Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

Situated on a wide tidal creek, only 3 km from the Coral Sea, Rosgrow Farm Camping has four available sites, one on the waterfront and others nestled under the gumtrees. Riverside is the closest to the water and offers a sheltered area only 20m from the bank. Fire pits and picnic tables are provided for the perfect night, sitting around the campfire, talking about the day’s fishing, boating, paddle-boarding, kayaking, or just tranquil resting. Guests must be self-sufficient with regard to showers and toilets, these sites are suitable for RVs and caravans with their own toilet. If you want to share this site with friends in another van, just book them into one of the Paddock sites and they can park with you instead. Beware it would be possible but a bit tight with 2 large caravans.

We enjoyed camping at Greg’s campground with a great view of the river, the site was well maintained and with the sites nestled between the trees giving a lovely succulent feel. Greg was a great host meeting us when we arrived and spent time in explaining the site, Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Bit dry at present, but lovely North breeze and very picturesque being right on the creek. Greg is a very accommodating host and is constantly improving the Campground. A must stay.

Really nice stay. Greg is a great bloke very helpful, his property is right on the water with plenty of fish a crab to be caught! Our young children had a ball playing in his little tidal lagoon . It's not deep so you dont have to worry about them too much. Campsites are spaced well apart so dont be concerned about neighbours. Minutes away from town and Hervey Bay if you need anything or want to go on a day trip. We had great phone reception also 😀 on our faves list for sure.

Camping here was great. Greg, the host, is extremely helpful and a wonderful host. His property is spacious and right on the water. Plenty of space between generous sites with shade available. I highly recommend this Hipcamp!

We had a fantastic experience at this Hipcamp. Norm, the caretaker, was incredibly welcoming and shared some great tips about the local area, which really helped us make the most of our stay. The campsites are large, private, and offer stunning views – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We’ll definitely be returning!

Great campsite, good location - close to local beach and restaurants. Friendly and respectful host. Unfortunately we had a lot of sand flies due to recent rain/no breeze. Be prepared and you’ll still enjoy the spot.

Fantastic little spot. Had the riverside site, and waking up to the views over the creek was just spectacular. Fishing was a bit hit and miss, but managed to get a couple of bream, which cooked up well. Close enough to Hervey Bay to easily go and spend the day doing all the "touristy" things, or top up on supplies. Greg was very welcoming, but otherwise left us to our own devices. Definitely recommend, and will be back in the future.

Our stay was good, we found the traffic noise from the close by road on the Friday night was quite loud. You should make sure if staying you take mosquito coils and some Rid or Bushman’s for the sand flies. Camp sites are very spacious and we had the whole place to ourselves. Thanks Greg for your hospitality.

The location was as described but unfortunately so were the sandflies. We were happy to leave after 2 days, as you either cover each part of your body or spray up like crazy. The host was very friendly and helpful. Caught a few crabs and enjoyed a canoe ride when the water was higher. Very tidal indeed. Unfortunately you can not really walk the dog anywhere directly from the property itself as it is located along quite a busy road.

A gorgeous spot, perfectly situated for us, as we have family down the road. The view of the water was lush, although the only downfall is a swarm of midgies and mosquitos which made it uncomfortable to be outside our caravan at night. Owner was really lovely, and the spot was still great for our short stay.

We stayed on Riverside 1. Stunning views when the tide is in. Relaxing location. Great for water activities kayaking and paddle boards. Our son caught a crab undersized but he enjoyed the experience. We had an unfortunate unpredictable weather event come through during our stay and flooded out camp site forcing us to leave earlier then we wanted. Greg was helpful and got us out of any trouble. Very accommodating with refund . We will be back 😃
