We have 69 acres within the Barambah Wine Trail (which is located in Moffatdale, near Murgon, QLD). Our property backs onto the Bjelke Petersen Dam. Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire. The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities. There is also basic access to launch small boats. Dusty Hill Wines is just down the road and offers local wine tasting and some great meals in their restaurant. There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy. If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout. You will need to be fully self contained as we have no showers or toilets available. Campers will need to take all waste with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

We had a great time with friends and family. Very hot as we were not under a tree as it was so busy. We did have 1 little unwanted guest. A very slithery dude haha. We would go back.

We drove three hours to camp at this site, only to be told that camping is not allowed unless we have an RV or camper van. This restriction was not made clear in the booking process, nor was any information provided beforehand. Very disappointing. Not happy

What a banger of a site. Incredible views and the locals are a site to see! Longhorn Cows, lambs, waterbirds, and horses all around. Will be back.

One of the most peaceful, relaxing and picturesque places we've camped. The sites are very spacious and overlook the dam. It's so lovely sitting beside the fire as the sun goes down. Clint, the owner, is such a friendly person. The property is within walking distance to wineries. We will definitely be back.

Lovely spot right on the dam, area well maintained. Close to 3 wineries, lots of bird life, loved the sunsets over the water. Campers were well spaced out. Close to Murgon. Would come back again.

We recently returned to this beautiful site and would absolutely recommend it to others. The lake views, stand-up paddle boarding, and breathtaking sunsets are real highlights and make it a special place to camp. We stayed over Easter weekend, knowing it’s the busiest camping weekend of the year, so we expected it to be a bit more crowded than usual. While the overall atmosphere was still great, the group of families next to us set up a home cinema and played surround sound movies after dark, not quite what we had envisioned for a peaceful night under the stars (although I’m sure the kids thought it was fantastic!). This was no fault of the site hosts, who do a great job providing a wonderful location to camp and unwind. We’ll definitely be back!
