Kenilworth Rural Camping is a quiet, family friendly private camping area in the heart of Kenilworth, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Adjacent to the Charles Street Mary River parklands, this 5 acre block has beautiful drive through, flat grassy sites. Shady or open spaces with a seasonal water hole on the property, 150mtrs from the Mary River, through the park or a 5 minute walk to town (600mtrs to the pub!). We have 5 camping sites, each suitable to any size caravans, campers, tents etc. Each site has the capacity to fit 3 caravans or equivalent and up to 10 guests. Fire pits at all sites. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient with your own toilet/shower set up and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL waste. Please do not book if you do not have your own toilet. Please , nothing is to be burnt in the firepits other than firewood. No glass bottles or can's at all. Dogs must be on a leash at ALL times and must be cleaned up after. Family Group bookings welcome! Strictly no party groups. *All guests must be added to the booking request. Children under 12 are free but please ensure you include them in with the booking request. *The Mary River, and the water hole water levels are determined on rain fall.*

Great site. Been wanting to stay here for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Refreshing to have the grass mowed. Most places we’ve been lately the grass is always long. Site 1 was great and gave great shade from 3pm if close to the trees. Site 3 and 4 get lots of sun in the afternoon but probably still better sites (well 3 is anyway).

Cracking spot..close to the main street and a short stroll for a dip in the Mary River.. large grassy sites with plenty of shade..easily accessible for large vans ... council bins and dump point close by... stayed here multiple times and highly recommend staying here

Site 2 - Kenilworth Rural Camping
Loved camping here. 5 Large grassy sites, with huge trees to sit under at 4 of them. Plenty of space between sites so you definitely don't feel crowded. Dogs are welcomed too. You do need to be fully self-contained including a toilet. Only a short 150m walk to the river and 600m Kenilworth township. This is a great place to base yourself while exploring the Mary Valley region

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a beautiful, peaceful spot! The grounds were so well maintained and it felt like the perfect little escape. We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot, loved it. So peaceful would definitely stay again and recommend it. Site 1 and 2 have more of a creek front. We stayed in 3 and it was very pretty. Easy walk into town and you have to visit West ‘N Colour an amazing western wear shop. The ladies are beautiful.

We stayed at Site 3 and enjoyed the peace and quiet very much. Only one other camper there so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Site 1 & 2 get the morning sun and lovely afternoon shade (great for Summer), Site 3 & 4 get morning shade (if you like it a bit cooler in the morning and park close to the trees) and Westerly afternoon sun so depending on what you like there's a site for everyone. We look forward to returning one day soon.

Site 4 - Kenilworth Rural Camping
We stayed for three nights over the school holidays and absolutely loved it. The sites are huge, with only five sites spread across the property, so it felt peaceful and spacious the whole time. Our site had a fire pit, plenty of shade, and was an easy walk to the river and into the town of Kenilworth. We did a day trip to Borumba for a hike, but honestly you could set up camp and find plenty to do without going anywhere. I stayed with two teenage boys and my mum and dad, and there was something for everyone — fishing, hiking, building rock dams in the river, enjoying the famous Kenilworth donuts, and a great meal at the local pub. A fantastic spot for families and anyone looking for a relaxed, well-spaced campsite close to town and nature.

Great space. Main site is the size of a football field with sites 1-4 positioned in each corner and then another off shute for site 5. All with fire pits. Plenty of room for groups at each site without encroaching on the other sites. Well maintained, grassed area. Shane came around to check everything was okay, very welcoming. The campsite is only a short walk to the Mary River and the shops of Kenilworth.
