Back to basics camping. Great spot!
4 m pop-up camper · Group trip · We enjoyed our stay at site 4 and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to camp in a larger group. Location made an excellent base camp for exploring the east coast and Innes NP. There was heaps of room for all our cars. The site itself was a bit smaller than the photos and google earth suggested, but we made it work. The drop toilet was a bit on the rough side, but funtional. Would be great to see that upgraded in the future with a simple concrete slab and form plywood walls like you see in the national parks, and maybe a tank fed sink to wash your hands? We brought our own portable camping toilets which were a life saver, and to be honest almost a necessity I reckon. Especially if you're having a few drinks and need to wee often. The scrub provided good shelter in the most part from the wind but not completely. Ground was easy to anchor into and plenty of trees/scrube to also anchor to if a storm roles in like it did for us. Flies weren't too bad, but certainly present. Very few mozzies. No problems with wild bees. Their was a few large ant nests around but they were harmless, mostly non intrusive and didn't bite at all. We did spot a few ticks around so be careful with dogs! Otherwise, happy with our stay. Thanks for having us Matthew. See you next time 🙂👍
