Once owned by a lawless bushranger, Angus McDonald, legend has it that Angus and his gang stowed their loot out at the property. Some say to this day no one has uncovered his gold treasure. The last of Angus and his gang can be seen hanging from 'hang mans tree' in the middle of his hideout. Such a great story, if only it was true... or is it?

Farm Stay Camping at the Overflow

RV/tent site · Sleeps 16 · Vehicles under 12 m
100 acres of open space farmland with a creek bordering one side. Wake up to a stunning sun rise, followed by spectacular sunsets. Light a campfire and it's time to star gaze... don't forget the marshmallows! Walking tracks around the property lead down to the creek. Thanes Creek area is also noted for gold fossicking and there is fun to be had for the whole family. There are multiple spots to choose from, either creek side camping or closer to the animals and amenities, it's your choice. Close by are the Thanes Creek Fossicking area, Leslie Dam and Connolly Dam, both great fishing spots. The town of Warwick is just 25 minutes away.  Campers will have access to a pit toilet during their stay which is located closer to the animals/shed which is not as close to the creek sites. We also have a dump station for your portable toilets. There is plenty of firewood scattered around the grounds of the property that you are welcome to use. Pets are welcome too!

Farm Stay Cactus Creek

RV/tent site · Sleeps 16 · Vehicles under 7 m
A secluded spot nestled in and around prickly pear cactus trees and right on the bank of Reedy Creek. A slightly tight entry to to the campsite that's probably best suited for tents, camper trailers or smaller caravans. We've had duel axel caravans get through just fine just depends how confident you are if you have a big trailer. You have the whole area all to yourself and have exclusive access to the creek for a quick dip or take your kayak for a paddle. Surrounded in trees there is ample shade to relax under. A fire pit is ready for you to get your camping holiday off to a great start. Ideal for tents or camper trailers and maybe even small caravans. A wide track winds its way to the campsite where you're able to completely turn around like a round-about. Great for a private escape or fantastic for the whole family. Bring the kids up to checkout and feed the farm animals. No matter what you do, please enjoy your stay with us.
