Situated on 61 acres, our campsites are very private and accessible by 4-wheel drive or on foot only. The campsites are surrounded by bush and slightly sloping. Two sites have toilets available on-site. All sites have a fire pit, and firewood is provided. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, including wallabies, bandicoots, sugar gliders, koalas, frogs, various reptiles, and numerous bird species. Lake Dyer is just a 12-minute drive away, where you can go fishing, swimming, and boating. Hidden Vale Adventure Park is just a 25-minute drive away, which is a great place to go mountain biking.

Very private campsite among the trees suitable for campers or pull up your car with your roof top tent. If you want to be amongst the trees and nature without being disturbed by any other campers, then this is the campsite for you. Dogs are welcome as long as they're under control or on a leash the whole time as we do have lots of wildlife here and our horses roam the property as well. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Firewood is provided and fires are to be kept in designated fireplaces only. 4 wheel drive access only to this site. Please make sure you bring your own drinking water as there is no access to water.

Large open grass area suitable for anything from your swag up to your caravan. There is a large fire pit/BBQ and covered picnic table and camp sink available for you to use for cooking. firewood is provided. we ask that you don't cut your own wood but you're welcome to collect smaller bits of wood from around the site if needed. This area is directly off the driveway so it is easier access if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle although a 4x4 vehicle is recommended in wet weather.

Looking for a tranquil escape in the heart of the bush? Look no further! Our campsite offers everything you need for an idyllic getaway. Settle in to our spacious and secluded area that is exclusively yours for the booking period, complete with a tent (please make sure you bring a camp bed or mattress, the tent will be empty when you arrive) , a toilet for your convenience, and even water for washing (not suitable for drinking). Relax around the crackling fire pit, where firewood is provided to keep you warm as you listen to the symphony of bush noises. And keep your eyes peeled for a visit from our friendly horses, who love to wander around the property. But that's not all! Our slice of wilderness is home to a diverse range of local wildlife, from wallabies and sugar gliders to koalas and various reptiles. So come prepared to spot some fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. All you need to bring is your camping bed/mattress, bedding and cooking gear, and you're set for an unforgettable bush adventure.

We loved a few quiet nights away at this hidden gem. We booked at short notice and had no issues finding the place with clear instructions. The site was perfect, camp fire and bench seats was a lovely little spot to sit back and watch the stars while roasting a few marshmallows. The basic toilet was an appreciated touch for the females in our group. Very private spot, did not see the host (no need - but they were very attentive and quick to respond to messages with questions) it felt very secluded though only a short drive from the town to grab supplies. The horses came down to the damn for a nightly visit which was quite magical. A few local sights worthwhile to visit like the lookout and suspension bridge which is home to beautiful turtles. The locals of laidley were super friendly and we had some great food from the local chippo and bakery. If you are looking for a comfortable off grid stay (dog friendly too!) this place ticks all the boxes. Thanks so much, hope to return sometime!

Cannot recommend Mel’s little piece of paradise enough. Lovely spot with friendly horses. Loo with a view, kitchen tent with table, benches and sink provide a touch of camp luxury. The boys in our group were bummed with the fire ban but that is outside everyone’s control. Only had one small issue which was remedied as soon as I sent Mel a message. Super spot and awesome host 😊.

Nice and quiet, just a good natural bush setting and only 1 hour from Brisbane, not much to do but sit and relax and enjoy stopping. Was a ;itt;e chalenge to get in with the caravan but ok just went steady. I would love to return especialy in the winter months.

We have mixed feelings about our stay - but just because it wasn't perfect for us, we think it would really suit smaller setups and campers We've given feedback to our hosts - who were really lovely & even came to apologise that there had been so much noise on our first afternoon. Being in someone's yard - we totally understand that there will be the noises of life with dogs and repairs and minor construction. But we appreciated the apology nonetheless. Anyone with a setup as long as ours we would not recommend it to. The driveway is just very very steep and with a couple of tight turns. There's also very limited flat area for the van. We found it hard to level up even with timber chocks and bricks. Beautiful bush setting. Very private outlook down into bushland on the 'Top Yard' site. The family home is on top of the hill but there's plenty of trees to give you privacy. The open air flushing toilet and the outdoor sink & tables next to a really large firepit were great. Beautiful secluded spot. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. We loved our time at The Valley. Felt like the only people there. Will definitely be back.

Melanie’s property is absolutely beautiful. The photos on here really don’t do it justice. There are 4 camps. We stayed at top camp with our large caravan. It was a little sketchy getting it in and out of the property but I’ve also only driven the caravan twice! Could have been accessible 2wd in the dry. There are two more beautiful camps that are better suited to smaller vehicles and a 4th with a bell tent by a damn. These three are 4wd accessible. The family were absolutely lovely and we enjoyed chats with them, and got to meet their beautiful animals. The place is very peaceful and private from the world. The stars and sunrises were incredible. From top camp you can see the house, but it’s still private enough. Compost toilets are great! And there’s running water and a huge fire pit with wood provided. My car was not working and Saul came to help over several days including Charging a battery for me. We’ll be back! Thank you for such a beautiful stay, highly recommend it especially being so close to Brisbane.

Exactly as advertised! Simple, peaceful and very secluded. Melanie was very easy to communicate with and super helpful. Having the horses visit each afternoon was an added highlights. Would definitely recommend this spot 😊

Peaceful spot was a great wind down. PLENTY of firewood provided. Instructions on how to find were clear as were the signs on site directing campers. Appreciated the privacy and not being bothered.

Very nice secluded camping spots. Great fire place for all your cooking and sitting around. Top Yard is a bit on a slope, but no issues if you in a van or roof top tent.

The camp site Mel suggested was ideal given we had multiple dogs. It was very private. We have an old camper trailer and it was good for us. The local horses came for a visit no issues. Unfortunately I was allergic to something there and kept getting hives. I used lots of mozzie spray and had coils but it wasn't effective on what I was experiencing. I thought it might be midges but, it didn't affect my husband. So I have no idea. A nice spot and you definitely need a 4WD like advertised.
