Sunshine Homestead Whitsundays – Private Farm Stay Welcome to Sunshine Homestead Whitsundays, a relaxed little farm stay in Bowen where you can slow down, spread out, and enjoy a peaceful stay among our animals. We only accept one camping booking at a time, so you’ll have the camping area to yourself with plenty of room to choose a spot that suits your caravan, camper, motorhome, or tent. There are no numbered or allocated sites — simply pick a comfortable spot, set up, and make yourself at home. 🐐 Meet the animals Our chickens, other poultry, and small goats roam freely around the property and will likely wander over to say hello during your stay. Guests and children are welcome to interact with the animals; we just ask that they are treated gently and respectfully. 🐕 Pets are welcome Well-behaved pets are very welcome, provided they are calm and safe around our free-ranging animals. If your pet is likely to chase or become overly excited around chickens, poultry, or goats, they must be kept on a lead. 🔥 Campfires A fire pit is provided in the camping area for evenings around the fire. Fires are welcome when conditions allow and must comply with any local fire bans or restrictions in place during your stay. 🛝 Family friendly Children are very welcome and can enjoy our playground and explore the homestead. Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult, particularly around animals, the fire pit, and other areas of the property. 🌿 A working family homestead We're not a caravan park — we're a small, working family homestead. Expect animals wandering around, the occasional farm noise, uneven ground, and everything else that comes with country living. That's part of the experience. ☕ Our Saturday farm stand Sunshine Homestead is also home to our Saturday morning farm stall, where we sell produce, handmade goods, and freshly made coffee. Saturdays are reserved for our farm stand, so camping is not available on those days, allowing us to keep the camping experience quiet and private while we operate the stall. 🚐 Arrival & camping Access to the camping area is through a property gate. Your host will meet you at check-in, show you through to the camping area, and help you find a suitable place to set up. Whether you're stopping through Bowen or looking for somewhere peaceful to spend a couple of nights, we'd love to have you. Firepit. 🔥 A fire pit is provided in the camping area for guests to enjoy. Fires must only be lit in the designated fire pit and must be attended at all times. Please fully extinguish the fire before leaving it unattended or going to bed. Fires are permitted only when local fire restrictions and weather conditions allow. Any fire bans or restrictions in place at the time of your stay must be followed. Please keep children and pets supervised around the fire pit.

On leash. Pet friendly 🐕 — well-behaved pets are very welcome. Please remember our chickens, poultry and small goats also call the camping area home and may wander over to say hello.
