We loved camping in this beautiful spot. The creek was nice and the kids enjoyed using the kayaks. Got some nice visits from the cows and horses. Fireflies were amazing. Highly recommend.

Perfect Family Camp

A really lovely spot to put our feet up for a couple of days. Kids had a blast with the kayaks and hanging out with the cows and horses. Kurt was super responsive on messages, toilets and showers were clean and maintained. Heaps of room to kick a ball and have personal space. It was just a really pleasant experience.

What a great spot! We enjoyed our time here, nice creek to swim in, kids loved using the kayaks and seeing the fireflies. Kurt was a great host. We will be back, highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful camping spot! The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kids loved having the kayaks on site – the water was calm and perfect for paddling and safe play.
One of the highlights was seeing the animals gently wandering around the property, and we were even able to pat a few – such a special experience. The facilities were excellent and made the stay really comfortable. At night, the fireflies lit up the area, and the variety of wildlife was amazing to see. We’re already planning to come back in hopes of spotting a platypus next time.
Kurt, the owner, and his family were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. The campsite itself was flat and ideal for tents like ours, which made setting up easy.
Overall, it was a magical and memorable experience. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a peaceful escape in nature!

We had an amazing long weekend stay. The drive there was unreal and the scenery was beautiful. Our camp site was right by the creek, if you forget your firewood there is heaps there. They have the friendliest cows I’ve ever seen, happy to be around humans. Lovely and peaceful place to stay. Would highly recommend.

We loved the location and as others have said we were also a bit wary with the location so close to the road however the area was beautiful and we barely saw another car drive past. Unfortunately we did not see a platypus but the local Cows and Horses kept us company and our dog very intrigued.

Lots of space to spread out. Beautiful creek and loved the farm animals. Good clean facilities and kayaks to borrow. Swings for the kids too.
Lovely scenic drive in and the road was well maintained. Will be back :).

The land was stunning. We loved the swings for the kids and canoes. The cows and horses were friendly the kids even got a pat. Even our dog had a great time! We missed the platapus but hopefully they will be there next time 😊

gorgeous, remote spot very quiet, beautiful trees I wouldn’t swim in the creek, but it sounds so relaxing as it trickles over the little bridge
Glad we had power as I think the sun wouldn’t penetrate through the trees for very long

Really lovely place, our 2 year old loved the swings and we loved the hammock swings. Only issue we had were the toilet and shower privacy. There is only very thin flowy curtains used as doors for the toilets and showers and if the wind blows and someone walks past you’re exposed. Other than that would be back.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at High Country . We saw just one platypus early in the morning . Good facilities and fire pits and lots of timber for a fire which was great .

Peaceful Creekside Retreat

This High Country campsite was everything we hoped for, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to truly unplug. With no phone reception, we were able to fully disconnect and enjoy nature. The sound of the creek beside our site was incredibly calming, and the cool mountain air made for the best sleep we’ve had in a long time.
One of the biggest surprises was the balance between rustic and comfortable, hot showers and flushing toilets were such a luxury in a place that still feels off-grid and remote. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up.
Families, take note: there were swings for the kids, which kept them entertained while we relaxed by the fire. It’s a great spot for both adventure and downtime.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape with a touch of comfort. Whether you’re solo, a couple, or bringing the whole family.
We’ll definitely be back!

We loved our time at this site. The hot showers and flushing toilets were immaculate and so good! We camped right on the creek and had the sound of running water. It was bliss. A great spot to visit. We’ll be back!

This place was a wonderful find and breathtaking. From a gorgeous creek to paddle on (with kayaks readily available for use) to rolling green pastures and fun animals trotting past, this camp was AMAZING! Peaceful, tranquil, surrounded by nothing but nature and clean toilet block with a hot shower makes camping here perfect. Could not recommend enough and will be back for sure.

We loved camping here. On arrival we were worried as you can see the road from a lot of camping spots, but we found it to be very quiet. The water has platypus in it and resident cows (5) and horses (2) were friendly and curious but kept to them selves. There was swing set by the bathrooms which was great and hammock chairs by the water and a picnic table under a shelter on the top level. The bathrooms impressed as they were clean and open and had the super bonus of hot water! We apriciated the bins too. The region is beautiful and there are lots of things to do, but equally easy to just stay and sit by the fire all day. We will defiantly be coming back.

Lovely spot that is tidy, relaxing, and beautiful. The owners are super friendly. The creek is beautiful and there are very spacious sites. Thankful that they share this spot with other nature lovers. Birdlife abundant and farm animals are lovely. Keen to stay again!

Amazing spot! The serenity and scenery were absolutely stunning, it was lovely being creekside and having the fire. Toilet block was clean, and hot showers. We enjoyed the visits from the cattle, horses and platypus in the creek, lots of kookaburras. The swings were a hit with our 2 girls. We will definitely be back! Thank you Kurt

A perfect place to relax and stay away from internet world. The place is secluded. My hubby called it a hidden paradise. The sound of the ck nearby, birds chirping, cows and horses plus the cold weather. Such a majestic nature. However, we can't contact and never seen the owner. My bad I did not see the location number of the place. We went to the wrong property as no network connection. We doesnt even know where we could pitch our tent. Good thing we got company and advice us what we would do.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourfamily bonding time together.

A stunning setting camping among the gum trees . Peaceful and tranquil. We had no service to find using Google maps so check directions beforehand, didn’t notice the sign and drove past but a very helpful local helped us find camp.
