Nestled on 18 lush acres beside Toolara Pine Forestry, Standown Park is a short 24km drive from Gympie on the Tin Can Bay road sand-fly free. It is the perfect base to relax and escape the hustle and bustle. Standown Park offers beautiful gardens, quiet and safe surrounds with plenty of open space and is a clean, relaxed and unique getaway experience with all your amenities and extensive camp kitchen. It’s a place to unplug, meet old friends and make new ones around the open campfire and where happy hour seems to last a bit longer. A place to bring your family and your friends where you can unplug from technology and take in the peacefulness that is Standown Park. With grass or slab sites for caravans and camping, drive through options for big rigs and plenty of room for large groups, we have your next holiday destination all wrapped up. Pristine camping ground with amenities to match! The pool is beautiful we highly recommend this site. Exceptionally dog friendly, be sure not to miss happy hour at the communal kitchen the local residents are so kind :) We will be back

Large and spacious allocated site. Clean toilets and showers. Pool area tidy. Location states “family friendly” however I would not recommend to families traveling with children. Children did not feel welcome. Always felt we were constantly watched.

A rare gem! Russell was friendly and accommodating. Sites were large and well appointed, not on top of each other. Great for relaxation without neighbours right on top of you. Amenities were clean. Loved having the pool.

Great open grassed areas for off-grid camping. Amenities and pool were very clean, with the pool being a highlight for the kids. Dump point and water available which was handy. Unfortunately, the stay was let down by unfriendly and unapproachable management. The welcome felt quite rude, and we were told not to book through Hipcamp, despite there being no information stating this. The site details on Hipcamp were also inaccurate — we booked with friends expecting to be together but were allocated different spots.

We had a wonderful stay at this caravan park. The site was clean, well maintained, and very peaceful. The facilities were excellent, especially the clean bathrooms and well-kept communal areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always happy to answer questions. The location was perfect, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to local attractions and shops. Our pitch was spacious, level, and had all the hookups we needed, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. Overall, this caravan park offers great value for money and a relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to families, couples, and anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Standown Park was a lovely place with good amenities, however we were disappointed with the attitude of the owner/park manager. We arrived about 20 minutes before the official check-in time, and when we phoned to let him know we were there, he was quite abrupt & rude. We also didn’t realise that our two sites were quite a distance away from each other and were told that’s because of Hipcamps system needing lot numbers for unpowered sites. Perhaps this should be explained in the description of the listing. We ended up using an unpowered site to be with our friends, but still paid the price of a powered site for the 2 nights we were there.

Perfect for a few nights relaxing off the main road amongst the pine forest and farm land. The pool area and facilities as fantastic and all very clean and well kept. Powered lawn site with beautiful grass coverage and shade. We will be back again soon

Stopover on Northbound Roadtrip

Standown Park, Kia Ora is a good spot for a stopover if you’re road tripping the Coolooa Coast. Amenities were clean and well maintained, lots of room to set up, pool was relaxing, we used the camp kitchen only for cleaning. After our stopover, we continued down to Rainbow Beach.

Nice quiet spot. We had a private grassy area that provided views to lovely hills in the distance! Amenities are very clean with great showers. Pool are is lovely too! My only complaint is that the gardens are sadly neglected as the photos on the website show beautiful maintained gardens. Overall experience though was positive and would still recommend it to others.

The park is overall a decent park in terms of space between sites. It was however a little bit concerning when walking the dog at night for a pre-bedtime toilet walk, that there was basically no lighting to see the road. There were some solar lights placed around the place, but a lot of them were either not working or didn’t throw much light out. Lesson learned for us. The manager was nice enough and overall the place was kept tidy. The theme of this park is to support veterans, both ex and serving, as well as other first responders, which is extremely nice, considering I fall into one of those categories. The toilet area could do with some attention, in particular after some rain and people wanting to have showers and remain clean when they walk out. There is a sense of community interaction in the camp kitchen area with a happy hour, bonfire and social gathering with other campers, which was well received by all those who attended.

Lovely spacious well kept property. Tons of room so you were not close to others but had a large communal camp kitchen area to socialise if you want to. Lovely clean amenities and new pool. Would stay again.

Stand Down Park was beautiful! Everything was clean, tidy and well kept very accommodating to everyone. Russell the host was incredible after my forgetful brain he was a life saver and more then happy to help us out. Couldn't ask for a better host!. We will definitely be returning in the near future 💯. Definitely recommend anyone to visit this blissful hideaway 10/10 🙌
