A brilliant place to stay!
We stayed here for four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The best place we have ever camped! Helen, the host, was so informative and helpful. Her family have been on the property for generations and she obviously enjoyed the chance to share the place she loves with visitors. Wildlife everywhere, emus stepping past your door, large mobs of kangaroos wherever you look and of course the koalas… Such a peaceful place to camp and so much room. Helen can also provide access to nearby Whalers Way which was just stunning! We spent a whole day there and it was the most memorable day of our trip. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mikkira Station to anyone. We will be back!

Sleeping with Koalas, but for real!
Mikkira station is a wonderful gem in the Eye Peninsula. If you go to Port Lincoln, stay nowhere else but here! Magic place,m in the bush, but toilets are cleaner than most post places in town we’ve been to, honestly! Nice hot shower. The landscape is incredibly suggestive, and we could see loads of Roos and some emus too. The place is an old sheep station. We could see 22 🐨 We just stayed one night, but for the next travelers, plese allow yourselves a couple of days to enjoy this place properly. Calm, quiet, also because a part from us there were 3 more caravans only. And they were 200/300 m far from our spot. Helen came to say hello at our arrival and in the morning giving us recommendations. Thank you 🙏

I loved camping on Helen's land! We were surrounded by an incredible amount of wildlife such as koala's, emu's, kangaroos, sheep,... Helen is such a lovely host who even came down to say hello and wanted to point out where we could find koala's. The hot shower is a bonus because the nights can be quite cold! We camped in our own rooftop tent but there's also the option to stay in one of the glamping tents. The road to the site is a bit bumpy at some points but if you drive slow enough (also to not hit any wildlife) it's okay to do so. This was our 2nd time here and would 100% recommend it to everyone!

Amazing stay!
It's an amazing experience to sleep in between the wildlife and worth the money. Additionally I can recommend Helen, she's a very kind person and helps with every question. It's an experience you should better do if you never saw koalas or just wanna live in between kangaroos, emus and Koalas.

Open camping, caravanning with lots
Fabulous location and lots of native wildlife. Helen is a great host and very generous with her time. She explained the history of the area and recommended going to whalers way which we really enjoyed.

Up close to our amazing koalas.
Amazing camping so close to koalas in their home! Wide open spaces for camping, stunning bird life, kangaroos and emus. Worthwhile reading up on the brief history of the early owners to enjoy the historic ruins.
