Situated just off the Burnett Highway between Goomeri and Ban Ban Springs, the Boonara Creek is the perfect spot to pull up and unwind for a day or a couple to enjoy the beauty of nature. Enjoy the creek view by day and then watch the sun set to a sky full of stars by night. Don’t forget to bring some marshmallows to toast on your campfire! Australia is full of amazing landscapes which are a treasure to enjoy. We have an abundance of bird life, every so often spot a turtle and if your lucky we recently saw a platypus in the creek. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking (season dependant). Take a walk along the creek and appreciate being outdoors. We have many attractions within our area. Coming up on the last Sunday of May is the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, it is always a great weekend for all. There are many wineries in the area to wine & dine, Boat Mountain has some great bushwalks & lookouts and the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail is great for those who enjoy a bike ride. Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. Our son owners and operates a horse training business on our property. Sit back and enjoy your time while knowing you are supporting a farming family!You can park at your chosen spot along our creek, the camp spot is relatively flat with plenty of room to manoeuvre a large caravan. You can park at your chosen spot along our creek, the camp spot is relatively flat with plenty of room to manoeuvre a large caravan. This camp is a 3-minute walk from the main house and you will have complete privacy. Campers must have own amenities for their chosen site and leave no trace. Abundant birds and wildlife

I had a fabulous stay next to the billabong and creek with abundant birds and wildlife in a secluded, grassy location next to the water so my self and my dog could cool off in the heat. Tracey was an extremely friendly and helpful host who made me feel very welcome. I saw a huge lungfish, goannas and other lizards, snakes on the other side of the creek, Rakali (native water rats), a huge list of birds, including a pair of resident azure kingfishers and red backed fairy wrens. I am really looking forward to my next visit!

We camped one night by the creek which was our first time using Hipcamps. It was a lovely peaceful site. Our contact with Tracey & directions made the experience easy. We chose to be close to the creek so four wheel drive was necessary to exit the site. Would stay again & recommend to others

We loved the camp. Perfect little spot down on the creek, even went for a few swims and wasn't too cold. Super quiet and good to have no phone reception to get away from it all, thank you heaps Tracy

What a find….Tracy & Dean’s farm is definitely a place to unwind and a perfect spot to recharge the batteries from every day life. With a beautiful running creek to listen to, lots of bird life and even a little foul to watch as it played with its Mumma. Plenty of space to walk the dogs and explore. Definitely recommend this camp, the beauty of it, location & the limited camps they allow is also a bonus.

We stayed at Tracy and Deans peaceful amazing property and couldn’t have asked for a better spot.. we had a running creek for ourselves and our kids loved every minute of their time swimming it was so beautifully peaceful Rock view farm was exactly what we need our spot to ourselves. We highly recommend this Hipcamp spot we will definitely be returning.. Thank you Dean and Tracy

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights at Tracy & Dean's property over Easter. Our site was right on the creek with direct access to the water which the kids loved swimming and splashing in, even moreso when a kayak was kindly brought down for them to use, we struggled to get them out of the creek! Large open spaces without another camp-site for hundreds of meters! Nothing was too much trouble, from our late arrival, to our late afternoon vacate due to sore heads from the beers the night before! Only complaint was that we had to leave! Thank you!!

We had a fantastic time camping here over the Easter long weekend. We had a peaceful and private spot and were able to park right upto the riverbank. River was good for swimming too. We will be back, thank you Tracy!

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot and Tracy was a very welcoming, warm and supportive host. There is no reception here which is just what I wanted- I came to unplug and unwind. Tracy assured me that if I needed anything I could just go up and see them ☺️ My campsite was still very private as the owners live elsewhere on the property. The campsites border a beautiful creek and my doggo had the time of her life running around and having a swim. Spent my evenings watching the full moon rise by the campfire. A perfect place if you’re after a bit of solitude without having to be totally isolated 🙏🏼

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Tracy’s property for a weekend. Tracy was very accomodating and answered my million questions! We actually had the place to ourselves which was awesome. It was quiet and cosy. The creek was cool and refreshing, and the sound of the running water was very relaxing. There was a lot of gorgeous bird life, and I even saw a monitor lizard. Of a night it cools right down and the stars are gorgeous. Tracy’s property is the perfect place to kick back and relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life!

Good dark sky location for astrophotography (bortle 1). Plenty of room to find a spot next to the creek or out in the open. Tracy was very kind and made sure I had no issues. Was easily reachable via UHF on arrival (no cel service in area).

Absolutely enjoyed our peaceful time next to the creek, turtles, ducks lots of birds and we even saw a platapus. The hosts were lovely Road noise was not a problem.

Our 2nd time here and won’t be our last. Had a very relaxing weekend watching the foals play, listening to the birds. Our 2 dogs love the creek to play in. Having no phone reception was no problem as it makes you sit back and relax. The main road is close by but really didn’t notice it even at night as I’m a light sleeper

We enjoyed an overnight stay at Rockview Farm. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and moon rise. There were plenty of birds and we were invited to collect any firewood we could find. There’s a bit of highway noise in the distance but it’s not obtrusive. The hosts are responsive and welcoming and not overbearing. A perfect spot for self-contained, peaceful overnight stay.
