Edenvale Pastorals was originally established as a solider settlers farm, and later was purchased by the Wilmott family in 2001 and converted to regenerative cell grazing cattle farm. The farm was leased for a few years, up until the recent 2019-2020 bush fires. Since the bush fires our family has decided to move back onto the farm and start the rebuild. We will be continuing with the sustainable farming practices and want to give people the opportunity to stay and enjoy the west end. No need to bring your own tent, stay with up to three people in a suspended tent! We can also provide bedding. Should you have a group larger than three, where some people can bring their own gear, we have space for them too. We have a hot outdoor shower, and compost toilet. Pets are also welcome, however must not be in the tent, and must not harass the wildlife. The suspended tent sleeps 3 people maximum. If you have any additional people who bring their own camping gear they are welcome to book our other listing 'Jump Off Road Camp (own gear).' The surrounding paddocks are home to our cattle that pass through occasionally, and during the afternoons you have the opportunity to observe the abundant wild life that come to life, as well as a healthy bird life among the trees. On your stay you have the choice of enjoying the walks and hikes through out the De'mole river and Cape Torrens that are at your door step, go sightseeing in the national park, the De Tong Ling Stupa, Billy Goat water falls or even Western River Cove or just relax and enjoy the serenity of your suspended tree tent experience.Either way, we hope you enjoy what the west end has to offer. Flinders Chase National Park is 40km via bitumen road or 27 km via Shackle road. Keep up to date with road closures through Flinders Chase national park website. Cape Borda Light house is 23km from our farm, there are several hikes in that area such as the Ravine Des Casoars and Harveys return. Keep tabs on their website as the park is closed, however still accessible by foot from the gate. De Tong Ling Stupa is 20km from our farm and is open to the public to visit. Billy Goat waterfalls generally has water flowing through mid winter, but regardless is a beautiful easy hike that comes alive with fungus and orchids early winter and during spring. Be mindful we are 45 minutes from the closest fuel station, at Parndana, and most places close early so it would be wise to be well prepared before getting here. 15km of the road is dirt, just take it easy if you're in a 2wd, and be aware of eagles, kangaroos and wallabies. Suspended Tent Experience

This is an experience for those who enjoy adventure camping. You have the opportunity to stay in a suspended tent up in the trees on our beautiful farm! These tents work by their three-point anchoring system. Usually, they are tensioned off of three trees, however, in this case, our tent is only tensioned off of three big branches in the middle of a beautiful old stringybark tree. These tents are made to withstand rough conditions like the wet and windy conditions the island throws at us during winter. The tensioned base and the dividing straps, which can be manipulated to suit each person's comforts, create a very cozy and comfortable space inside. Surrounded by nature and views of the Cape Torrens cliffs you'll stumble across your suspended tent already set up in the trees. Inside you will find a nonslip inflatable mattress, and upon request, we can provide you with bedding for an additional cost, or you can make yourself comfortable with what you have brought for yourself. Private spacious camp site tucked away at the bottom of the property, next to a winter creek and dam. You are welcome to set up anywhere with in that paddock that suits your style of camping however there is an allocated fire place with a picnic table and it is in walking distance of toilet for convenience.

This site is located in a semi exposed area with beautiful views of the Cape Torrens, pine forest and scenic views of the property. You are elcome to set up anywhere within the paddock thay suits your type of camping, however there is an allocated fire place. The distance to the toilet from the fire place is roughly 300 metres.

What a beautiful place to be able to camp! Amanda’s property is stunning, and very easy to find. She’s also lovely to chat to and really wants to make sure stay is a good one :) We found the location ideal for exploring the island from the west coast right across to Kingscote. Amanda makes sure you have plenty of privacy so if you want to escape the crowds this is the spot for you.

Awesome camping spot. We stayed here with extended family over the Easter long weekend. It's a beautiful spot on the farm and great to be able to bring our dogs and have the whole paddock to ourselves.

Suspended Tent Experience

While we didn’t stay in the suspended tents this was a peaceful, remote and lovely spot. Be sure to take food and everything you need. The cattle roamed around and checked us out. It was had lots of trees for shade and to hang out under too unlike some other properties we stayed at which were just fields. We would love to go back and stay in the suspended tents for a different experience!

Our stay at Jump Off Road was brilliant. Amanda was a terrific host, always staying in contact with us prior to arrival to make sure that directions were clear, and they were. Wow, better than expected. We had the place to ourselves, firewood supplied for us (ample, and paid on arrival), hot shower, toilet, picnic table & chairs. A beautiful property that was licked near the edges by the bushfires but is now bursting with new life. so lovely to see. Amanda, true to her word, was a call away but other than that left us alone. The bird life was abundant and we even managed to see a pair of Glossy Black cockatoos on the day we were leaving. Thanks for sharing your property with us Amanda. We are so thankful we stayed at your piece of paradise at the west end of KI. We will be back.
