Beautiful, spacious & private campsite. Ray came down to greet us upon arrival, very friendly and accomodating host, he even offered us a tour of the vanilla orchard. (we might take him up on it next time). After we spoke to Ray we were left to ourselves and had a great relaxing time. The for pits were stocked with firewood free to use and the creek was beautiful and clear.

Just a beautiful place with open space and lovely creek side camping. Raymond was a gracious host and the family had a great time despite the inclement weather.

We enjoyed our three nights camping, large flat grassed area next to a clear creek. Views of Qlds highest mountain and close to beaches and waterfalls. Will definitely be going back.

We had an amazing time here! This property is literally a slice of paradise!! One of the nicest rainforest camps we have been too. Ray is a bloody legend, top Aussie bloke, very welcoming! Can’t rate this one high enough.

What a great little place to stay just a stones throw from Cairns.. The camp site is clean, private and only short walk to the creek..
The kids loved the menagerie of wildlife, including fish and turtles. The creek was clean and a refreshing spot to take a dip.
Ray and Trish were extremely welcoming and accommodating - including a tour of their vanilla farm.
We would highly recommend staying, if you are after a nice, quiet, private campsite with the creek being the added bonus offering endless entertainment for the kids and adults alike.
Fancy a few sundowners with a fire by the creek.. You can have that too.. Ray and Trish have thought of everything.
We have already booked our return trip

Woopen Creek Vanilla farm is our go-to getaway camping spot. Always spotless and lush grass to run around on barefoot. Only an hour south of Cairns and very close to Innisfail if you need supplies / dump point. There is now a privacy shed for your portapotti/ camp shower.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Camping by the Creek in a ground tent.
Beautifully maintained camping area.
Peaceful and relaxing and the sunset was amazing.
Crystal clear water, abundant bird life and beautiful views.
Raymond is a great host.
Definitely Recommend.

Absolutely stunning location, we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and thick low lying mist which was just lovely. There is a great swim hole at the creek. The shower room was great for a quick shower, and the use of our portable toilet. Ray showed my partner and I around the vanilla bean plantation which was very educational. We will definitely be back, might bring some friends with us next time since there was so much space at the campsite. Thank you Ray.

Lovely views to Mt Bartle Frere by a creek on a working vanilla farm, in close proximity to Bartle Frere, Babinda and Josephine Falls etc. Highly recommended! Thanks for a lovely stay Ray!

Hosts were great, friendly and accommodating. The camping area is extremely well maintained, shelter provided for your own amenities, firewood and fire pits good to go. You have the whole area your self. Creek was crystal clear and refreshing. Have been a couple times now and will be back

We loved the peace and quiet. The camping area by the creek is wonderful and we enjoyed drinks by the fire overlooking the beautiful crystal clear waters of the creek. Ray and Patricia are wonderful hosts and very willing to share their little patch of paradise.

Very well maintained and manicured lawns, couple of fireplaces to choose from, some nice timber chairs to sit by the creek, also a little outhouse for our toilet and shower setup, very enjoyable long weekend, can also purchase some fresh vanilla, Ray generously hand delivered for us

Raymond was lovely and very helpful. The site was beautiful. Unfortunately due to unexpected inclement weather we had to pack up and come home so didn’t get to meet Patricia. The only downfall is for Telstra customers as while it says it’s intermittent there is actually no service at all.
We see this as being our regular camping spot in the future.

Lovely surroundings. Lots of green grass and a nice creek nearby. Fires are allowed so that is great. Very quiet and only two sites make this a lovely spot to stay.

Lovely spot down by the river, well away from highway noise aside from some local traffic. Superbly maintained site with gorgeous grass you can run around barefoot with no worries.
Beautiful, clear, not-too-deep river for a dip.
The small ‘crop-dusting’ planes (non-chemical) from the neighbouring banana plantations wake you up just before sunrise (midweek camping) but wouldn’t be an issue for early risers.
Ray is a friendly host who isn’t far away if needed.

Absolutely beautiful spot to set up and spend the weekend. Had a nice private and quiet spot to set up next to the campfire and enjoy some amazing views of the stunning garden and wildlife. The creek on his property is a perfect swimming hole with clear flowing water that I basically slept in. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
