Things to Do Take a refreshing swim in Wide Bay Creek, with multiple swimming spots, including shallow areas perfect for children. Feel free to walk, hike, or jog around the property, enjoy the wildlife, and soak up the scenery. Bring your outdoor games — kids are welcome to ride bikes. Take a short five-minute trip to the Woolooga Hotel for a meal. Evenings are best spent under the stars, simply relaxing by the campfire. The Heart of Harriet’s Rest We are Poppy and Stephen, the owners of Harriet’s Rest. The name of our beautiful parcel of land is in memory of our late daughter, Harriet, whom we devastatingly and unexpectedly lost as a baby in 2024. This life-changing and incredibly tragic time left our family heartbroken and has made a lasting impression on our lives. For some time — even before we were expecting Harriet — we had been working hard to purchase our own little slice of paradise. When we finally achieved that goal, it felt only right to call this special place “Harriet’s Rest.” We believe in the power of nature to soothe, restore, and help heal hearts. Harriet’s Rest is now where we spend time together with family and friends, and we’re honoured to share it with you.Welcome to Harriets Rest, a peaceful rural escape where you can choose your own slice of nature to camp.
