Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
In a quiet and private bush block at the end of a cul-de-sac lies a levelled flat space situated across the road from the river at 1770. You'll be sitting amongst the Australian bush with a white sandy river only a hop, jump and skip away. Walking tracks that meander through a scenic reserve to a headland with beautiful bay and ocean views are at your doorstep. There's space for a camper / tent / small caravan and car and if the tinny or boat doesn't fit there's often designated car parking spaces available on the road. Our neighbours enjoy a peaceful and quiet space and we ask all our guests to help respectfully maintain this. You're towing set up needs to be quite compact - under 12m combined to allow for a tight dog leg turn into the levelled campsite which is accessed by reversing down a steepish (but short) concrete and gravel driveway, for this reason we think a 4WD or AWD vehicle is best suited for this site. But for perspective if you are just tenting we have a RAV4 which has no problems accessing the camp site. The camping area is a flat gravelled surface (we recommend wearing shoes around the campsite) in a quintessential Australian bush setting. Private and peaceful and in close proximity to Round Hill Creek. On a second level down a small bank there is a firepit space, previous stairs that were cut into the bank have washed away so you'll either need to be fairly nimble to walk up and down or you can just as easily walk around to this level. We have no facilities so you'll need to bring everything with you - toilet / water / firewood / etc and you'll need to take everything home with you including your rubbish. So if you have a self sufficient set up and enjoy a quiet and private space away from the hustle and bustle of busy parks and campgrounds then this will be the perfect spot for you to enjoy. Set up and stay put exploring the creek, nearby bush walks and beautiful headlands or use as home base for your adventures.

FINBAY RIVERSIDE
Great location, private and close to everything 1770 has to offer. Very steep driveway, not suitable for mid sized to larger caravans. We got our van in ok, but it was challenging.

FINBAY RIVERSIDE
Very nice spot, right in seventeen seventy. Secluded camping area with lots of privacy. The mesh flooring was an added bonus since it was rainy while we were there. Was a great spot and would definitely be back! A tree did fall on our gazebo but our gazebo lived and the winds and rain were bad that night.

FINBAY RIVERSIDE
We had a lovely time at finbay. We were lucky enough to get a beachside camping spot not 10m from the beach. We would definitely go back preferably for longer. We appreciated the parks rules around noise after dark as it was so peaceful after sundown. Definitely a great place for families. Take push bikes and scooters to grab a coffee and go to the park walking distance from the site.

❤️ 1770
Location, location, location! This camp spot offers an incredible proximity to the 1770 headland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, spending our days on beach, taking walks and our evenings around the fire pit. Tanya, the host, was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating with excellent communication
