This was a great experience. Close to town but secluded. The area is very well kept. We can’t wait to come back and have some more time in the local area exploring and knowing that we have a great spot to be in!

We have been here three times now. We love how peaceful it is and how far away you are from your next camp site. A short walk into town if needed and a short walk to the lovely flowing river. The area is well maintained. Highly recommended this place.

We camped here for 3 days , very relaxing, a short walk to the town centre, 100m to the river , large shady trees around all the sites. We enjoyed the peace and quiet . Fabulous spot. The pups enjoyed it too.

Peace and tranquility

The grounds were immaculately kept, freshly mowed green grass, beautiful large trees providing lots of shade but more than enough open space as well. Lovely clear running creek to the back of the property for a refreshing swim. Township is a short easy stroll from the camp grounds with a great bakery, bottle shop, cheese factory just to name a few. Dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Sites are spread apart for privacy and all have fire pits. Met our host Shane on arrival and what a super nice bloke, very friendly and easy going. We especially loved the peace and tranquility providing for a very relaxed stay! We’ll definitely be going back again.

Excellent spot for a long weekend away. Plenty of room for 4 vans on site 1. Even though we were in a total fire ban area the area was so green and lush. Thanks Shane we’ll be back 👍🏼

What a wonderful place! Close to the river, soft green grass cover and good access. Very quiet and relaxing. This is a great place to rest and re-charge. BYO everything, there are no facilities here.

Huge space on soft grass. Large enough for several vehicles, vans, tents and a volleyball game without getting anywhere close to the few other sites available in the field (each offering the same qualities). Location is peaceful and private yet close enough to walk to the river, walk into town or the Showgrounds toilet/shower facilities. 2nd time this year and I will happily be back for a 3rd.

Camping under the trees

The site was shaded with a massive old tree. Full shade all morning, shade with sun only through the tree to late afternoon noon. Full afternoon sun that only lasted about an hour! It was cool, lovely breeze and a short walk to the pub for dinner. We had 3 dogs with us and they were welcomed. Shaun was lovely, very welcoming and happy for us to be enjoying his property! We will definitely be back in the future!

Beautifully presented, so private and quiet. The trees, the birdsong, the shade, the location! Perfect! Easy walk into Kenilworth for coffee, donuts and dinner at the pub. Highly recommmend this site!

Very pleasant setting near (200m) the river, with plenty of shade when needed. Quiet and peaceful. Cĺose enough to town to walk to, but far enough away not to have noise. Easy to get in and out with a big van. You need to be fully self contained.

Beautiful spots, close to the river and the town, yet it feels secluded. Grassy sites and well-maintined - all with good sized fire pits. With 5 large sites, it never feels overcrowded. We've booked multiple times here. We love it.

Nicely spread out sites across a well maintained, grassed field, with plenty of flatter ground. Fire pit is large and plenty of room for a family or friends group (unfortunately the group before us had left drink tins burned out in and around the pit). Very close to town - can walk in or a quick drive.

Shanes camping grounds were clean, green, dog friendly- on leads or behind your fencing and allowed plenty of space between camp sites. Not all ground is level so be prepared with levellers. We are a large rig 17m when hooked up and the site still allowed ample room. Great location to walk into town to avoid parking issues especially on weekends. We booked 2 nights but ended up staying 4. Easy walk down to the small stream to cool off if you have a dog. We met Shane and his wife on our last night and were very friendly. Clear instructions to get to the property.

I wish my small patch of lawn at home looked as pristine as the acres of grass here. Such a great weekend! We circled the wagons around a huge fire ring, and was spaced well away from your neighbours. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but after a 5 min walk you are in town for coffee and donuts or later in the day, it was a walk to the pub for a celebratory drink after the Lion's win. Sensational spot and we will absolutely be back again.

Beautiful crass to set up your camp, sites nicely spaced and a great location walking distance from town. Shane called past one afternoon and introduced himself, Great guy very helpful with local information. We will definitely be back and stay longer next time.

Lovely grassy site and outlook. Grass well maintained. Morning sun and trees were great for nearby shade. Firepit provided is great. Other sites are a good distance away and we didn't hear them. Short walk to town. Shane, very friendly host, checked on us near end of stay to ensure everything was OK.

Space galore!

It was a wonderful property to stay at. There was plenty of space between other campers. There was great access to Mary River, Kenilworth town, and the Showgrounds for showers and a dump point. Deer in neighbouring property a sweet surprise. We will definitely stay again!!!
