Stunning! I camped right beside the single windmill, with breathtaking views over the mountain and river. The peaceful sounds of the birds lulled me into a deep sleep, and I woke to the songs of birds and the sight of kangaroos at dawn. Such a beautiful, serene spot, the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Jackie was quick to respond, extremely helpful and very friendly.

This was a brilliant family camping trip. It is set on nice quiet land with plenty of room. The yards are well kept, the amenities make everything easy with toilets, showers, eating areas and proper areas for a real campfire. The hosts couldn’t have been any friendlier or more helpful. Communication was excellent and facilities were great. Our family will definitely return here! Thank you so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay camping at Hedlow Retreat. Nice & quiet by the creek with a lot of bird life. Enjoyed a nice campfire each night.
Grounds & facilities were neat & clean. We would visit again.

We had a lovely stay at Hedlow Retreat. Plenty of room for our large caravan on a grassy, level site. On site staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended for an extra night.

Beautiful spot by the creek. Very well maintained but still natural surroundings with lots of birds. Dining area, showers and toilets nearby are a bonus. Jaclyn & Matt are very welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. We will return!

Hedlow Retreat provided a superb setting for our recent long weekend. Although our booking was late, we were graciously offered an alternative campsite within the retreat, which proved to be both delightful and private. We had afternoon shade from the tree and the creek in our views.
Merle and Peter ( only babysitting the venue) were delightful from the get-go! They were so welcoming and always checked if we needed anything.
Hedlow Retreat is just gorgeous, a perfect country setting. The creek's right at your campsite with kayaks and canoes to use at your leisure. If your teens are older, tell them to bring their fishing rods; ours caught a barra upstream while canoeing.
The facilities were always spotless. The campsite had lovely mown grass and a well-maintained driveway, so the dust wasn't bad.
Our only minor complaint was the mosquitoes. After the rain, they were everywhere, and we didn't pack enough repellent. But a quick trip to Yeppoon for extra coils, spray and candles solved that.
We can't wait to go back to Hedlow Retreat!

Me and my partner stayed at the beautiful Hedlow Retreat for two nights and it was absolute magic, this place truly has everything you could want. The camp spot positioned right next to the creek has a wonderful outdoor covered area with tables and chairs and lights for dinners and shady afternoons, fire pits with great logs to sit on to spend the evenings around and canoes and kayaks to explore the creek. Everything was immaculate, toilets and showers are beautiful and well kept, not a single piece of rubbish on the sight.
Jaclyn and Matt who host you are truly wonderful people, they went above and beyond for us while we were staying there. They welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us hours of their time helping when our van batteries where flat when we came to leave. Honestly this is a one off location hosted by some of the best folk you’ll meet.

Absolutely beautiful spot to spend a night or a week. We stayed in the camping section & loved it. Nice grassy areas to camp. We were close to the water, clean toilets and showers and had access to chairs & a table set up. Kids had stand up paddle boards & kayaks to play with in the creek & heaps of wildlife around. Highly recommend.

Outstandingly beautiful location; manicured lawns and a natural waterway . Lots of birds and I saw a large turtle when SUPing this morning.
Worth the extra $ for an unpowered site in a quiet gorgeous spot.

Absolutely beautiful spot to absorb the tranquility and magic of this area.
Jaclyn was extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome.
All of the amenities were clean and comfortable. We love the touch of paddle boards and kayaks. Such a great way to see the area.

I had an amazing time at Jaclyn’s campsite! The facilities are top-notch and well-maintained, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights for me was the option to go boating, which added an extra layer of fun and relaxation to the experience. If you enjoy a well-equipped campsite with the bonus of water activities, this is definitely the place to be. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
