Dee put us on a nice flat, grassy, spot away from most other campers.. it was perfect! The creek is beautiful, crystal clear water and has spots deep enough to dip your entire body and spots shallow enough that our 2 toddlers could explore. Absolutely loved our stay, thanks Dee!

We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Camps however our request to be as far away from other campers with close access to the creek was not ideal. Dee was very accommodating suggesting that once booked we could change our camp location once onsite.
What we ended up with was a non powered campsite away from others but very close to the Bruce Highway, let’s say 150 or so metres or so. It wasn’t what you’d call Paradise and not only was the road noise quite loud there is also the main train line between Brisbane and Cairns and the local sugar cane rail line.
The access to the creek was quite treacherous at best for over 60’s and when we went for a swim after setting up camp there was a large group of indigenous folk who were enjoying the swimming spot from access provided via a public road off the highway. They were fine but making plenty of noise, smoking cigarettes and playing loud music in what I thought was a private location and definitely not guests of Paradise Camps that I paid $60 a night for.
The road noise was tolerable after dark and we couldn’t complain however the following day we elected to relocate further west away from the highway and although you can’t escape from the noise of the highway & trains completely it was much better. The creek near the camp kitchen is simply beautiful and the access via the concrete stairs makes it safe and easy for all levels of mobility.
All in all it’s a nice spot but $60 a night for two people in an unpowered site is a bit rich.

We were asked if we would like to change to paddock 6 as it was closer to everything. It was a lovely site and we would stay there again. The weather was really hot nut wr had plenty of shade and the creek was nice and cool.

We were fortunate enough to have the whole of Paddock 2 to ourselves — my two dogs and 1.5-year-old absolutely loved it! Our stay was more than comfortable, with plenty of space for my parents’ 19ft caravan, my tent, and my sister’s swag.
Due to recent flooding, access to the creek was a little tricky and required a bit of bushwalking, but it was well worth the effort once we got there. The sandbanks, crystal-clear water, and open space for the dogs to run — plus a few deeper spots to swim — made it a great spot for everyone.
The traffic noise was noticeable, as advertised, since the site is closest to the road. That said, it’s a beautiful place to listen to it from! We’ll definitely be back.

Overall nice spot, Highway noise was constant, though it was a bit dear, it jumped from $36 for 2 people 1 week , 2weeks later it was $48 for 2 people, week later it was $60 for 2 people, plus extra for children & $10 extra a night for amenities . Great swimming holes.

Dee was lovely. Location perfect. Lovely swimming spots along the creek. Was a busy weekend but didn’t feel packed. Tons of space for off grid campers less for powered all in one paddock.
Only downside was we were asked to be quiet at 9:42pm on a Saturday night whilst playing charades with kids!! not even playing music. Then other campers made way more noise until after midnight and none said anything. Very upsetting for us and actually pretty strange. Put a real damper on the whole place.

Amazing campground. Big grassy sites, peaceful vibes, amazing swimming holes. Amenities were very clean. The kids loved the feeding the horses and the very friendly Athena (Dee’s border collie) joining them for a swim in the creek.
Great location to base yourself to day trip and explore Babinda Boulders and Josephine Falls.

Small little piece of paradise here in the FNQ with abundance of camping space. Kids loved the fresh water creek to cool off with FNQ heat. Would definitely come back here

Very well maintained, but we attended during a long weekend in school holidays and it was too crowded for my likings! If you like staying on a caravan park with ample room, you will probably love it. We love private bush camping so was not for us.

The place is stunning! The creek was beautiful, kids and dog loved it. Take crocs or water shoes so you can enjoy it without worrying about the rocks under feet. We booked paddock 5 but thankfully Ken moved us much closer to shower/toilet block for Mum (a small extra fee to utilise). Campers are very spread out for privacy. There’s sweet horses that come to visit the top paddocks near the amenity area. The camp kitchen is fabulous. We visited early Oct and it was perfect weather for exploring and swimming. Close to Babinda Boulders and Brampton Beach. There’s a petrol station just down the highway and a convenience store across the road from that. 5 min further down the road is the town of Babinda which has a supermarket (SPAR), cafes, pubs and niche little shops. There is little to no phone reception at the camp - adds to the serenity! But just prepare if you were planning on contacting people for work/kids etc. Overall the property is highly maintained. This was our first ever HipCamp and we were honestly so impressed.

Beautiful place. Dee is a lovely host as are the puppies and horses. Ethel does a great job as camp manager. It's close to see many other places to look at as well. Swimming hole number 1 rivals Alligators Nest as far as we're concerned. We will be back, we travel with our cat, a lot of planes say they're pet friendly but only mean dogs. Highly recommend Paradise Camp to all cat travellers.

My family loved Paradise Camps. Easy access from highway. The water was crystal clear and beautiful for swimming. Well maintained property with a few horses and lots of bird life. So much space to spread out and enjoy the scenery.

We loved it here. The two swimming spots were great, one more established one with stairs, that was deeper and more for swimming, and the other, a little sandy beach perfect for the kids to paddle, was accessed right near where we parked our van in the Mangostein paddock.
We wish we could have stayed longer, it was so peaceful and tranquil.
