Piper’s Grounds – Private Hilltop Pad for Self-Contained Caravans Park up, switch off, and soak in the views at Piper’s Grounds — a private, elevated site exclusively for self-contained caravans and RVs. Set on a spacious, excavated pad with sweeping rural vistas, this peaceful slice of countryside is your perfect base for exploring the Whitsundays region — or simply enjoying the serenity of nature. Located just outside of Airlie Beach, Piper’s Grounds offers a flat, grassy space that’s easy to access and ideal for caravans. With no neighboring campers, it’s a completely private stay, surrounded by open paddocks, 2 large shady rain trees, and surrounding rolling hills. Wake to birdsong, enjoy visits from the resident guinea fowl and sheep and watch the sunset over the tree-lined ridge with a drink in hand. This is camping stripped back to what really matters — space, stillness, and fresh country air. 🔥 Campfires welcome in the provided fire drum (seasonal restrictions apply). Stargazing here is spectacular, with minimal light pollution and big open skies. 🛻 Self-contained vehicles only at this stage – No amenities are provided, so guests must have their own toilet, water, and waste facilities. 🐑 Farm-style surroundings – Share your stay with free-ranging guinea fowl and the occasional curious sheep. 📍Close to it all 🏙️ Proserpine: ~15 minutes (approx. 18 km) 🏖️ Airlie Beach: ~20 minutes (approx. 22 km) You’re perfectly positioned to enjoy day trips to Conway National Park, waterfalls, and the Whitsundays. Piper’s Grounds is suited for peaceful getaways, overnight stopovers, or longer stays where you can truly unwind off-grid. No crowds, no noise – just the gentle sounds of nature and wide open skies.

    Een mooi plekje met fantastisch uitzicht. Leuk met de boerderijdieren om je heen. Het kampvuur en volle maan maakte onze avond off grid zeer geslaagd. Brodie en haar man zijn erg gastvrije hosts. A beautiful spot with a fantastic view. It was lovely being surrounded by farm animals. The campfire and full moon made our off-grid evening a real success. Brodie and her husband are very hospitable hosts.

    Had a lovely time in this peaceful spot! We arrived late and the hosts had started a fire for us which was really sweet! We enjoyed chatting with the hosts and feeding the sheep :)

    We only stayed the one night. It was nice and quiet on a 5 acre block but camping was maybe 75m from the main house. Not quite what we expected.

    Beautiful people we loved the serenity was reasonably priced and although we didn't have a camper van, they allowed us to camp which was a God-sent since we didn't know we were coming to Airlie Beach beach on such a popular weekend

    Brodie was simply the best, such a kind and generous host. Since she had the time she even offered to drive us down to Airlie Beach for the day and pick us up in the evening, so we didn’t have to park our van in town which was super kind and made our stay absolutely perfect. A quiet and beautiful spot I’d recommend to anyone who’s van is self-sufficient.

    We stayed two nights here and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Just 15min. outside of Airlie Beach, it was the perfect spot for us outside of town at a great price. While the google pin isn’t entirely accurate, Brodie reached out early and gave us detailed directions which was super helpful. Your van needs to be self-sufficient (power, water, toilet and shower not available atm), but Brodie and her partner were really kind and welcoming hosts and we would definitely go again!
