Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in. We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. All campers must check in before dark and call me before entering. We look forward to your enquiry.

It is right next to our paragliding and hang gliding training hill, so you can get a good view of people flying off or watching our tandem take off in the morning. This is an all weather site. You can watch the barefoot water skiers go over the water jump from your campsite. This site is for people that don’t mind being where the action is, it is not for someone that wants the be alone. If you want to be right near the swimming hole then this is the site for you, you can site and watch your kids go swimming and others as well. You can also watch the water skiers jump from your camp site, they are amazing. If you want to be away from people then this site is not for you. We only allow one group at a time here. Good for 1 caravans, camper trailer or tents or two roof top tents. This is an unpowered campsite with the option to have power for an extra $30/night, per hook up. There is a flat area for a caravan and the the rest has a slope to it.

Such a beautiful spot to relax right on the lake with mountain views. Great base for exploring the local area with Mount Tamborine and Lamington National park not far away. Lisa was a great host, very accessible and responsive. We would definitely book again.

5 Days prior to booking had family medical emergency and had to return home over 1000km away and could not keep booking. Advised host immediately. Host unable to refund any of the costs but did offer credit. Disappointed none of the costs could be refunded as I am so far away it is unknown when I will be back that way.

We enjoyed our site 3b near the lake with power. Kids loved jumping off the pontoon and swimming. Birds were great to sit back with drink in hand and watch ducks, purple swamphens, egrets, Willie wagtailsand the lone pelican catching fish. The hang guilders dropped from ultralite were cool to see. My favourite thing was watching the cows roam around and take dips in the lake to cool off from the midday summer heat...they loved it. Firewood buy on-site, hot showers $2 for 3mins were great after a swim, Porta-loos not far. Bring your own drinking water and wash up water. Come relax and enjoy the serenity.

Owner nice but struggles with the numbers which caused our trip to be very let down. After we specifically chose a site on booking, a few days prior to camp the owner changed our site without any communication. After setting us up at a site the owner told us we would need to pack up, move and re set up our camp at another site because she had mixed up the sites and there was another booking for the site we were on the next day. She was very rude and hostile towards us stating we went to the wrong site until we were able to prove that she had told us to go to this site and she had gotten mixed up when everyone was checking in and then she was very kind. We asked for complementary fire wood for having to pack up our site and move as a way to make up for it and were brought 4 pieces of wood. We were only there for 2 nights so having to move our site mid stay was definitely not worth it. The location its self is absolutely gorgeous as a great dam location, hinterland views. Multiple portaloo's and fire sites, surrounded by cows. Alot more additional rules on booking then initially advertised.

First time out camping with my new setup, absolutely loved the location. A small patch of trees helped with the feeling of privacy, despite other people being around. I loved waking up next to the water! Only a 40 min drive from where I live on the GC.. I think I might need to make a return visit, soon! Thank you again!

1 A - All weather campsite
Enjoyed camping on the peaceful farm with nature all around i.e. cows and even saw a fox. Sites are far apart and neighboring campers were far enough away not to deter from the peace of nature. Will definitely be back and recommend it to friends and family.

Great site. Clean and well maintained. Easy access and nice facilities. Cute cows (their mows are a natural alarm clock) and wildlife as a bonus :)

Massive set up for all types of campers here. Generous space for each group, with a dam to swim in. I was solo in my hammock but found a nice couple of trees to hang out in. Lisa's a machine getting about the place with her headset and golf cart, delivering firewood, and making sure people are finding their spots. Great for a close to Brisbane getaway.

21 - Hill Campsite
Lisa gave good directions to the property so getting there was easy. We chose Site 21 for privacy at the back of the property with bush views - no water view. A quick walk to the water, plenty of clean portaloos. Slightly sloped but enough flat space for gazebo & tent. A couple of small trees for shade which was good. Plenty of sun for our solar. Showers are great, remember $2 coins. Firepits on all sites. Daily firewood collection is a great system. A big wheelbarrow for $50 on our first day & had wood leftover after 3 nights - good wood! Lovely to get a visit from a herd of cows & calves, just strolled around our site & we fed the chickens :) The neighbour’s tractor was noisy for a long time which spoilt the peace, but farm work has to be done! The couple next to us played loud music but I asked them to turn it down & they did. Thankfully Lisa has strict rules about turning music off by 8pm. The sites are close together so if someone books next to you, you can see & hear them. We heard them arguing the next morning then they left. You fill water containers for washing with a hose by the water, so handy. We have a kayak & trolley, it was easy to walk it down to the water, so lovely out on the huge lake. One big family decided to gather by the jetty & play loud music while they swam - the only entry point for the kayak so it wasn’t as tranquil that afternoon. Overall a good camping spot with handy conveniences & beautifully maintained lush grass.
