Situated on the banks of Back Creek, Amber has its own private waterhole with plenty of shade for relaxing by the water. Access is a little more difficult and requires basic reversing skills and is suited to small set ups only as reversing a trailer in can be quite difficult.

Take it easy and set yourself up by the creek on a large open grassland pad suitable for large groups, camp fires allowed. Please BYO firewood and leave the logs to our native animals. Just below the campsite is your very own private waterhole to enjoy swimming, tube floating, relaxing by the water and bird watching. Brookes waterhole is very large but shallow, great for kids and relaxing on pool floaties. There is a rope swing however the water is shallow and should be used with caution. As the property is a farm, horses and cows may have access to camp grounds at any time.

4x4 Recommended Dry Weather Only Venture over 400acres of bushland and PICK YOUR SPOT!! There are areas we have set up for your convenience however it is up to you where you set up your stay. Many secret secluded locations from being surrounded by steep untamed bushland, to 4x4ing to the top of the 'mountain' and enjoying views towards Brisbane and to the far west. Wake up to the abundance of birdlife, hike to the summit to find the height marker or simply sit and enjoy the serenity Fires are permitted for cosy evenings under the stars. We ask that firewood/branches are to be collected from the tracks and trails, and leave the large logs and hollows for our scaly and marsupial friends.

Don't have a tent or camper and want to get away for the weekend? Two bell tents available for hire. Optional to be set up at any location at any of the other sites. Each tent is fitted with two single mattress and can be pushed together to create a king bed or kept separate for the girls or guys weekend. Up to 6 mattress per tent available at no extra costs. Please byo linen. There are not toilets on site except for a portaloo located close to the Back Creek Site 1 however a toilet and shower block is in the process of being built and will offer clean toilets and hot showers in the future.

This is an awesome camping spot, the trees surrounding camp made it feel very cozy. The scenery was absolutely lovely and was complemented with a gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Even with the cars passing by a few hundred meters away the camp felt very peaceful. Lovely scenic quiet spot. Area has not had a lot of rain thus there was not a lot of water for swimming. We are city slickers - there were 2 horses hanging by a 3 way gate. We were not experienced enough to know that those horses were hanging around specifically to get entry to another paddock. My husband did not shoo them away and opened the gate & one bolted through. We were embarrassed but the owner was understanding. Lesson learned. No network connection which was perfect.

Lovely quiet spot. It was cool to see the horses so close up, the kids loved that. Good space for a camper trailer. The creek was perhaps lower than the photos, and a lot of high grass around the edges. We chose to keep away and not swim. However it was a short trip for us - perfectly located for Darling Downs Zoo, less than 10 minutes drive!

My friends and I booked this campsite and it's safe to say we were very happy with our stay! Directions to the campsite were clear, the host was very hospitable and the farmland was beautiful. Farm animals roamed the property, mostly horses, cows and the occasional friendly farm dog adding to the atmosphere. We had 630 acres of land to explore with a mountain to hike up with lovely views of the Tablelands and the campgrounds below. We also had our own waterhole to cool off on the hot days and built fires to stave off the cooler nights. There was one main fire pit, but you are allowed to have fires anywhere on your camp ground. In addition to setting up a tent, we attached a hammock to sleep in between the trees next to the waterhole. Overall, this campsite provided a lovely stay, being quiet with minimal people, and allowing you to emerge yourself in the sereneness of farm life.

Great, secluded camp—we stayed at the last site and didn’t see anyone the whole time. Access can be wet and slippery, so a 4WD is recommended, especially if rain is expected. Creek access was a bit tricky due to long grass, but we enjoyed walking around the property.

Absolute slice of heaven. Loved the peace and quiet only listening to the sounds of the many birds and occasionally the sheep and horses. The river looked ver inviting but a shame the weather took a turn and was too cold for me to take a dip. Will definitely be booking again

Great tranquil & peaceful camp spot among the stars. Well shaded spot down by the creek to relax, good amount of birdlife. As well as a variety of animals on the farm. If you are self sufficient, set up is easy in just about any location.

We had a great weekend. We camped at back creek site 1. It was such a chill spot, we just pulled up in the Ute's and threw out the swags. Perfect swimming spot. Kimberley was a terrific host, we will definitely be back for sure.

Kim’s place is so peaceful and quiet! The stars at night were incredible and the bird life, beautiful. Kim’s an excellent host and the property is easy to find/get to. A perfect getaway for 2 nights in the gorgeous bell tent 😊

Bush Camping PICK YOUR SPOT
Easy to book and lovely to stay. We stayed 2 nights and camped up the top near the water tank, as we needed some phone/internet reception (it was quite patchy, but we got what we needed) Superb views and gorgeous sunsets. Went for a dip in the creek to cool off. There isn’t any signage on the property, and the hosts tried to give directions, however we did struggle to find where we were meant to go, once on the property. Hopefully the hosts can pop up some signage or landmarks for future campers. Highly recommend this spot for a lovely relaxing getaway!

Nice quiet location, Welcoming hosts. had a great weekend away. Would recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway. If it was warmer we would have loved the swimming, unfortunately fish weren't biting but had a good time trying.

Good location, good people, so quiet and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for. 5m caravan. I did drag the draw bar on a hump, but my van is very low so that’s my problem. I will be back

We camped at back creek S1 and it was gorgeous, had a lovely view of the mountains, and surrounded by horses. Kimberly and her mum were the best hosts ever. Coming around to tell us a bit about everything, places we could go exploring or 4wding. They also spent almost 2 hours tripping back and fourth to their house and the neighbours to help us fix a flat tire, couldn’t recommend this place more.

My husband and I just stayed two nights and had the most beautiful stay! The views are absolutely beautiful. Had the pleasure of meeting some friendly horses on site which was a nice surprise. The creek was beautiful and heaps of cows around. Our Rottweiler also had the best time lazing around. Met Kim on our way out who was also lovely. We highly recommend!!! 😊😊

We loved our stay here over 2 nights, a nice private camp site close to the water. The swimming hole was perfect, lots of fresh water made for some refreshing dips over the afternoons! We had space alongside the water to set up chairs and a table to enjoy drinks and snacks while we relaxed and took in the peacefulness of the property. We would love to return!
