Only an hour north west from Brisbane, just over half an hour north from Ipswich. We now have toilets. A semi self contained caravan is coming soon, hopefully ready by the Christmas holidays. We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. We have 2 portaloos (hand pump to flush and wash hands) A fire pit is provided at each site. Forage for wood on the ground only. Absolutely no axes/chainsaws etc are to touch our trees at all, they are koala protected. Really great basic bush camp! Not for those seeking amenities, which is exactly what we like about it. We felt like our group were the only ones there, even though there were a few groups around. The kids basically lived in the playground for 3 days, and loved it so much they are ready to go back. Danielle was a fabulous and friendly host. Thanks for a lovely long weekend away!

Such a beautiful location, we stayed in our coaster and with another couple in a swag and their dog, and we all had a fantastic time. So much room between sites that you feel like you’re on your own. Toilet was right by our camp so convenient, and extremely clean. Very warm welcome from the host, which was very nice too. We were camping up the hill, and accessibility was fine for our old bus, however i would be hesitant if it was wet. Absolutely perfect location for if you’re wanting a bush camp with privacy, and the best location for fun at the dam! Would highly recommend!!

The site itself was good to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living for a couple of days. There were quite a few families with young kids there but our campsite was further away from them. For the number of people camping on the property, there needed to be more access to portaloo toilet facilities.

Yet another amazing stay at Northbrook! Such a fabulous property, and Danielle and her family are the most wonderful hosts. Kids had a blast on the zip lip and trampoline - such great bonuses to the site! Everything was well maintained just like last time. We will definitely be back again!

Very rough entrance, toilets were yuk, wouldn’t want a bushfire to go through, with one driveway and a locked gate, no safety requirements adhered to. Waste of money.

Was a great stay, plenty of wildlife on the property. Really enjoyable dawn chorus even had breaky with a pacific baza. Great hosts very knowledgeable about what’s on their property 😁

Absolute fabulous location. Close to the lake for recreational purposes, to, a secluded bush retreat. Complimentary firewood and room to move around with our group. We had a fantastic weekend.

Easy access. Lots of shade and great play area for kids. The camp site was not exclusive to our group however was big enough that we weren’t camping on top of one another. We had a very enjoyable relaxing stay. Thank you ☺️

We had a great time at Northbrook Skies. Danielle was a very helpful host and everything was as per our expectations. Kids loved the playground and sports equipment available and there was plenty of space to run around without worrying about cars or roads etc. Thanks for a great stay.

We where a group of 3 couples and camped in corner of thia beautiful land. Communication with Danielle was easy, and directions were straight forward enough. Camp sites are not designated so make sure to arrive early. They are many sites to camp but some are closer togather than others. We were lucky that only another group booked the weekend so we pretty much had a privatw spot. There is a toilet available and fire pit. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

A lovely, quiet spot perfect for relaxing around the campfire. The setting was peaceful and exactly what we needed to unwind. Danielle was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and clear in all her communication. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a calm getaway.

This was a great site. We initially had a set up at the back of the bottom area but some intense rainfall turned it into a mud pit. Danielle and her family raced down to assist us with relocating our tent and gazebo to a new location before the next lot of rain arrived. Our two kids, 5yo and 2yo, loved the playground, particularly the flying fox! The location is quite convenient to Fernvale and Lowood. There is also a nice creek ~600-800m north that the kids spent hours playing in.

It's a wonderful camp site - shaded, green grass, flat and spreaded out. We had a campsite close to the playground which is an awesome spot for the kids. The kids loved playing there. The only negative was that the dunny got full, luckily there was another one up the hill.
