp (on arrival look for the red painted fence posts, this will be your camp site). Approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees along one side, we also have hay bales separating each campsite for some privacy. This large site is perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, Rv, or even a bus! One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior).  Up to 10 people total allowed on this site (including children). Please advise of number of children when booking. Children aged 15 and under FREE. Children 16 and up, please include in number people at time of booking.  Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet, and peaceful. Absolutely great place to stay, planned on 1 night stop over and stayed 3 nights. Mt Gambier had so much to offer and do with in the town Definitely staying again soon

Great paddock overnighter

Pine Ridge Purple Pine
Great paddock for an overnighter, plus they have a Highland Cow (say less). We are on our way back to Perth from Melb and this served as a nice spot to pull in for a night. Freezing cold and rainy but the highland cow (Nin) and the cows next paddock over were a nice treat to say hi to despite the weather. We’re traveling in a swag with our dog. Paddock was level and fire pit was provided. No complaints! Thank you

Loved our stay here - sites are HUGE and each have a fire pit. The newest addition, the highland cow - was definitely the highlight. She’s a beautiful part of the farm stay experience. We definitely recommend.

What a fabulous spot to explore Mt Gambier, only 10min out of town! The sites are HUGE, it was so peaceful, great for the kids to run around, and if you prefer space than being crammed in a caravan park, this is perfect. You need to be fully self contained. Owners were super friendly & even gifted us a jar of their delicious local honey. Would definitely recommend 🤗

My family and I loved camping here, very peaceful, I love how they keep the firewood on the campsite to grab whenever you like! My daughter loved toasting her marshmallows. We would stay again ☺️

Loved our stay here! Very large sites make you feel secluded. Not on a main road or next to a road so felt safe leaving the van unattended to explore the region. Owners very lovely and welcoming.

We booked this month's prior for our South Australia trip. Great location and beautiful spot but when we arrived there the campsite was overgrown with vegetation so a quick mow would of made it more pleasant.The fire pit which was advertised was under vegetation and couldn't see it.

Nice spot, but the grass was too high (knee high)with weeds..not easy to walk around for parents on walker. We had some rain, so couldn't walk around without getting wet feet! Owner mowed the lawns the next day (around us) extremely noisy, obviously blades not sharp because you really couldn't see where he had been. Didn't look to wave or say hi..

As far as location goes, it was perfect not far from all the sides, but the actual hip can’t site was so overgrown that the fire pit that was provided very hard to find overgrown with grass and weeds. someone did come and mow the grass the second day we were there, but just around the area we were at because our vehicles and caravans were there. They couldn’t mow needed. I just think if they know they have people coming to stay to make a bit more to have a tidy for us.

Such a beautiful place to stay. We stayed during the week and had the whole place to ourselves for all but one night, and the sites were well spaced so even when people were there it felt private. Beautiful views to wake up to and the sunsets were incredible. Hosts were lovely and gave us a jar of their honey before we left. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting to be close to town but is looking for somewhere a bit on the quieter side.

The location of Pine Ridge is what got me to book it. Within easy access to Mount Gambier and all it's site seeing glory. The location itself was very windy on my visit as there really is no protection from the wind. I was in a tent with a stand alone shower/toilet tent. It blew over twice one day even with being pegged down and tied to the main tent. So going in winter is not the best idea. Also the area is not really suited to tents. Hard to find an area that was not going to cause damage to the floor of my tent due to small branches and the large weeds made the area quite bumpy. I don't know if there was a ban on fires at the time but the ungrounded firepit provided was only located due to the star picket next to it. It was completely disguised by the weeds. I didn't know there were bats on the property in the tree I was camped under and on the other side of the paddock. I was very happy about that and enjoyed watching them flying around after dusk. The kangaroos also come into the paddock late in the day for a feed. They didn't seem to know what to make of my tent. The owners are a delight and gifted me with a jar of their own honey. It is delicious. It's a working farm too which I also liked. All up, a good location, nice owners, quiet for the most part and at $25 a night, was a decent price.

We loved our stay at Pine Ridge. Very spacious sites & the colour coding made it so easy to differentiate between sites. Only a few minutes drive out of Mount Gambier. Minimal highway noise.

Great place to camp for a few days as you explore Mount Gambier 😍 Huge sites, $18 per night, no facilities so much be fully contained. But you can go see their 3 miniature goats. Highly recommend

Wow what a great spot to explore Mount Gambier 😍 Massive camp sites, all colour coded, can have a camp fire on these cool winter nights. The owners are lovely & are happy to introduce to their two dogs, one a zoomy Kelpie & the other a black labrador 🥰 Even got to see their incredible bird collection. Highly recommend, will definitely be back 😀👍

We had a great night at Pine Ridge, we chose the Orange site but we were the only people there! It was a very peaceful location. Directions were great and the built in fire pit for each site was a bonus. We will definitely stay again when we return.

We had the whole place to ourselves which was nice :) The sunset over the fields and through the trees was beautiful and the morning mist was lovely (it was a chilly morning!!) I'd bring ear plugs if I was staying here again as you could hear vehicles on the main road throughout the night. And there was a weird chemical / paint stripper kind of smell at our site. We couldn't identify what it was or where it was coming from. It dissipated once we had our awning walls up and came back in the morning when we opened everything up.

Great place to stop.. we had some great weather, couldn't beat the sunrise and sunset there. So much space . Definitely worth a stay. Close to town and definitely far enough away from society

I left 2 nights early & Natasha ignored me when I asked for the 2 nights of what I paid to be refunded & I'm homeless, so ahh yea Classic human nature,don't expect anything less. Pay someone else don't go there
